Paris Pride 2006

I had a brilliant time today, people! Just brilliant. That's one more participation in Pride, yay!

The day started with teh usual brunch at Starbucks Opéra with [livejournal.com profile] moimoietmoi and [livejournal.com profile] greedy_dancer, which is always a favourite moment of mine :-) Then SAM abandoned us and GD and I left for Montparnasse where the Parisian Pride had its starting point. Since I knew [livejournal.com profile] catiadoodle was also there, I had the crazy idea of texting her to see whether we could find each other. I say 'crazy idea' because if you've participated in Pride at least once - or any gathering of a gazillion people - you'll know how unlikely it is to actually find the person you're looking for. But lo, we did find each other. I win at text message and meeting at Pride! And yeah okay it wasn't easy even with the Wonder That is Technology, ie Mobile. I actually tried to call her at one point and the end of convo had me going "SEND ME A TEXT MESSAGE AND TELL ME WHERE YOU ARE OKAY? I SAID TEXT MESSAGE!" but whatever.

So we chatted for a bit and it was really nice seeing her again; it's been a while since our last meeting. We didn't stay together though as Catia and her friends wanted to be part of the Pride audience whereas GD and I wanted to be Pride go-go dancers participants. So we waited for The Right Float - one with good music and, if possible, without any politician ties, thanks - and we said goodbye to Catia to follow it, which we did til the very end, ie when we reached Bastille. Dude, three hours of dancing and jumping and singing and walking and running in a warm and hot weather - when we finally reached the end, we were ready to collapse lol

And hey, this is actually my second Pride with [livejournal.com profile] greedy_dancer - how cool is that? :-)

There was a RadioFG concert held at Bastille but we didn't stay - a) I had to be in Choisy at 7.00 pm for a dinner with one of the women I'll work with in September and b) did I mention we were dead on our feet? And a bit deaf too. So we just had a drink in a café and then went our separate ways.

Dude, going to Pride? Is... it's powerful. I don't know. There're no words for how much I love being part of it *is giddy at even the thought of it*

I'm now back from my dinner - it went well, btw - and I'm obviously cruising lj. Quiet night to end a pretty exciting and hectic day :-) Tomorrow I'm going at Sandrine's to spend the day with her and Lucas. So it's gonna be awesome too *is impatient*

Before going - [livejournal.com profile] moimoietmoi? If you haven't found it already, here is the link I told you about this morning.

Hee, I was just about to turn off my computer to go shower and shave my legs and do all the other I'll-be-at-the-beach-tomorrow preparatory stuff (and yes I do know it's midnight already, so what, I totally planned on doing it this late, so there :p) but decided to refresh my flist one more time and there you were! *squishes*

I'm so happy you had an awesome day and my wish to attend a Pride someday soon just grew even bigger.

Anyways, I'm gonna go now and I can't believe I won't see your posts for two weeks and I will miss you and expect a postcard (and omg the second I come back, I'm totally mailing your gift *facepalm*) and omg did I mention I'm gonna miss you? Yeah. *clings*

Wow, this was kinda rambly crazy like, huh? *beams*

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course you'd planned on doing all of this so late!

And DUDE I'm so gonna miss you too *clings* I know it's for a good cause though, I mean vacation and beach? Definitely worth it *nods*

Hee postcard! YAY!

Rambly crazy is lover! lol

*kiss kiss*

Last night while I was reading "Les Thanatonautes," I was impressed to see the Chippewa Indians' mythology! I believe it's around chapter 61. I just really liked it because the Chippewa do live in Northern Wisconsin. Very cool!

That's Bernard Werber for you - he's the Master of research, sometimes it feels like he knows everything about everything :-)

Thanks for the link! Si l'accrobranche tombe à l'eau *snerks*, au moins j'aurai le temps de lire tout ça!

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-06-26 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
You're welcome. Have you checked it out yet? Et t'y es allée finalement ou pas, à ton accrobranche?

[identity profile] moimoietmoi.livejournal.com 2006-06-26 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] moimoietmoi.livejournal.com 2006-06-26 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
*morte de rire*

T'es pas la seule à avoir du mal à me voir faire ce genre de truc! J'en ai parlé à un pote hier et il ne m'a qu'à moitié crue... lol

Faudrait lancer un débat sur le slash et le sport!

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-06-26 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Bah je me sens moins seule avec mes préjugés alors lol

[identity profile] yami-tai.livejournal.com 2006-06-26 01:34 pm (UTC)(link)
It sounds like you had a marvellous day ^_________^!

I SAID TEXT MESSAGE!"

My goodness, whatever could she have heard instead? LOL!

And you've updated your LJ layout with the Winchester boys, yay!

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-06-26 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I had a blast, yes, me happy *g*

Lol She didn't hear anything, actually, which is why I was yelling my head off :-)

Yes, finally! The lack of the Winchester boys on my banner was seriously starting to hurt...

[identity profile] yami-tai.livejournal.com 2006-06-26 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
She didn't hear anything

Oh dear, I thought she'd heard sex message ^^;! *points to icon* I have nothing else to add!

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-06-26 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually from an English point of view, it totally makes sense - and it would have been pretty funny ;-)

Except I translated what I originally said, you know? It should have read 'texto' instead of 'text message'. But, man, I love the 'sex message' thing! lol

[identity profile] yami-tai.livejournal.com 2006-06-27 01:09 pm (UTC)(link)
It should have read 'texto' instead of 'text message'.

Texto, huh? I like it, very Japanese ^_________^!

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-06-27 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Texto, huh? I like it, very Japanese ^_________^!

Hey now that you mention it, you're right :-)
