Today didn't feel like a Monday at all and it flew by, which is always a plus in any workdays. I've gone through a little phase where I had trouble enjoying what I was doing (it was mostly through December, though) and I'm happy that the feeling has completely gone. It didn't last long but it was unpleasant.

I have another reason to be in a good mood this week, I've taken Wednesday off. It won't be a day of leisure as I'll use the time to work on a paper for school, but I've realised that aforementioned day off coincides with White Collar's season finale (that is D-Day+1), which means that I'll have the opportunity to watch it right after it's done downloading (I always download in the morning. Which is frustrating as it also means I have to go to work with the knowledge that the episode is already sitting on my HD and teasing me). So I intend to have a lie in before I watch the episode and then I'll go the library to work. I approve.

Stil about work (but actually about the Oscars), it was fun at work today because everyone was talking about The Artist and Jean Dujardin and the Oscars. It's also amusing to think of Americans discovering Jean Dujardin in the film because, obviously, we French have been following him since the very beginning of his career and it is indeed incredible to think of his "journey". Speaking of the beginning of his career, it includes gem like this one - Brice from Nice, a character that he's still famous for today and that's become a sort of classic. As proof, just last Saturday my BIL mocked me for something and quoted Brice when he did ;-) Dude, it's odd to think that "Brice" actually got an oscar lol

Speaking of early career and beginning - I'll use the above as a segue for my answers to the meme that I've seen all around my flist the past few days. Fandom starts )

That was fun!

Reason why there'll always be something missing in the American and British shows I watch; male characters (who are friends) don't kiss each other hello. And that's something I always enjoy in our own shows. This brought to you because I'm watching Les Bleus: premiers pas dans la police, which is a show about rookie police officers, and there was this scene where Kevin, one of the lead characters, was at the hospital at his boyfriend's bedside, and when his co-workers-buddies came in, the guys kissed, which is always cute to see. If familiar, mind.

Aka spéciale dédicace à [livejournal.com profile] crazybutsound, I could be falling for the show (yeah, I'm late to the party, I know). Guess I'll need to get my hands on the DVDs of the first seasons now.

Anyway. I had a Very Unproductive Day today. I basically slept the whole time. I've started feeling better (coughing has almost stopped) but I was just knackered. So I slept. And slept some more. And when I woke up it was 9.45 PM. Ok, then! But it was good *nodnod* Even if it means I'm behind work for class. At least this is a three-day weekend so I have tomorrow morning (we're celebrating my goddaughter's birthday - she's two tomorrow, where does time go omg? - in the afternoon) and all of Monday to catch up on my reading and writing. I can totally do it \o/

Unrelated. Something very sad? My mp3 is full. And I'm afraid I've reached that stage where I deleted and replaced all the songs/albums I could and those that are currently on the thing are there to stay now and cannot be deleted. So I'm stuck. Guess I need to buy a new one? I know I've been thinking of getting an iPod for some time. I'll see what I do about it next month.

Hey, sis, me again! Thanks to the beauty that is technology these days, there're so many different ways to wish you a happy birthday! This time it's on LJ-land. So the happiest of birthdays to one hell of a woman and one hell of a friend, namely [livejournal.com profile] turps33. Love you, sis *hugs*

Cookie and I had ourselves a little tv night last night. We started with the latest Being Human and continued with Hero Corp.

The former sorta traumatised us. Spoilers for 1x04 )

So after that, we needed some cheering-up, so to speak, and elected Hero Corp to do the job. And it so did! Captain Trois Rivières cracked me up! And when the whole gang was rehearsing their little gimmicks and stuff? Hilarious! The speeches! The little gestures that went with them! The utter non-sense of some of them - it was glorious!

Changing the subject now ; why do I love myself? Because I really know how to pick my novels. Here be proof; two little samples taken from The Man Who Fell in Love with the Moon by Tom Spanbauer that I'm reading at the moment.

