castalie: (Stock - Lazy Weekend)
First week back at work over and done with \o/ It was a quiet one, exactly what was needed to get back into the swing of things. I have a pretty quiet weekend ahead of me too, which is perfect. Cookie and I were supposed to be adulting tomorrow morning with an appointment at the bank but we postponed it so there is no obligation to get up any longer, yay!

Cookie will be busy doing her own things tomorrow so I'll either sleep in and chill at home or go to an early showing of BlacKkKlansman (if I get up early enough) and then chill at home (I'm planning on doing nothing but read and chill, although plans have the tendency to change at the last minute so I'll see). Then on Sunday, it's my turn to do my own things as I'll be going to the Gustav Klimt exhibit held in Paris with the FP and maybe having brunch together afterwards? The exhibit is a sure thing, we'll see about the rest later; it'll also depend on the weather I think but we're supposed to have a beautiful and warm weekend.

Without the slightest segue: has any of you listened to the Drinkin' Bros podcast episode with Clayne Crawford? It was quite something, wow! I'd decided not to watch the new season after the whole mess blew up but listening to the podcast definitely would have sealed the deal (for me, obviously) should I have had some doubts left. Again, I know we might never know the whole truth but everything I've seen so far makes me inclined to believe Crawford's side of the story, so.

Also, listening to him, it'd seem many of the aspects of the show that made me fall in love with it (and made me fall in love with his Riggs) was, in part, due to his own vision of the character. If they'd picked anyone else to play Riggs, we might have had a totally different show and, from what I gathered, one I might have wanted to pass altogether. The darker note, Riggs' vulnerability, that perfect balance of comedy and drama might have been a result of his own vision of the story. Definitely grateful. And even more annoyed at how the whole thing went down. Seeing how successful the show was (and not knowing what was happening behind-the-scenes, obviously) I firmly believed this was the one show that was safe, at least for a couple of more seasons. I was expecting to enjoy the ride for a couple of years still... well, that'll teach me.

Anyway, hope you have a lovely weekend, flist.
