3615, ma vie - chapitre 2
Mar. 27th, 2018 08:28 pmThis week:
I've been working from home because students are blocking all entrances of the university where I work and will apparently keep doing so all week. Maybe next week too. Who knows? Not us! This is France for you.
I haven't watched the latest episodes of Lucifer and The Resident (yes, still watching it... still can't really explain why).
I have started watching a new show, though, (well, I've watched the first two episodes which I enjoyed enough to want to watch the third one) one that is full-on using all the tropes of its genre and is definitely on the Cliched side of tv writing, namely Deception - or, as many people call it Magician: Impossible, which is definitely a better title ;) It's your typical procedural/unlikely partners/coming out of nowhere consultants type of show but, what can I say, Castle, White Collar, Lucifer... I seem to enjoy that genre. As long as I find the characters likeable, I'll check my beliefs of RL judicial procedures at the door and enjoy the ride ;) Besides, I love the premise: a disgraced magician and his magical team team up with the FBI to help them catch bad guys all the while trying to find the evil magician who framed Someone I Can't Talk About Because it'd Spoil the Pilot for You. I mean...
Last week:
I went to the cinema (The Shape of Water, which I found rather disappointing, sadly), to the Daimyo, Japanese armours exhibit at the Guimet museum, as well as the conference I mentioned in a previous entry, about LGBTQ+ representation in US series -
slb44 if you have questions about it, let me know ;)
I played hookie and skipped my Italian class, oops.
I went to church for Palm Sunday and I didn't faint, this time! (I had a fainting spell last year which forced me to go home... although it was right after the priest had blessed the palms so all wasn't lost ;)
I finished The Good Place season 2 and oh, it was another solid piece of writing! I love that show a lot.
Next week:
I'll enjoy the hell of the Legion season premiere and omg, I am so excited about the show return!! Yes.
In two weeks:
I'll be on my way to Japan with Cookie for our honeymoon trip and omg bis, I am so incredibly EXCITED about this. Still sounds completely surreal, though, not gonna lie.
I'll also miss the (final *sobs*) season premiere of The Originals but er, it'll be ok because the reason why I'll be missing it is that I'll be in Japan.
In a month:
Well, let's not spoil everything, shall we? ;)
