Jul. 27th, 2006 11:31 amWoke up not so long ago this morning and first thing that happened was a phone call from The Girlfriend - can a day start better than that? I don't think so. Then while speaking to her I opened all the windows and realised that the fresh air we got last night thanks to the big storms was still there! Fresh air! Cool air! Man, I thought it would never happen, you know? So that was another reason to smile today *g* Because yesterday was another Bloody Hot Day.
But it was okay somehow because going out wasn't the torture it has been the past weeks since it meant I could spend the whole afternoon in the water! The Esu and I installed the swimming pool at my grandparents' place sometime ago - you know those circular pools you put up in summer and put down when the weather starts leaning on the rainy side? - and I finally had the opportunity to try it. Henry found one for half the price it's indicated here so we didn't hesitate. It's not as if you can really swim per se but you're still frolicking in cool water and oh it was pure bliss!
I also watched the Eureka premiere and I finally saw first hand why everyone was raving about it. Imagine that; a town full of super geeks. Not one genius but a hundred of them. Little!geek, big!geek, old!geek! kid!geek - geeks all around! Talk about an original setting and original characters. It was funny as hell... and then the plot thickened and woohoo! I'm downloading the second episode right this minute, can't wait to see what Jack is going to face this time.
And btw, we have yet a new Jack. I guess just because you have original characters doesn't mean you need original names? But funny thing, in Eureka we have a Jack Carter and a Jim Taggart.
ETA: French Posse! Look at that site! It has all the animes we watched when we were kids and then some! I have a CD with, like, a hundred of them, but I'm totally beaten here *loves* Argh, I don't want to go out now! Okay, the site will be here when I'll come home, right? *looks longingly at said site*
