Am going through the flist cautiously today as I haven't watched the SPN finale yet and I don't want to be spoiled. Better be safe than angry sorry. I'm also skipping all posts over at the SPN story finders comm because 90% of the members don't seem to believe in the "don't spoil thy neighbour" commandment. Not that I'm obsessed with the idea of being spoiled or anything!
I think I'm just frustrated because I'm sorta dying to watch the episode (and dreading it too. In a good way. Only, I don't want SPN to break my heart into tiny little pieces and I don't trust that show at all. Kripke & al know too well how to kill me dead) but I decided to study first (yes I'm on LJ right now, I can't start studying right after I get home from work, I need to relax a little bit) and I'm totally regretting my decision. Being reasonable sucks! I don't know why so many people think it's the way to go!
Unrelated, though about tv show. So Sam recc'ed this site to me, BetaSeries - it's in French - which is a social cataloguing website, I guess? Like GoodReads, only for tv shows. You add the shows you're watching, check the episodes/seasons you've seen and you can archive those that are off the air or that you've stopped following. You can add other users, comment on their pages etc. And, even better yet, there's this calendar thing which tells you what day your shows are downloadable... and what I love is that it's Day+1, meaning it doesn't tell you when the show airs in the US but when it's (usually) up for grabs for us. I think it's awfully cute. It's an extended calendar, too, so the White Collar s2 premiere has been programmed already ♥ ♥ `
The funny part is on our profiles. It details the number of shows you've added, the number of episodes and seasons you've watched, the number of episodes you have yet to watch if you want to catch up with everything and! It also tells you how long you've spent watching tv... I've added 52 shows to my page (current ones like SPN, new ones like WhiCo, old ones like Quantum Leap and real oldies like ST:TOS) - which is far from being an exhaustive list, btw, but I can't add everything I've watched, can I? - and I've been told that with those 52 shows, I've watched tv for 2 months 3 weeks 3 days 14 hours 31 minutes. And I'm still adding to the list.
Also, if I want to watch all the missing episodes from those shows I follow/catch every now and then, I'll need 2 weeks 1 day 2 hours and 30 minutes. Hmm, somehow I'm pretty sure my boss wouldn't take it kindly if I were to ask him for the time off :-p
