100% disjointed
Jun. 6th, 2005 11:01 amHow much do I love my new layout, let me count the ways. So! Thanks to the help of the wonderful
hearsawho I finally defeated the Layer Thing, yay! It scared me the first time I tried to work with it - and the second time as well, but with her help I finally mastered the thing and lo! I have neat little icons on my sidebar now *loves* I may add another box with other icons in the near future, this is so nifty *g* I love me some fancy layout *loves again*
You know, I don't think I'll ever stop mourning the loss of btefnet. Each time I think of downloading a new episode for whatever series I fancy, I'm reminded of how much it sucks that Mega Pricks Association Anonymous killed it *sniffles* And for instance I'm waaaay behind in Doctor Who watching - though thanks to
enigel I'm slowly remedying that - and I'm also behind in my QAF watching and this really sucks beyond the telling of it.
Speaking of being behind. I still haven't started reading the
sentinelsecrets stories, though I will by the end of the week. Foi de Mousey. It's just weird though how this time around it seems to be almost silent.
Oh and something I need to do as well is finally catch up with Lost, because, seriously!
aswanargent, remember when I told you I'd watch it this weekend? Didn't work out after all. But I had one busy Sunday in particular and I worked last night - came home around 2.15 am. Always makes me smile how a lot of work done in this household is done at night... and sometimes, strippers [male and female, btw] are involved, too! lol But I'm thinking I'll watch it today. I actually dreamt of it last night. Might be a sign or something.
Changing the subject now. Reason #454512 why it's cool living near Paris: there's always something quite original and fun going on - so yesterday, Paris officials turned the Champs-Elysées into a sports playground in a bid to host the 2012 Olympics including tennis courts, beach volleyball, equestrian rings, a pool where kids could sail a catamaran, an athletic track, wrestling mats etc etc... Twas quite a sight! I'm not even sure I want us to host the Game in 2012 but it's still nice seeing the enthusiasm of those people. And seeing les Champs-Elysées all dressed up like this was just awesome. Reminds me of when they turned the avenue in a huge cornfield in 1990.
And lastly, just because sometimes real life is better thanfanfiction: Police 'frees' a S&M sex slave from car trunk. That cracked me up.
ETA: Heee! I can't believe I almost forgot! Today is my Second LJ Anniversary - I actually thought it was in July, but no - First Entry on 6 June 2003 it was, back when we still needed invite codes to get an account *g* Happy LJ Anniversary to me *congrats* Wow, two years? This is quite awesome, really *kisses flist for being part of the fun* Also, maybe it would be time for me to talk about personal stuff a little more *scratches head* Or maybe not. But maybe I'll create my first filter, then. Not for reading, just for writing. Will have to think about that *ponders*