"C.H.A.S.T.I.S.E.M.E.N.T," Dellwood spelled, "means getting spanked for liking to fuck."

and another one which technically contains a spoiler even though Shed, the main character, tells you about it right at the beginning of the story so it's not really a spoiler, imho. )

Seriously, wasn't that book meant for me? \o/

So it had to happen. Jem went back to Lyon this morning. She basically spent the three days she was at my place knitting. After the mp3 cozy, she made - and finished - a book cozy. I love it beyond the telling of it.

There's no words for how impressed I am with her mad knitting skillz! She's all 'oh, that little thing? Pfft, twas so easy' but I say she's talented! And so generous too, because she's always knitting something or other for her friends and family. And she never tries to stab me with her needles! Even when I add new items on my Things I'd Like Jem to Knit For Me list. Even better yet? Sometimes I don't even have to ask, like, with words.

When we were watching Christmas Cottage, I was gushing over a certain woolly hat and scarf Jared/Tom was wearing and I just looked at her and she went 'yes, Mouse, I get it'. Ha! Awesome is her middle name ♥ ♥

Changing the subject; we've been mainlining Hero Corp's first series last night. For those who know Kaamelott, Hero Corp is Simon Astier's baby. And it'd seem genius runs in the family, because the show is really cool and funny.

You can truly see the Astiers' touch, too. Alexandre and Simon aren't brothers for nothing :-) You have stupid and incompetent knights for the former and lame-o superheroes who've been exiled in an isolated village in the middle of nowhere for the latter.

Oh, and I really like the opening credits. Especially as they all look quite competent, which is pretty far from the truth now. I mean, sure, they used to be Big Name Superheroes. Once upon a time. Back in the day. A time when, for instance, Acidman wasn't called Captain Shampoo yet. Just to name one. Anyway, onto the opening credits!

Using photobucket to upload a video instead of a picture for the first time here. Vid embed behind the cut )

Doesn't it look nice? I think it does. Something else I love in Hero Corp is the characters' names. They all have English/American names, only prounounced à la française and it makes me laugh every time! It's just a tiny thing, when you think of it, but I think it's streak of genius :-)

Oh, talk about culinary souvenirs! In today's episode of Un Dîner Presque Parfait, one of the contestants decided to do a half-French half-English dinner. At the end of her appetizers, she brought a sekrit product which I'd recognised as soon as she started describing it at the beginning of the show; she talked about a 'really particular taste' and 'potential trauma' and how the French usually disliked it with a passion. She also mentioned 'salty' and 'strong'. I couldn't help my face going all scrunchy because I immediately thought 'MARMITE omg!'

And I was right. She picked Marmite as her little surprise. Except, I think she - and I - got the surprise because most of the other participants actually liked the taste! I'm still trying to grasp my mind around the concept of people liking Marmite.

I remember being at Wincon and forced to pop my Marmite cherry; it was nasty! Not only it is nasty but the taste just won't go away.

Changing the subject, though still on the subject of the UK, I'm all set for Connotations \o/ I received my Eurostar tickets, I've asked - and got - two days off at work, the hotel room is booked and [livejournal.com profile] yami_tai is going to book our train to Newcastle. I've done my part, if things go wrong and I can't attend, it won't be my doing but the universe's.

Okay. Now. Off to watch Live from Abbey Road for my daily PATD fix and then I'm hoping my T:TSCC download will be done. Heee 2x01 is here! And I almost missed it omg!

Season/show premiere time... how I longed for you. And you're finally here!

Slow day at work today. Slooooooow. Happy Girl, the co-worker I'm in most contact with, and I were all excited when we received our stationary order this morning - stationary makes me happy, I have no idea why - but apart from that, nothing exciting at all. Plus, we just realised that Boss Man won't be here at all so, you know, when the cat's away, Teh Mouse updates her LJ :-)

Many flisters have been gleefully reporting about the PATD concert last night and I'm feeling the first stage of Interest for Something New. Obviously I know about PATD, I have read some fics with them and I happen to have their two albums on my HD - [livejournal.com profile] crazybutsound's doing - but I'm now interested in seeing more of them. So let's say you wanted to pimp the boys to someone, what would you link them to? Stage performance, video clips, Days In the Lives and whatnot. Pimp me?

