A la prochaine, Numb3rs *kisses*

It's done; the last of my beloved show - bar one - has gone on hiatus. It's a difficult fangirl time that begins, let me tell you *wipes eyes*

Those previews really mess up with our heads, don't they? Also, I want to apologise to Daddy because when I realised the shooting had, in fact, been a dream, I was disappointed for a moment. I was like, where has the angst gone! But I quickly forgot about it because omg MARGARET! We got to see Margaret! I can't even believe it happened, mommy!Eppes was there in the - well okay not in the flesh, but you know what I mean. She looked gorgeous. And so loving and strong and I loved her - the actress as well, btw.

I suppose the it-was-a-dream and/or deceased-appears-in-dream themes are a bit of a cliche and all that but the real question would be, do I look like I care? As long as it's well done, I don't mind whether a theme has been used a million times or just once. And I loved the dream sequence.

Also, since I happen to believe that dreams can be used as a way to talk with people we lost or to receive messages from them, I didn't have a thing to say against that storyline.

I've loved the Alan/Margaret couple since the beginning of the show and seeing them like that; it filled me with glee. Their conversation was beautiful. And when Margaret told Alan that all she wanted was for the three of them to be happy and he told her that for that, she shouldn't have died - man, it broke my heart in a million little pieces *sniffles*

The Margaret and Charlie scenes were beautiful too - my favourite has to be the last one, because it wasn't even about Charlie himself but about Margaret and Alan first and then about Don. Charlie thinking of what raising him might have cost both his parents and his brother in such an open way... it really touched me.

What killed me though was the last scene. And I know, I'm always in love with the tag scenes but there're always some endings that are just perfect and wow, this one? Totally fit the bill. It was such a gorgeous scene - and so incredibly tender it made me melt a thousand times. It was in the way Charlie leant into Don and stroked his shoulders, the way Charlie wanted Don to know that he wasn't alone, no matter what... I loved that Don didn't really understand what was with Charlie but went with the flow. It was, I don't know, quietly intense? And then oh man, Don's look when he leans back on his chair and he looks at Alan and his brother. There's no words for how much I loved that scene. One of the best scenes ever!

You know, I adore the Eppes family and it's not as if I could ever forget I do, but sometimes, they'll do something, say something that just makes me fall in love with them all over again and when it happens it makes me fell all tingly inside and this is what happened in that episode.

Onto the Random Stuff:

  • I thought Charlie looked particularly sweet and cute in that episode.

  • Even though Alan being shot was one of Charlie's dreams, the whole scene was of the good; Charlie broke my heart and Alan as well, when he's calling for Margaret.

  • Speaking of that first dream, how much do I loved that Charlie ran to Don to tell him about it? A lot. Yeah. And I also loved how Don started by redirecting the discussion to the case before coming back to Charlie's concern and how he didn't laugh at Charlie. Loved that scene and loved Charlie's "I don't even dream normal".

  • Larry cracked me up as usual.

  • When I saw Amita enter the office I actually did a little double take cause I was sure she was already on her way to Harvard, for which I apologise as well. Sorry, Amita! And I don't know why I believed this as it's not as if they solved anything in the last episode.

  • LOVE MEGAN! Nothing new here but I won't ever get tired of that woman, so there. Though for the record, I do miss Terry a lot - thing is, with s1 airing on French tv every Friday, I'm reminded of how much I adored Terry and I sure would love to have them both together on the team

  • Love the interaction of the team - the ass kicking was a sweet move lol

  • Also I want to say that Colby was like the revelation of the season: I started disliking him and calling him New Guy and ended up really liking him, so good job, mate!

  • As for David, I remember liking him from way back and he never ever disappointed me so the love is still strong her too

  • Oh Numb3rs, I miss you already!

Onto something different: when you see this, post a quote from Supernatural in your Livejournal. Pass it on.

Okay so when I saw this, I got all torn up inside because I didn't know what to pick. I was able to shorten the list to three quotes and then to two, including the following:

    Dean: I need you, Dad.

But since we we can only pick one quote, I'll go with the other, namely:

Dean: (to Sam) For you or Dad, the things I'm willing to do or kill, it scares me sometimes...

    There :-)

Oh, you have a hiatus icon! that's priceless!

Good luck with said hiatus, dear. Btw, I quite enjoyed the way you managed to post two quotes instead of one, you crafty you *g*

SAM did it for me :-)

Btw, I quite enjoyed the way you managed to post two quotes instead of one, you crafty you

Dean: (to Sam) For you or Dad, the things I'm willing to do or kill, it scares me sometimes...

