I'm the only gay in the village.

Am back from the French Posse Day. Which was awesome, as per usual *misses FP already*

We had our brunch at Starbucks - Starbucks wheee - followed with Brokeback Mountain which was even more beautiful than I thought. My god, what a beautiful movie! So incredibly painful and gorgeous. So damn powerful and so bloody sad! I really think I need to assimilate what I've seen. Both Ennis and Jack broke my heart - both in different ways and for different reasons. And the actors blew me away - the actresses were awesome too, btw. I did cry like I knew I would - and seriously you should have seen the five of us... all bawling lol We were quite the sight. But just - that's the kind of film that punches you in the face in a way... and it makes you feel, you know? Well, it certainly did for me, at any rate. I loved it - would love to see it again. And again and again.

After the film, SAM and Catia left and Rosie, GD and I went to GD's to spend the remaining of the afternoon.

We had a blast! GD was a girl on a mission: first she showed us several episodes of Little Britain, which dude! Cracked me up so fucking much! It's brilliant, there are no other words for it. I need to see whether I can find the torrents because I want to laugh my ass off whenever I want with that series. Then she decided to show us the beauty of Veronica Mars, which believe me wasn't an easy feat because I'd watched the pilot once and thought it was booooooring and just not my kind of thing. Except GD is a good pimp and she showed us the right episodes and then I might have expressed a certain interest in Logan and she picked just the right scene to push me over the edge, namely some crucial scenes in 1x06 - and omg okay it was AWESOME and in the end I had to admit that yeah, I kinda fell for woobie!Logan and for pretty and kick ass Veronica. So in a moment of weakness I might also have asked her to burn the episodes for me *cough* So I'm weak and a tv junkie so sue me! But... I mean.. LOGAN! That is all. [ETA: Holy Fucking Shit! How stupid can I be? I just remembered that I already have most of VM on CDs! Catia burnt them for me ages ago! MAN! *dies*] [ETA2: Okay so I have all season 1. GD? I'll only need the first part of s2 after all *cough*]

Then around 9.30 pm we left for the Marais to find the 3W - ladies bar - which we did. We didn't even get lost or anything. We thought we'd won, except we didn't because the bar was packed. But! We did enter. So we didn't completely lose at gay bar. Right? So okay, we thought, what the hell, we'll find another bar. Which we did too. That's when we went from wild orgy lady bar to cozy hot chocolate bar. You want to make something out of it?! And then it was 10.30 pm and I went home. Yeah because I forgot to say we'd established we wouldn't go the gay club that night after all.

So, like, I have my cursed episodes... and now I have my cursed gay club ;-)

PS: Junk Food eaten today: two donuts, one sandwich, several Oreos. I love me some French Posse Day lol

Little Britain is a weird show for me. Most of it I hate, but there are parts that just... yeah. The Prime Minister and his stalker is my favourite. *g*

Little Britain, j'adore!
Yeah, but no, but yeah, but no... Vicky Pollard m'eclate.
Juste apres, mes preferes sont 'the only gay in the village' et le con en fauteuil roulant. c'est vraiment de l'humour bete et mechant, d'habitude c'est pas mon truc. Mais j'y peux rien, ils me font ricaner.

I so totally agree with everything you said about BBM. It's one of the most beautiful and painful movies ever.

Heh, you like Veronica Mars, yay! But, then again, who could resist the power of woobie!Logan? No one, that's who. And Veronica rocks.

And you went to a gay bar. Now who's the wild one. ;)

You're so right about the movie. It really is incredibly powerful and the performances blew me away. Both the main guys and the women who were brilliantly acted.

I'm trying not to laugh at you too much about Veronica Mars, I mean, how many times can you laugh at someone for doing a total about face about tv show after tv show? You're such an addict, it's true *g* But really, it's an addiction I can totally get behind.

I'm with littledrop about Little Britain. Some sketches I like, some leave me cold.