Before I forget, the other day in a comment - and of course I forgot whose LJ it was, sorry! - I mentioned a campaign we're seeing at the moment in France to encourage people to get tested before they start having sex without a condom. They have a couple of versions and I found the one I was talking about, ie the m/m one. Just scroll down a bit till you see the DailyMotion video.

The text goes like this, roughly because I don't necessarily remember all the nth :"The first look. The first kiss. The first time. The second time. The third. the fourth. The sixth. The tenth. The twentieth. The forty-sixth. The test." They're both negative and the voice over keeps on counting "the forty-seventh, the fiftieth..." It's the same text for the different ads, in case you were wondering, and I just love the way it's done. The way it's told.

Apart from that, RL hasn't been kind to a couple of my friends the past few days and it's always upsetting when your friends are hurting. Especially when you can't really do a thing. That's life, as they say, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

I know I cry easily in front of the tv but Cold Case is helping me break some kind of record, really. Feels like I'm in tears at the end of every single episode *wipes tears*

I'm still mourning the lack of Cold Case DVDs, btw, and will always do. It's also incredibly ironic that one of the things that makes this show so good, meaning the soundtrack, happens to be the same thing that prevents it from being released on DVDs. Life, it's funny sometimes.

Anyway. I had such a quiet and lazy weekend! After going out every day of the week after work last week, I wanted some Me time and I certainly got my wish. Awesome :-) I did run some errands but it was quickly done. I also took the time to finally do all the cleaning and vacuuming Teh Flat desperately needed. Plus some laundry and ironing.

The excitement of my life, I can barely stand it sometimes, dude!

Know what? It always amuses me that Once Upon a Time, I started using 'dude' in reference to Hurley in Lost - I thought it was an amusing and cute word and I just started using it. At the time it was 100% associated with Hurley. Now it's all about Dean and Dean only. Funny thing.

And speaking of SPN; La Trilogie du Samedi now? Numb3rs followed with Supernatural. You'd think I bribed the network or something :-) Summer hiatus might be on in the States but between N3, SPN, Lost and Cold Case every Saturday and Sunday, I do have some nice tv over here too. Sure, it's in French but I'm part of the minority that can watch dubbed shows without wanting to commit suicide. Most of the time, that is ;-)

I was just talking about the Yamakasi film with [livejournal.com profile] carodee - a film based on Parkour - and I mentioned the first scene because it was shot in Choisy-le-Roi and we Choisyens are quite proud of that little fact. That is, us who know the film. Whatever. And then I thought of the good ole flist. I can be nosy about where you guys live and in case you are too, you can catch some glimpses of Choisy in that first scene.

Also, if you like the whole Parkour thing, you might want to check it out. )

Unrelated, I know I said I was kinda over J.J Abrams, but I guess I'll make an exception for the new Star Trek film that will be released next year. I saw the trailer and it made me shiver a little. Nothing happens in that trailer per se... and yet it's so intense and just, I don't know, it hooked me. Some people definitely know how to make a good trailer, that's for sure! Now, obviously, maybe the actual film won't work, but at least that little glimpse was all kinds of awesome.

Star Trek will always hold a special place in my heart; you never forget your first, as they say, and ST:TOS was definitely the first series I fell in love with. I just love that I can say I was already a fan of the show in primary school...

And as I always say, it never fails to amuse me that my 'kinks' - I say 'kink' because I'm not talking about sexual kinks, just those themes that work for you, no matter what - already ran deep at the time; my favourite episodes were the ones where Kirk got hurt. And my favourite part of the show was the dynamics between Kirk, Spock and McCoy. Obviously I didn't have words for it at the time but my taste for good character dynamics and the edgier part of a storyline was firmly set, even back then. Go Mouse-That-Was!

Oh and I got paid today! MONEY! I treated myself with a threadless hoodie - first hoodie I've bought in oh, a million years? Yeah. Next hoodie I'd love is a MCR one...One day, dude!

