TS related entry (+ we win at Gay Night!)

Sometimes you think you've read it all - though seriously, I don't understand why we feel that way sometimes. Well, not in a fandom like TS in any case, it's not as if there were only twenty fics fighting for our attention over there, right? - and you realise how wrong you are when you stumble upon a fic that has to have been written million years ago? Or say seven years ago. But whatever. I've just read Nothing On for the first time and awww but that fic was perfect! It was bantery, sweet, fun, sexy and hot. It even had a tiny wee dose of angst, solved pretty quickly and just - yes, 100% Jim/Blair, right? :-)

Speaking of reading TS, I've read The Lamp and that fic is a little gem. Too cute for words and so much fun - pretty smart as well, actually. I just love those out-there-plot-bunnies that fucking work. Makes me want to re-read Bewitched, Bedazzled and Bewildered as a matter of fact. Oh and buy the Bedazzled DVD come to think of it.

Now flist, want to know what the French Posse and I had planned for last night? We had another go at our Gay Night. Did GD, SAM and The Mouse finally make it to their lesbian club of choice? Did they even go as far as leave GD's place? Did they have hot and dirty sex right there on the dance floor?

Yes, they did! Er, go the Pulp, that is lol

SAM and I went to GD's place around 9.00 pm where we ate junk food that tastes so good because it's bad for us while watching the last part of the Olympic Games Ceremony - I'm an OG geek, I can't help it, and they indulged me, which was sooo nice! Then we surfed the net and had a blast over at YouTube which is a fantastic site with some wickedly funny vids. There should be some linkage in the near future as a matter of fact *nods*

Then a friend of GD's - whom I'd already met - joined us and when it was past midnight, we realised we should maybe just move our collective asses because we were going to miss the last trains and it would be hell and we would risk not going to our gay club and then we would lose at Gay Night again and no, just no!

So we left the place in a hurry and against all odds - okay, slight exaggeration here but it makes the story more interesting somehow - we arrived at the club! And we, like, entered!

How exciting, uh? Yes, I know *rolls eyes*

It was great. The crowd was actually pretty mixed at it wasn't a Girls Night as such, so there were lots of gay boys as well as some straight couples. We danced and danced and danced some more - though the music wasn't exactly to my our taste. We took some break and sprawled on the couches every now and then, drinking as well because pfew it was hot in there! SAM left us around 3.00 am - the poor girl is knackered these days - and I thought we wouldn't be long leaving too at one point - you know when you're suddenly tired but you just need to keep going and it'll pass - but we stayed and in the end? We actually left the club at 5.30 am. Not bad at all. It was definitely less crowded past 4.00 am actually - we had room and everything, yay!

I definitely think we need to do that again. Often. Well, on a regular basis, at least, cause 'often' might be too tiring after awhile lol But it's just fantastic being in a place where you see girl kissing girls and boys kissing boys without the slightest worry that someone will say something or just look at you funny, you know? And they were quite a lot of couples, so it was just great.

Also, I thought of my flist as there was this couple - boyonboy - who was making out like crazy. They started on the dance floor then retreated to a not-so-dark corner and went at it. Isn't that sweet? It is.

Oh and something funny now - at least it made us laugh. When you go to the restroom? On each stall door there's this sign that say "It's strictly forbidden to have two people in a stall at the same time". Seriously! I didn't remember seeing that kind of stuff when I went to the Métropolis and, technically, it should be annoying that it was there but hey, if they felt the need to point it out, they had to have their reasons, right? Dude. Dirty sex in public restroom - such a cliché!

So anyway we had a really good time and I'm a tad tired now cause I was home at 7.00 am and I had to get up earlier than I would have wanted since I'm going to the movies with tbf!Rissy today but it was worth it because a) French Posse! and b) Gay Night with the French Posse!

And okay so you might think this has nothing to do with Jim and Blair? But look - just picture Blair dragging Jim to a nightclub. Maybe Jim lost a bet, maybe they performed a hot and lazy sixty-nine and the first one to come had to accept to spend a night in the location of the winner's choice? And Blair did that thing with his tongue and Jim lost it. So Blair picked that gay club he's been wanting to go with Jim for ever; and here in the dark, Jim finally accepts that a dancing and sweaty Blair might be good enough to enjoy himself and he'll touch his sexy babe and they'll have hot and dirty sex right here on the dance floor.

Except before that, he'd have to dial down his hearing, like, all the way down - down to normal level that is, or lower even - because the VOLUME IS CRAZY! Oh and the vibrations created by said volume? Would either drive him crazy in a bad way or drive him crazy in a good way...

So, see? Totally a Jim/Blair post all the way!

I cannot believe you've never read Nothing On before. *boggles like whoa!* That might even be grounds for having your TS fan license revoked. Just kidding.

I must have run across Francesca within my first three days of discovering Sentinel fantic and immediately read everything of hers on 852. *nostalgic sigh for honeymoon*

Isn't it just an incredibly fun read?

Wow, you've already posted about last night! lol

I feel so tired, I think i'm gonna need the rest of the weekend to recover! But it was worth it! We should do it again on a Saturady night, when it's girls only.

I've watched the vids we couldn't see yesterday and they're really great. I've also found an interview of Wentworth and 'John Doe'.

I'm so glad (and a little jealous) that you had fun! I wish I had friends I could drag to the gay club but here? It's either I go alone or I don't go. *pouts* Maybe I should plan a little weekend in Paris. *giggles*

Also, I just got up (I ended up sleepily rewatching old Supernatural eps practically all night even though I was knackered. *rolls eyes at self*) and am about to do your beta. :-D Should be with you very very soon.

Let me get over my laughing reaction to seeing Lamp in your post and I'll be able to comment. I'm five, I know this *g*

I'm with Caro. A TS fic you hadn't read, and especially by an old skool writer. Wow. It's funny how stories sometimes fall between the cracks like that.

But you managed to get to the club at last and you had a great time. I'm so glad!!

Glad you had fun. I've had fun reading your recs. But who wrote The Lamp? I'd like to look up more from that author, but can't find a name or a link.

can you believe I didn't even *know* the olympic games were starting? I spent the weekend wondering what the weird thing I've seen on Sunday morning was.

Then again, it's a bit too summery for me to think that the Winter Olympic Games just started lol (which is probably why New Zealand will never get the summer olympics lol)
