Pendant ce temps, sur la passerelle
Well well, first the pope, now le Prince Rainier, the French media must be jubilant.
Yeah, anyway.
Hey! Did I tell you that I succumbed to BitTorrent? Well I did tell some people on the flist but that's it. So eek! I succumbed to BitTorrent and I'm now in the Torrents club, yay! I christened the thing with a Cold Case download. I miss that show so much - I couldn't resist. Lily was as beautiful and classy as ever, I'm completely smitten with that woman. I prefer her French voice to her real one, though, but it's okay, it's just a minor complaint *g* Also, I apparently chose a good episode since it was full of Scotty's angst. Anyway, I was ecstatic *g* Even more ecstatic actually that the download started at, like, 1 day remaining and ended up lasting only three hours - wow, that was beautiful to watch. I mean, if I stared at the transfer history all the time, which huh, I never do *cough*
The evening was a greatCD telly night since I also finally sat down to watch the pilot of Desperate Housewives and OMG! Totally got hooked too. Dark humour at its finest and so corrosive it's a wonder you don't get burnt while watching. It's so smart, you know? The kind of brilliant show that just stands out. I love it. My favourite character now... well, that's a tough one. So far, #1 is Susan but she's closely followed with Bree because... because it's Bree and she's something, all right. Then again, I'm really intrigued by Mary Alice... also, on a very shallow note, even if I weren't interested in the storyline, I would still watch that show because OMG the pretty! Those women are all so very gorgeous, all in a different way. The candy eyes, it hurts! But in a good way *purrs* Then I had the surprise of seeing Mr Lyle. Eeek Mr Lyle is in DH too. I'd totally forgot about that. Nice surprise. And I was all ohh he's a nice and sweet guy this time and then he came home after the fire and had this conversation on the phone and ohhh he had a gun, too, and I realised that well okay, there was more to him than met the eye *is curious about him* Should be interesting.
I've heard that Canal+ will air Desperate Housewives in September. You can always trust C+ to get the best series. It's really a shame they didn't land the rights to Lost because I don't trust TF1 *sigh* Oh well, we'll see...
I also finally succeeded in watching Numb3rs 1x08.
enigel? I'm not sure I'll be able to do more than some squeeing either:
Charlie! Don! Don-Charlie! Eppes Family! Poker scene! Larry! Schrödinger's cat!
But I can try, so:
#1- Those domestic scenes at the Eppes household will be the death of me. They're the best thing ever, I swear. Each time I see the characters gathered together in that house, be it the Eppes family or the Eppes Buddies, it makes me all tingly inside.
#2- They play with us, don't they? I mean, at first I thought okay it seems a tad too easy so I decided that Mark Andric was actually the murderer. Not even really out of deduction, but just like that, in passing and because I needed someone else - I needed a name and I picked that one. Then the episode runs and you're hit over the head with the idea that people are unconsciously influenced by the way questions are asked or by the way things are presented to you and I don't know how many times they used the word 'assumption' but it was all over the place and that's when I knew it had to be Mark. Because if we got to suspect WhatsHisName it was because of the very first witness we saw and he sorta gave the tone and that first witness was Mark... so we were all being influenced by his being pictured as just a witness willing to help the police and pointing out to a suspect... he had to be the determining factor. Come to think of it, they weren't subtle at all.
#3- Fingerprint Technician Girl had the patience of a saint. So the woman has been a fingerprint expert for, what, eight years and we're supposed to think she wouldn't have been able to think of Charlie's little trick in the first place. I mean... I love Charlie being so uber smart that he thinks ahead of everyone else and thinks so far out of the box that he wouldn't even recognise said box if it fell on his head, but I had a problem with that scene somehow *shrug* I mean, I get it, it was another demonstration of how we need to look at something from a different angle since the object itself might have been displayed under a different view, and that was the whole point of our story, but still... you really can't blame the woman for being suspicious and unreceptive.
#3b- I did like how Don and Terry walked back in the room though, when they realised Charlie was still thinking the problem through and was apparently going to question everything, ie with some luck maybe give them a new approach. I really love how they trust Charlie implicitly *g*
#4- Really felt bad for Don during the whole thing and enjoyed the last scene immensely. Felt all relieved on his behalf *happy sigh*
Btw, do we know the age difference between the brothers?
On a different note, I got so used to get my new Lost on Thursday morning that I feel all, well, lost without it right now. And of course, the torrent file is dead. I don't mind the wait though, it'll make watching it so much better.
Yeah, anyway.

even when Linus is back I won't be able to DL anything because we have limited internet access - not in time, but in quantity (1G per month)... Plus, my flatmate frowns on DLing stuff off the internet (and there's a whole campaign right now in NZ about denounciation and all). So yeah! adieux Lost, Numbers, Naruto... :(

I'm living in a foreign country and they *can* kick me out. So yeah, maybe I'm a little paranoid after the USA... Of course I don't like it! having to stop downloading? hell... I'll DL stuff from work (which I did for Survivaure for instance).
You'd do that? burn the CDs I mean? You're so sweet! As for the frowning... what she doesn't know won't hurt lol And all my stuff is safely hidden in my bedroom - the first episodes of Numb3rs, some Naruto, many Scrubs episodes... I'm not giving *that* away! *clings tightly*
Oh, and I can DL songs and stuff from work, so that's good *g*

Lostanything again? It was because of the dead bandwith. Talk about tragedy. And are you kidding? Of course, I would! If there's someone I would do it for, it'd be you *kisses*
no subject
*beams* thanks honey! It's very sweet of you - I take it Clark is able to burn some CDs again? wonderful... *bright shiny hopeful eyes*
you do realise that I've met someone who's stricter than I am? *shakes head in disbelief* okay, I'm not that strict, I'm just slow on the uptake, but still!

Also Clark certainly is able to burn CDs again. He's been burning CDs for people on my flist non-stop in the past two weeks. It's only fair you finally benefit from it too *g* I'll burn several things for you then. I already have a CD ready. I'll send everything on Monday, hopefully.
It definitely floored me. I mean, yeah, that was hard to take *snicker* Though like you said, you usually change your mind so it's different, I just have to be patient and wait until you see the light *eg*

hey, I don't change my mind about *everything*!... do I? *ponders*
no subject
No? I mean, no? Dammit. I mean *concentrates* No.
But you do it about a lot of things.no subject

Thing is, you shouldn't always put your foot down so hard on anything all the time, cause if you didn't,
Iwe wouldn't even notice when you do change your mind. Then again, it wouldn't be half fun for me, of course, because I wouldn't be able to start my little countdown in my head each time you decide to be strict on something *eg*no subject
oh come on, we both know you love it when I put my foot down then change my mind - it would break the dynamic of our relationship if I didn't do that! It would be like Daniel not touching something he's not supposed to touch! Impossible *giggles*

but I'm not so not worried here anywayAnd btw? Best.reference.ever *bows*no subject