And er, I was describing the hoodie as Asian-like when it's actually African-like lol It's still beautiful but now that I see it for what it is, I wonder how I actually saw... what I originally saw *blinkblink* Whatever, I love it to pieces and can't wait to wear it!

I just have the feeling that the only response I'll receive for that post is gonna be the sound of crickets chirping, but on the off chance that at least one person actually knows what I'm talking about, I have to ask.

So. Does any of you - and I actually think I should just write the following in French because I'm pretty sure it's a French thing and no-one else will have heard about it anyway - remember Cocoshaker?

I was a huge fan of that interlude/mini-series when I was a kid - and apparently I was one year old when it first aired so, yeah, not exactly the most recent show - and I remember the little!mouse that I was trying to catch it whenever I could on FR3 - which, dude, FR3! How old skool is that?

Out of nowhere I suddenly had a craving for that series. I don't even remember the last time I watched it! I didn't know the name of the show, either. But thanks to my google-fu I was able to find it - keywords I used were: 'dessin animé, palmier, noix de coco / animated series, palm tree, coconut' and lo! Here it was! I also had the idea of visiting YouTube and I found five episodes! Which are hidden behind the cut. It only lasts eight minutes overall and, if you're curious, you don't need to speak French to understand what happens since the little creature thingies speak gibberish.

A compilation of the first five episodes )

I thought it was the silliest and funniest thing when I was a little kid and I see now that the show is actually meta material as it 'symbolises human stupidity and the struggle for power'. I'm impressed.

I can't be the only one with an insane amount of love for Obscure Shows that go back to childhood, right?

And completely unrelated now, a request. Does anyone know of fics - slash or gen - related to episode 2x12 of Criminal Minds, namely "Profiler, Profiled"? Or does anyone know where I could ask for some? Thanks.

Oh dude! So I haven't actually been following Secrets Story after all but I caught an episode last night and I laughed my ass off. I know it's stupid and I shouldn't be laughing at people unable not to swear and thus losing 100€ each time they do but it was hilarious, I swear. And The Voice's, well, voice is a joy to listen to. So deep, so serious, I don't know how he doesn't show his amusement each time he goes stern on the contestants. Guess he's a professional and all but, seriously, I was in stitches. Poor Laly... losing 900€ in just a couple of hours because she can't help going 'putain' this and 'merde' that...

Er, anyway!

Omg I have the best news ever! Well, maybe not 'ever' but it still fills me with glee. Last night? Around 1.00 am I was bitten by a plot bunny for the 200th challenge over at SenThurs and I wrote, I repeat, I wrote a response for it!

After months of nothing I wrote a double-drabble, hee! Technically it shouldn't make me feel so happy because it is just a double-drabble but I put words together! And created something! So I am a happy camper :-)

And talking about happy; French fans of That 70s Show? Did you know that season 1 is being released in August? Well, I did. If you want more info go here. Also, the girl who wrote the little article is a friend of mine *is so proud*

And I meant to ask, didn't Eureka s2 start last night? If it didn't, when is it supposed to premiere? Hey, between Kyle XY, The 4400, Traveler, Eureka and soon Psych, my download schedule is nicely full these days :-)

Today was Pride in Paris and oh, I had a blast! I love that event so much! Love the energy, love how fun it is, just love it :-)

[livejournal.com profile] moimoietmoi and I joined [livejournal.com profile] angeliksmall, [livejournal.com profile] rosengirl, [livejournal.com profile] daiyaa and [livejournal.com profile] ephyse there. We found ourselves a float to follow, then proceeded to dance the afternoon away. I really loved our float - well, it wasn't a float as such, more like an impala a car followed with a bunch of cheerleaders dressed in black with silver pom-poms dancing and shaking said pom-poms.

