Dec. 20th, 2015 09:22 amI don't count the number of times I've sat in front of my computer and started typing an entry only to be distracted and never finish it. I have shame, flist, shame! Especially as it is the season to be jolly on my livejournal and I haven't waxed poetry about Christmas at all! I'm filled with sadness over this! I did have some lovely Christmassy moments over the past weeks, among the busy.
I could have talked about our tree (which is even bigger than usual and even more gorgeous) and our decorations (we have Christmassy pillows now! I think that's the one thing we really were missing - the French aren't as into pillows as our fellow Americans seem to be. Oh, and we found some of the cutest Christmas pillows on Amazon.com but alas they don't ship to Europe/France. We're so deprived omg!) or the Christmassy drinks I've been enjoying (I've been to Costa a couple of times and don't tell Starbucks but I've quite enjoyed the place! Also it's cheaper) or how we went to Eurodisney and how it is even more magical this time of the year or, well I had content to add to my LJ, see?
Another frustrating thing is that I keep meaning to share a "My life in pictures" kind of post (because I'm under the illusion that it's "easier" to do than an actual post with words), I keep selecting photos to share, even go as far as label them so that I can find them more easily and... I never get around to do it! Case in point, this entry was supposed to have photos included (the draft version is full of [Insert photos of tree here] [insert photo of books here] but it's been sitting on my computer for the past two days and nothing is happening.
So in the spirit of posting something, I'm just going to hit "send" on this draft, even though this is not the final version I pictured in my mind. Sometimes you have to take drastic measures :p
Wait, no, I am going to post one pic, because I thought it was a funny one (and interesting as far as "spoiler culture" is concerned) related to the release of Star Wars (which we're about to see for the second time, whee!). ( I'm talking about this poster )
Good luck to those who would want to spoil anyone in that shop!
So, yes, Star Wars: The Force awakens has been seen once, finally! I say "finally" but we only waited for two days to go - the film came out on Wednesday here and we went on Friday so, not bad ;)
No spoiler here, but I'll just say that I had a blast. I actually almost forgot JJ Abrams was at the helm (and that's a huge thing coming from me!). We're actually leaving in twenty minutes to see it again.
