First, I love the story about you and your sister going back to your grandfather's house and what you did and found there. These are going to be good memories, and you can never have too many of those.

Second, LONDON!!! Lucky, lucky you!!! But I'm not jealous (no really, msdaccxx has promised to tell me all about the T.E. Lawrence exhibit when she goes to see it, and that will be just have to be enough). But seriously, London in time to do your Christmas shopping. How wonderful. And you deserve a treat. :-)