The fun was that the crowd following them learnt the steps of the different choreographies and since the same songs played over and over again, after a while we were all dancing in synch. Well, I guess the lot of us with less grace and ease than the original cheerleaders but who cares, right? lol It was a lot of fun and I'm sure we made quite the sight, too; all following the cheerleaders' steps - or trying to for the 'more difficult' steps - only sans pom-poms and laughing our asses off ;-)

Oh! And I was thrilled because there were many 'Free Hugs' people and I hugged several of them and it was great! Ever since I saw the ad I've wanted to do that and now I can check that off the To Do list *g*

We abandoned the parade at St Michel, though, and didn't go to Bastille. But it does mean we danced for around three hours, I think. By then we were dead. Pride is so exhausthing, dude! So we left our cheerleaders and planted ourselves at a Starbucks. As we're wont to do :-)

Then we went our seperate ways and I went back to Choisy to meet with tbf!Rissy.

Twas an awesome day :-) Oh and if you want to see some pics, [livejournal.com profile] rosengirl posted some over at her lj.

I've also watched Heroes - the show premiered in France tonight - and I was relieved to see that the original French opening credits didn't last more than, what, ten seconds? Just the time to hear two lines from the lyrics - thank God for small favours - and pretty nice shots of the characters looking up at the sky. I still think it's stupid and pointless but, well, it could have been much worse, I guess.

I didn't watch it in French though. I keep forgetting that tnt!TF1 offers the original versions of some of their shows. So I've switched to the English version. Awesome!

Speaking of french!tv. Apparently Lost s3 starts next week. I'm thinking of trying to watch the show again. We'll see how long it lasts.

We just had a familial telly session, The Mum, The Teachers and me. On Wednesday, we're now all watching the same thing, namely the brand new French series on France2 David Nolande. I was a bit excited about the show because it's not often french!tv decides to be original. I mean, usually, it's either cop show or lawyer show and when it's not one or the other, it's both at the same time. But this time they decided to go fantasy/sci-fi/mystery. So the premise isn't original per se - a guy is cursed after killing someone and he's plagued by visions during his sleep - but I like the little twist, the curse says that if he fails to save the life of those in danger, his family will pay the price. So he has to save those people if he doesn't want his daughter or his wife or his brother, well, you get the picture, to die.

And the fact that Frédéric Diefenthal plays David isn't a bad thing, either, I quite like that actor *g* I enjoy his character a lot, as well as the secondary ones, my favourite being Sauveur. Just love the guy.

Anyway, it's not often that I get to enjoy a French show - Kaamelott being the first exception - so it's a good feeling :-)

Changing the subject, I wrote a fic today! Well, two, to be precise. I'll only share one for now though - that is, once it's betaed. I've gone back to my TS Night series and ohhh it felt a bit like coming home! There's just something really special about writing a new fic in a) a series you created and b) a 'verse you made up. And I have such a thing for my night!Jim and night!Blair *happy sigh* Why, yes, I'm usually my #1 fan, why do you ask? As I always say, if I don't like what I write, then how can I expect others to? But anyway, one more fic - well, two - to add to my 2006 Fics list *beams*

PS: They're airing Dans les Alpes avec Annette again! Oh, Annette! Julien! Denis! Talk about a trip down memory lane *sigh* Also, I'm apparently getting into Galaxy Railways. I'm thinking of treating myself with the boxset. Or just adding it to my Xmas list *nods*

Last month I was sleeping with Babycakes and it was great, you know? But last night I slept with a fan and just - okay, Babycakes? Would it really make you sad if I, like, dumped you to marry my fan? Because seriously, it was heaven to have cool air caressing my skin all night long and I think I'm in love.

Or in other words, it's so fucking hot that we might not survive the summer. The end. What baffles me is that the heat we have now is still nothing like the Canicule yet and it's still a bit unbearable. How did we do back then when the temp' was up to 50+C? How? Right now, I'd love to have an authorisation to stay home all the time. Each time I'd have to go out, I'd wave my little card and go back to my fan and the cool air that only exists in its - albeit small - perimeter.

Yeah anyway. So. I watched two more episodes of Grey's Anatomy Monday night and I'm so getting into it! I'm back to feeling meh about Meredith though - her and Whatshisname... McDreamy guy? So I'm feeling meh about them both, which is kinda ironical, considering. I'm still madly in love with Izzie and George, though, and I really like Bailey, Burke and Cristina.

