There was a bit of a ruckus at work today when the security system - which I'm sure was on crack since yesterday, admittedly - decided to shut itself down, meaning that it closed all the doors on its own. Meaning that people couldn't get in, which was bad enough, but worse, that people couldn't get out. And by people I mean me *is so very self-centred* That was fun. And kinda original as workday goes. But obviously everything was fixed because hi! I'm safe at home and everything...

Anyway.

Not a lot of activity on my flist when I came back but sparky77 posted a link to the new [international, it seems] Serenity trailer and just, dude! When is it coming out in France, again? Oh yeah, le 19 octobre *can't wait* greedy_dancer, I seriously hope you didn't forget that we're supposed to go and see it together?

Hey, I'm seeing Quinn Mallory Jerry O'Connell everywhere these days... Crossing Jordan on a daily basis and just now in Without a Trace ["Hawks and Handsaws"], not that I'm complaining, mind. Sliders is one of those series that technically might not have been one of the best series that ever lived but I never missed a single episode when it aired. And wow, I just made myself want to hunt some of my VHS again now *shakes head*

And to end this oh so very pointless post on an even more pointless note, here a little meme I've seen here and there on my flist:

Serenity is a movie that is a follow up to the - pretty awesome - Firefly (http://www.scifispace.com/html/firefly.php) series created by Joss Whedon [of Buffy and Angel fame] which was butchered by TPTB and cancelled prematurely *g* The movie is like a present offered to the fan in compensation for the whole cancellation debacle... sorta.

Yeah it's from a show *g* I'll certainly believe you btw lol But even more since I had never watched the show before the end of May, when a good friend on my flist offered me the boxset for my bday *g* The series only ever aired on the cable, I think, so it makes its viewing a tad more difficult than the average... and I'm not even sure about the cable, now that I think of it *frowns*
