LJmas - Jour 1 (Premier jour de l'Avent)
Dec. 2nd, 2017 12:00 amAlright so it's 00:02 meaning it's technically the 2nd of December right now but I went out with friends tonight and just got home so this isn't my fault and since I haven't gone to bed yet, I consider it's still Friday, December 1st.
So! *points below*
First entry of LJmas and such a seasonal entry it is: I'm still quite excited, you guys, because it snowed last night! I mean, it snowed in (and around) Paris! Which is rare enough that I can count in years the last time in happened (I think it was three years ago? I don't count flimsy snowflakes falling for two minutes). They'd announced snowfalls over about half of France and, as it happens, Ile-de-France (Paris and its surrounding départements) was right in the middle of it. I wanted to believe we would see snow but I didn't really believe it? Not so soon, at any rate, I mean in November (albeit the very last day of November) ? Unlikely. Except when I got out of my Italian class big, fluffy snowflakes were falling from the Parisian sky and by the time I got home, everything was covered in white (myself included lol).
This morning, there was nothing left (not in Paris, at least) but still... we got to see snow! And it wasn't even December, yet. This morning I dressed in the coziest, wintery outfit ever and it definitely made my day :)
Speaking of which, happy First Day of Avent (to those who celebrate Christmas). Happy First Day of December to everyone else, all the same :) Hope December is a joyful time for us all *hugs*