I'm also almost sorry to have been spoiled for the second season finale but at the same time, maybe it wasn't such a bad thing. Still, I was trying to find a GA icon - and, btw, how difficult is it to find an icon with just Izzie and George on it *sigh* - but there were too many spoilery icons over there so I had to give up. Speaking of s2, it seems like TF1 will air it right after season 1, which is just awesome. They've been doing that a lot the past month and it makes me very happy. Like Numb3rs for instance, we got s2 back to back with s1 \o/

And since I'm on the subject of Numb3rs, can I express two wishes for season 3? Hee season 3, man! Yeah anyway wish #1 please please cut Charlie's hair? Let the curls but cut his hair? It's too long now and I really wish they gave him a haircut that looked more like the one he had in s1 [/selfish] and wish #2 that Edgerton comes back again! And I know which episode should be his... 3x09. Oh and wish #3 I want a flashback with kid!Charlie and kid!Don *stamps foot*

Lastly, a little rec because it's been some time since I did one. [livejournal.com profile] iscaris's One for the Road - it's Don/Charlie with some Cooper/Don, it's 12.000 words and it's absolutely brilliant! Go on, try it, you might fall in love with it like I did myself :-)
castalie: If you know who made this icon, please tell me so that I can properly credit? Tia (Fact about Dean / hannibal_murder)
We didn't get to see X3 again last night. It's okay though, I'll wait. We'll try on Wednesday *fingers crossed* So instead La Globule and I watched Les Chevaliers du Ciel, a film he's been trying to make me watch for the last week. I'll admit it was a nice flick. Not a lot to do with the original series and not exactly my kind of films but still nice. Though I didn't understand Benoît Magimel's mustache. Seriously, it was more fitting for Les Brigades du Tigre than Les Chevaliers du Ciel. But whatever [/French reference]

Hey, I've read that Boston Legal is premiering next week on TF1! I'm so gonna check it out. Also, Boston Legal became - seriously you gotta love French tv sometimes - Boston Justice. I just don't get how it works. Why they'll decide to rename one series and not the other, and how they actually pick their new titles. Like CSI: New York? Is Les Experts: Manhattan. I'm not talking about the Les Experts part, I think it rings nicely and, anyway, CSI just doesn't mean anything here but why change New York to Manhattan? Why not just keep New York, what's the deal? I'd love to know the sekrit rules they have to follow. I mean, it has to be because of some particular requests from Some Powers That Be, right? It can't be some random dude randomly deciding to change the title. Right? *blink*

Changing the subject, some SPN recs:

Misc: Top Thirty Dean Winchester Facts by [livejournal.com profile] madam_rosmerta, which killed me ded with the funny. You know the Chuck Norris facts, don't you? It's the same thing, only with Dean *points icon*

Post "Devil's Trap" Fic recs: Until I Can See Again by [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster. Sequel to The Ice is Thin and Underneath my Lucid Skin. That series is incredible. It gave me goosebumps and it created a knot in my stomach while I was reading it and there's not that many fics that can make you feel that way. Then you have In Humanities Absence by [livejournal.com profile] kennedy_bowman, it's non-con. I'm not saying which pairing it is, since it'd constitute a spoiler for those who hasn't seen the episode yet, but if you've seen it, you might have guessed who it is. In any case, just check it out and see for yourself.

And I already recc'ed On the Wall by [livejournal.com profile] la_folle_allure, the hotter than hot Jeffrey/Jensen/Jared fic, so I don't need to do it again, right? Right.

Something funny happened today. I was on a mission for my sister; mission of the uppermost importance which consisted in me standing at a street corner and standing guard in front of a letter box in order to intercept the postman before the last collection of the day - long story, don't ask, thx. Anyway, I was waiting and waiting when a group of little kids marched on the other side of the street and the teacher with them? Was my own teacher when I was four in kindergarten. Which, you know, okay cool but what the big deal? Except that five minutes later a guy stopped his car at the red light and it was a guy I knew from middle school - he recognised me too since he waved at me. I thought it was all quite amusing - and I mean, I haven't seen either of those people in like a decade? And then another man crossed the street and that was one of my teachers when I was in middle school too! Dude, that street corner must have been some kind of portal to the past or something!

