Jan. 12th, 2008 04:47 pmAm back from my lil vacation *waves* Brittany was nice, but I think I have a slight preference for my stay in St-Jean-de-Luz; it was way more laid back as holiday goes as we just lazed around :-)
That is, we had long walks in town followed with long walks on the beach, we went to the market, and that was pretty much it. Since the flat was five minutes away from the beach - we actually saw it from the big balcony - and we were five minutes away from Main street, it was all very zen like, you know? Oh and since it wasn't holiday time, we had the beach for ourselves most of the time. Ditto for the town. Awesome!
I took pictures from both stays but I need to resize them all if I want to share them and it's a bit tedious - if you know a program that would let me resize them as a single batch, it would be awesome... keeping in mind that I suck and fail at Photoshop - so it'll take some time.
I do have a picture of my nephew and me that I quite enjoy. ( And will share here. )
Oh and the flat? Was huge! It even had a tv room! With comfy armchairs - and blankets that went with them - a big flat screen on the wall, speakers all around. With cable. It was like heaven for Sandrine and me lol
Obviously we had better things to do than watch tv during the day but at nights? Oh boy we certainly had a lot of fun with it ;-)
Speaking of, we watched the premiere of Ugly Betty. I don't know what to think of it. On the one hand, I really like Betty, I'm sorta in love with her family and I think I could learn to really like Daniel but on the other hand it's a bit lame. I mean... I didn't know it would be so stereotypical, I guess. I don't know if things will get more complex afterwards but most of what happened was so expected. I swear you could tell the dialogues before the characters themselves.
Having said that, I'll watch the next episodes, see if I can get into it for good or not. We'll see.
Oh, and I watched the new Numb3rs today - incidentally, it felt so great having something new to download! - and the episode was awesome! I really loved it *squishes "Breaking Point"* I think I was waiting for that type of episode since the first season, somehow. I always say I love N3 so much for the family thing and the team thing and that episode was like the epitome of it ♥ ♥
And I might have watched the trailer for SPN 3x09 and there's this moment - lasts, like, two seconds on the trailer - which made me squee and bounce and I can't wait to see what the context is, exactly *bounces*
