There are several birthdays I really don't want to miss this month and this one is definitely one of them, so :

On some unrelated news now. Do you remember fanfic_hate? Yes, it's still alive. No, I don't cruise that site usually - technically, I don't exactly have anything against it, but I don't see the point in pointing out authors you don't like just for the sake of it, anonymously and sometimes quite viciously at that. I don't see anything constructive about it. But I'm one of those who believe in the live and let live concept, so I don't feel anything against those who actually play the game, well those who use their user names at least *g*

Besides, the truth is I have few principles anyway, and you can't blame a fangirl for being curious when two of her favourite fandoms, namely TS and SG are put on the spot, right? So yes, I had to check it out this time. I mean, curiosity killed the mouse cat but didn't it bring back or something?

Anyway, I was curious like I said, so I ventured over there... and franckly, I had quite a laugh *g*

SG first - there are apparently 40 comments only, and only one of them is anon. Gaters have guts, don't they? Well, they would with all the wanks going on in our fandom lately. And nostalgia_lj? I have to congratulate you for being the very first to start the thread. Why wasn't I surprised either? lol

Then TS - there are like 77 comments I think and even if most of them are anon, it seems at one point the whole thing took an unexpected turn too when some threads started discussing smarm vs slash and stuff like.