Yep, that would be my favorite, too.

There are so many wonderful quotes in SPN, but somehow, the two I picked are some of my favourites because they tell us so much about Dean and the way he relates to his family *loves Dean*

    [identity profile] sparklinblossom.livejournal.com 2006-05-20 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Gah, that episode was so wonderful!
Mama Epps was just so sweet. Her interaction with Charlie and Alan just made my heart ache.
How Charlie always went to Don, first for help with the dream and then to let Don know he was always welcome.
I adore Megan! She and Colby are such a goofy team! Colby ruled this episode.

The ep left me with a happy feeling, you know? *loves that season finale*

Mama Eppes was great, she certainly didn't disappoin AT ALL *loves her too*

I loved it so MUCH! I like the whole dream thing -- I mean, why not? I don't think they're going to start some spirit!Margaret thing now -- I think it was just something special to do for the finale. *g* I agree with everything you said (surprise!). The only thing I would have added to the episode is getting to see the team bursting in to save Don, but we knew that was coming and if they had to save time to have the last two scenes, well okay! love, love, love!!

And wow. Summer, and no new shows... it's grim. You just need to write lots and lots of fic! *g*

    [identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 08:34 am (UTC)(link)
The dream thing was awfully sweet and a little sad and just beautiful *nods*

Yeah, the rescuing would have been nice, but it was a sacrifice that needed to be made so that we could get the last two scenes which were so incredibly GOOD *is still in love*

Lol I'll talk with my muse, see what they have to say about that ;-)

Love the icon! I also love how you sneaked two quotes in there, you're a crafty one for sure *g*

Thanks [livejournal.com profile] moimoietmoi did the icon for me, I thought it was so very fitting ;-)

And I just couldn't resist lol One quote wasn't nearly enough, no sirree...

You know, I expected angst in this episode, which I didn't really get. What I did get was a plethora of hearth melting moments and I think I like that even more. I'm not sure I could take any more angsty finals, to tell you the truth.

But yeah, this was possibly the most hearth melting episode ever. I loved Margaret and her interaction with both Charlie and Alan was amazing. She was everything I've always imagined her to be.

And then oh man, Don's look when he leans back on his chair and he looks at Alan and his brother.

I know, man, I know. It was like...yeah, I can't even describe it, it was just unbelievable love inducing.

the ass kicking was a sweet move

That was such a perfect little moment. It's little moments like this that make me love the show even more.

Oh Numb3rs, I miss you already!

I still can't believe it's really over. What am I going to do? Except watch 4 seasons of Smallville.

Dean: (to Sam) For you or Dad, the things I'm willing to do or kill, it scares me sometimes...

    Best. Dean. Quote. Ever!

Also, I love your icon. So true. *g*

I think it was a more suble type of angst that led to incredibly heart melting moments; pure Numb3rs, I'd say. How much do we love our show? Oh yeah, a whooole lot lol

Margaret truly was everything we've always imagined her to be, wasn't she? I'm so happy we got to see her, even better yet, we got to see her interacting with our guys... wonderful little moments *happy sigh*

There are so many good SPN quotes but dude, those two ones - they're just TOO GOOD!

Thanks, the icon was made by [livejournal.com profile] moimoietmoi, she rocks :-)

Ah, the glory of spoilers, lol!

I adored the ep. It raised a lot of questions in my head, but I adored it nonetheless. Colby was amazing, loved his interaction with Megan and the little butt kick. Loved Charlie going to Don about his dream, and applying math to it. At first I was confused about Charlie's question to his mother, because I expected him to ask her if she forgave him for hiding in the garage when she was dying, and I never saw this one coming, that he was worried about how raising him had taken her away from Alan and Don. *pets the boys* And I adored the hug Charlie was dying to give Don, even though he settled for a less than manly slide of the arm over his shoulders. *g* And Charlie telling him that was his home, and Alan and Charlie offering to help Don with his shooting report even though, hello! DON'S shooting report, lol, I loved that they wanted to help SOMEHOW, and yes, Don leaning back in his chair, watching them. And the music they chose for the ep was great! So, whew, overall, loved it muchly.

Totally, I thought this was where they were leading us, so imagine my surprise when his question turned out to be different *loves*

And the music they chose for the ep was great!

At first I thought they'd used Margaret's piano theme, you know? Then I thought maybe it was just an Eppes family 'theme' - in any case, it was a great music choice, I agree.

And I second everything else you said - I know, shocking. Not lol
