Apr. 10th, 2007 10:29 amYesterday's bank holiday was already glorious enough - sleep in, lazying around, some Ikea shopping, all under a wonderful blue sky and a warm sun - but today's first day of my mini-break is even more delicious. Man, I hadn't realised how much I needed some quiet time away from work! Bliss! *stretches lazily*
Hey, how long was it since I last discovered a new show? I'd say around six episodes of TBD, read around six weeks? Which means it was high time I remedied that. So that's what I did last night; in other words, I seriously started on House. I say 'seriously' because even though I meant to follow the show now that it's airing on TF1, I've been missing all but one little episode. So it couldn't do. greedy_dancer gave me a bunch of House episodes - s1 and s2 - and so I was set to start with the getting hooked on a new show thing.
And the verdict is quite good. The show is brilliant and the characters all kinds of awesome. I'm falling for Chase - no surprise, here, I guess - but I'm pretty much into House and Wilson as well. Can't say anything about Cameron or Foreman as of yet - nor Cuddy - but I'm impatient to see more so that I can make up my mind about them. In any case, that was another pimping success story. And at least I know I have a lot more in store for me, there's a third season I'll need to catch up on, is that it? I have no idea what's the status is; current airing, hiatus, in-between seasons?
Something I keep forgetting is how difficult it is to find icons when a popular show has more than one season; there're too many of them and it feels like you won't ever find the one you want. I picked that one because he's very pretty on it but I'd like a Chase icon too; or one with the whole team. I'll keep looking, anyway.
I also need to watch The Black Donnellys 1x07, though the software I wanted to use to be able to watch the streaming video isn't working on Clark - hate at first sight, it seems - so I suppose I'll wait for some charitable soul to rip the ep and upload it for us... And Life on Mars too, man, I guess I'll just do a LoM marathon and watch the whole thing in one go. I can't believe tonight's episode is the show finale... And N3, which I haven't seen either. I'm a bit behind, methinks.
Today's program will be nicely busy; I'll start working at the flat this afternoon, I might see a friend afterwards and then tonight I'll OD on House. I'm down with that *nods*
