This is a Me post. That is, more than usual.

Oh boy! I so love birthdays! Well, mine, in particular *g* It's a day when everything is about you and you can just bask in the feeling and it's okay *loves*

I've had a lovely night; the Parental Unit being in Rome since Friday - for the communion and confirmation of two of my cousins - and since La Globule had to leave too this morning it was just The Esu and me, so I was invited to their place for a delicious meal which I've picked meself yesterday when we were at the mall. I was given the right to choose the whole menu - isn't it lovely? I think it is. And it was very yummy *smacks lips* The Esu also spoilt me pressie wise: Gantz DVD, as well as... Gilmore Girls season 1! lol This is a funny DVD Week, believe you me!

I've watched two episodes and my favourite character? Is Michel, I think. The guy cracks me up, though I adore Lorelai too, of course - and the two of them together is a riot. It's great cause it's been ages since I've watched the whole show so it's like seeing it for the first time.

I also received a wonderful homemade Starbucks voucher by yami_tai, which made me laugh so much and, at the same time, made me melt and filled me with glee because awww but this was so sweet! And I also got - and this one is also brilliant - a Charmed Amnesty Card by greedy_dancer which - pay attention - 'gives me the right to post, talk and squee about Charmed with no repercussions'. And just - God but do my friends know me or what? lol This is brilliant beyond words. Thank you again, girls!

Also? You'd all better believe that I'll use this Amnesty Card! Just not now now, maybe, but soon!

Also also, as a reward for studying on my birthday, I started writing an SPN fic. Actually, it was more like being assaulted by a certain Sam/Dean visual and not being able to do anything else before I wrote it down. It was supposed to be a one scene thing: Sam finger-fucking Dean and making him come and all but apparently I can't write smut without a proper decor and context so, well, I needed to put that down too *sigh* Which means that they're both still fully clothed at the moment. It's not buddies! It's also the kind of fic that doesn't have any kind of redeeming qualities whatsoever. If I do finish it, it'll be a PWP and nothing more. I guess I'll write my SPN kinda darkfic another time.

Of SPN, GG and RL.

SPN fic still not finished, though at least they started getting in on. Thing is, I was distracted. And, okay, of course the boys molesting each other in a club is distracting enough, but what I mean is that I got distracted by my new and so shiny Gilmore Girls DVDs. I've watched a couple more episodes today. I have a couple of observations:

1. twink!Jared is just too funny. I think the oddest thing isn't even that he looks like a kid or that the hair is... what it is, the oddest thing is the voice. It's the same but different. But he's growing on me, he's really sweet. Though I do get distracted each time they mention his name. He's not supposed to be called Dean. Dean is Dean. He's not. He's Sam. Or SamDean, eventually.

2. Ep 1x0? - it's true that French people kiss each other hello and goodbye, and it's true that male!French will kiss another male!French if they're related or good friends - though, obviously, it's not a rule either and some don't - but one thing is sure, two French who happen to be a) male and b) complete strangers would not kiss each other like they did in that scene. I don't care that Michel is French and that the other businessman is as well, he wouldn't have done that. Ever. But! I forgive them because omg! The French businessmen? Did speak French for real! With a French accent! Wow. And I thought it was impossible for French characters to be played by actual French people - and here we had several!

3. I love Michel, as previously established. As well as Lorelai, though she is seriously high maintenance. And I really like Rory - though she should loosen up a bit - and Lane and Sookie. And I love Emily, because she's trying so hard and it's difficult and she's made and is still making mistakes but she's trying to fix it, and Grandfather is great too. SamDean is growing on me and Luke is fun. Jackson cracks me up. All in all, I'm having a lot of fun with that show ;-)

Now, completely unrelated; I'm waiting for La Globule and Godfather + Aunt to arrive - the chemo has been delayed from Thursday to tomorrow so they'll come over tonight instead of last wednesday. Though a lot of crappy things are happening due to aforementioned chemo, there's something that keeps making me perk up. My godfather is turning into a sentinel! He makes me think of Jim like you wouldn't believe: thing is, one of the effects chemo might have on people is to enhance their sense of smell and he's doing this 'do you smell that' a lot and it's actually a bit freaky because he's smelling things no one else is and when you investigate, you realise the neighbour three houses away is doing her laundry or stuff like that. Of course it also sucks because scents that he usually didn't have problem with before are making him nauseous now, and then there's all the bad smells that just suck altogether. Damn good thing he doesn't live in the city, he would have a worse time than he is now, living at the country and all. If I could teach him to dial it down, I totally would.
