Hey, not fair. There was no Adam nor Ian in The Archers today-- *voice trails off*

*blink* Uh, I mean, I didn't listen to The Archers again today- of course not. Nah uh. Not me. I was referring to, uh- I was talking about... dammit! Okay so I listened to the show again today after all. And maybe did I catch up with the last episode I missed as well *sigh*

What can I say? Adam and Ian just sound so bloody cute! You could say I really fancy them *g* Also, now, they'd better give me the nice m/m relationship I'm expecting, cos that would be really unfair too!

Oh and the Irish accent is funny *g* Love it each time Ian says something with 'my' in the sentence- 'Me brothers don't want the farm' 'Me mom died when I was a child' 'I'm moving out me flat'- just cute *shrug*

But uh- okay, let's go back to our regular program, shall we? lol Tonight is going to be a Daniel's Night. I'm going to read SG all night *nods* There're two long fics in particular with lots of Daniel!angst that seem brilliant- and IMHO, you can't go wrong with that kind of theme *eg*

PS: Methos is back in my userpics *pets the ROG*

ETA: OMG, can't believe I didn't even mention it! Hail to RoTK and its eleven oscars! We always had trust in you, baby! Not that much in the Awards Academy mind you- but boy didn't they let us down this time *beaming*

LJ is going to kill me tonight- if I don't kill it first, of course *growls*

Let's try *again* to pose this damm comments.

Did you ever read CM Decarnin's 'And Hades Followed After Him' series and its sequels 'The Deep' and 'Seed'? Because if you didn't... you *have* to read them!

In case you never read them, go here (http://hos.slashcity.com/dslash.htm), and scroll down the bottom of the page. You'll find the three stories. 'Hades' is fairly long- but so worth it. It's just my favorite series. And the sequels are just so good as well- IMO.

Wait- I'm going to paste what I sai in one of my last post- it's too early to be original lol

The Archers is a radio soap opera- well to be more exact it's the British radio's longest running soap opera.

Remember that Peter Wingfield played in a radio drama show? Well he played in *that* one lol I just thought the coincidence was pretty funny.

It's a countryside drama show- and it's been running for something like several decades apparently.

It's airing each day around 7.00 p.m, and on Sundays you have an Omnibus when they do all the episodes in a row. I've been curious when a girl on my flist mentioned a potential m/m coupling beinf formed *g* See, Adam came out some time ago, and there's this Ian --an Irishman-- who just arrived in Ambridge --where the story is held apparently-- and the two are really getting on well. They just sound so cute each time they're together. Lillian --Adam's aunt-- wants to play yenta- but believe me when I say she's not the only one! lol

Sorry for rambling, but I have to sorta restrain myself on LJ, I mean, The Archers is a soap, ya know? lol But I love it so far- plus, it's worth it just to hear their accents *g*

Don't ever apologise for loving the Archers - it's by far the best soap in the UK (apart from possibly one in Ireland that I get hooked on every time I go there and I can't remember the name of to save my life) and probably most of the world... huh. Sounding like a fan much?

I am completely, hopelessly, madly, forever in love with the Archers. And I can't believe that it's been on for my whole life and my parents listened to it all through my childhood and I've only been listening to it for four years!! Honestly, it breaks my heart. And my husband's listened to it semi-religiously for about fifteen years and he still knows less than me about the characters.

And every time we go to my parents' for dinner it turns into a discussion of what David should have done, or Shula should do, or how stupid Alistair is, or how annoying Usha (sp?) is...

And Adam is lurvely (and I'm not just saying that because the actor's from my home town) and he so deserves to have a nice man like Ian (not to mention a good shagging). Plus it'll get up the noses of some of the local snobs and bigots, which is a) good drama, b) (sadly) realistic and c) means we'll get at least a couple of weeks of mostly Adam-and-Ian-centric stories, which is my idea of Archers heaven.

Finished now.

Go to the BBC Radio 4 (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/archers/) site. You can find details on the characters, synopses *and* you can listen to the latest episodes, and the omnibus as well, of course- that's what I'm doing now *g*

It's pretty impressive how long the shows has been running, all right.

And Adam *does* sound lovely. Ian too of course. I love the scenes between them- they're just too cute for words.

Hail to Ian-and-Adam centric stories *g*