Okay, anyway.

I didn't comment on Prison Break, did I? I liked the episode but I just have one thing to say, ie one line. For real. ) Next episode should be interesting.

Then I watched Criminal Minds - oh Criminal Minds, why did you do this to me? You're not supposed to do stuff like that! Spoiler fors 1x22. )

Lastly. Okay see I never meant to watch Plus Belle la Vie. I don't do soaps. But tbf!Sandrine and Rissy are both into it and the show got me by osmosis or, you know, something. So this is gonna be a bit of a Plus Belle la Vie moment: nooo! Nicolas left for Strasbourg! Thomas is all alone in Marseille without his cutie of a boyfriend now *cries* Sure, they'll see each other on the weekends but I'll miss their couple: no more m/m cuddling on the couch, no more sweet touches - this isn't buddies!

Oh oh Numb3rs just started! Hee it's "Counterfeit Reality". Man, I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing PB!Sara in Numb3rs. Sara dated Don omg!

In the past weeks, I've found my love for The 4400 again, ie I've always loved the show but I could survive if I missed an ep. Recently though, Friday night was totally The 4400 Night. I was also able to revisit season one after treating myself with the box set - dude, 20€? I so couldn't resist! The finale tonight was a nice roller coaster and those very last minutes were quite awesome - spoilers for season 2 finale )

So bye-bye The 4400. I can't even feel sad because NUMB3RS PREMIERES NEXT WEEK OMG! Also heeee, they showed the very first promo and I got to hear their French voices! Sadly, I only caught the last seconds so I couldn't exactly make them out but still, I got to hear Numb3rs in French omg!

Something else I'm so excited about that I could BURST from it is my SPN download. I won't be able to watch it before tomorrow but I think I'll survive. Maybe. That is, hopefully! I didn't plan anything for Saturday so I think it'll be SupernaturalNumb3rsHustle Day *nods*

Oh and hey, I was in Saint Michel today and pfew, it was quite animated! I wasn't surprised to see it on the news afterwards. Manu and I made a detour to avoid the whole craziness of the place... the poor guy was sure we would be killed or something. Ah Manu, my little ray of sunshine!

EEEE! They've just shown the promo again *bounces* Okay so it might take some time to get used to their voices but I think I like them, it'll be all right. Ha! 'Les nombres ne mentent jamais'... I might even ask for some French Numb3rs icons now *loves*

I knew it! So The 4400 is coming to an end here and I had the feeling that Numb3rs would replace it but I needed the new tv guide to check whether I was right or not - the official M6 site sucks and is never up to date - and turns out I was right!

French Posse, take note: 14 Avril = NUMB3RS, YAY! They'll air three episodes on that Friday and er, I'm hoping it's a one time thing, ie three episodes the first time to hook people and then two episodes each week cause it's not gonna last long otherwise! And seriously, I really dislike it when they air thee eps at once - I've been waiting forever to see the French version, let me savour it!

So anyway, that's not the point *cough* The point is... Numb3rs arrives in two weeks in France wheee! *goes down on knees* Please please choose voices I'll like for my guys! Make everything right and - *gasp* OMG I just thought of something! What if they pull a Stargate on us and have Larry and Charlie say 'vous' to each other or something? *is worried now*

But hee Numb3rs! On my telly *is verklempt* I'm all hyper now *bounces* I'm also hyper cause tonight is Prison Break and I can't wait til tomorrow to download it *bounces some more*

Oh hey yesterday was a beautiful Sunday - it did feel like we were really in Spring and Paris was so very crowded! Rissy and I had a nice, warm and relaxing time. A funny time too, cause in the midst of the classy shops we saw - makes some contrast from the ones we have in Choisy, let me tell you - we found ourselves in front of a Sex Shop, which was a nice surprise. In the end, I had to explain what anal beads and cock rings were and that cracked me up :-)

