jedicathy's birthday on Saturday and she cooked an amazing meal for us, entirely based on Game of Thrones! She used this cookbook and it was absolutely fantastic! The menu went something like this: appetizers from Dorne and medieval drinks, bacon and beef pie from Winterfell with buttered carrots, Lady Sansa's salad with assorted cheese, soup of fruits and honey cakes. I couldn't eat most it on the day due to Lent but what I could eat was delicious and Cathy sent me back home with me own doggy bag so I could catch up on Sunday #BestHostessEver A couple of pics of ( aforementioned meal from Westeros behind the cut )
A hundred percent fannish now. Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters was seen twice since it was released last week. It was everything I hoped it'd be, cracky without being ridiculous, silly without being stupid, I loved the relationship between the siblings - so lovely - and then there was Mina! I loved Mina. In short I thought the whole thing was a lot of fun :)
Oh, and so it was Fandom_wank's tenth anniversary last week? I don't even remember the last time I went there - problems with many fannish wanks is that everyone ends up looking bad very quickly and very soon you'd be hard pressed to tell the "bad guys" from the "good guys" - but I found myself having a look at their Wankiest Wanks that Ever Wanked list and felt compelled to re-readcharlottelennox's Ms. Scribe Story: An Unauthorized Fandom Biography, which I remember losing sleep over the first time it was posted, it was such an incredibly well-documented retelling of the wank... So I've been busy revisiting Fandom's old (albeit not exactly most glorious) "classics", I guess.