Oh bis, and we saw Francis Lalanne! lol I'm not even joking; il est sorti d'une voiture juste devant nous. Ca m'a éclatée parce que franchement, j'aurais préféré voir quelqu'un d'autre! Et au cas où quelqu'un se poserait la question? Il avait sa guitare et ses cuissardes *est morte de rire*

Then last night I did a little Life on Mars marathon and how is it possible to love those characters more each time I do that? But yeah, my love for Sam, Gene and Annie knows no bounds. Speaking of which, BBC 4 will show a LoM Behind the Scenes thingie on Sunday and I'm hoping someone will record and upload it on-line afterwards *fingers crossed*

So they aired the Superbowl last night. I don't know if they do that every year and I just found out or if it was brand new, though I believe it's the latter, but that's what they did, air the final of the Superbowl. Me, I decided to watch. Why? Because I wanted to see the pretty girls dance and shake their - er, pom poms. And man, American football is funny! So, like, the guys strike a pose... then there's this other guy who starts to run for his life before he throws the ball and! That's the players' cue to throw each other against the opposite team and fall on the ground. Time elapsed between the guy started running and the others fell down? Around twelve seconds. And then they do it all over again. It's a miracle they can actually win more than, say, three points? *hides from outraged American football fans*

Okay so I wasn't exactly in the game, I'll admit lol They would have aired baseball, I'd have been happy but American football? Is, yeah okay, fun. For a quarter or two maybe. And also, I could have - maybe - gotten into it if it weren't for the commercials. Dude! It's insane!

I still had a favourite team between the two though. I mean, if you try to watch a game, you have to root for someone, it's the rule or something. So I chose my team after a pretty thorough and really scientific research. Seattle? Is like Cascade, and if Jim and Blair were into the Superbowl - and from what I hear I swear it almost sounds like a prerequisite to being American, so maybe they are - well that's the team they maybe would have cheered on, therefore that was the team I chose. Also? Blue is my favourite colour. So there.

Anyway, that's not why I'm writing this entry for. I'm writing this entry to express my LOVE for the latest episode of Numb3rs. Okay me? I love Numb3rs. No, seriously, I do. I don't advertise it so maybe you hadn't noticed but there you go. On a scale from one to ten, the love I have for this show on a good day is, say, eleven? Yes. But "The Running Man"? Oh "The Running Man" amounts a nineteen! This is why I love that show! This is Numb3rs for me.

Numb3rs 2x15 - The Running Man )

Ha! Actually my love for that episode? Would be something like Love4242. Next - new - episode airs on March, 3rd? Well, okay, then.

PS: I've given Charlie to my dad for the day because he had two appointments and no laptop to use to show his videos - don't know what happened to said laptop, btw - and of course I wasn't going to go "NO CHARLIE IS MINE AND I WON'T LEND HIM TO ANYONE omg" but man... I'm worried! My baby is out there and I'm not with him! I hope nothing bad will happen to him *chews lower lip*

"Route 666" has been watched. Awww, how much do I LOVE my show? This much, yes! How did you guess?

Supernatural 1x13 - Route 666 )

Yes, I have lots of love for that episode *happy sigh*

Unrelated #1: If the line "I wish I knew how to quit you" means anything to you, you might be interested in [livejournal.com profile] drinteot's little challenge.

Unrelated #2: tbf!Rissy follows Plus Belle la Vie - a French soap - and she's been telling me about it a lot in the past week and because she knows her audience - that would be me - she mentioned some specifics. So know what? It appears there are not one but two same sex couples in that show. Or, say, not two but four gay characters. So two of them are a couple, namely Nicolas and Thomas - with on-screen kissing, which is also pretty nice if you ask me - and the other two are not - yet? - namely Christelle and Anais. And isn't that sweet? They don't just have one gay couple but four gay characters, including lesbians. That's pretty cool, imho. It defies tv statistics lol
