Of Jeremiah and Numb3rs
Back still hurting like a bitch, I had to cancel my plan with tbf!Rissy, I wasn't a happy camper blah blah blah.
Moving on though because I! Wrote a fic today \o/ So. Did I write my
j2_otpathon fic, you may wonder? It would have been the smart thing to do, right? What with the challenge and the deadline thing. But, no, because that would have been too easy. Instead I wrote a fic for a fandom that, well, has no real fandom to speak of. I committed fic... of the Jeremiah persuasion! No, I'm not even kidding *sigh*
Thing is... okay, does anyone remember me saying - around a week ago - something along the line of 'I can stay, like, two weeks without falling for a new show'? I'm so funny! Or delusional, I'm not sure which. Because apparently I fell for Jeremiah this weekend and if I go back in my entries, well, my falling for Torchwood doesn't go that far back. Like, time elapsed between my falling for Torchwood and Jeremiah? About seven days.
I'm just too easy, what can I say! And Jeremiah... well, see, I liked the first season well enough but then the second one happened and I was just completely into it - you just need to forget about some of the plot holes and stuff, after that it's all good. My favourite character? Mister Smith. Yes, God says, sometimes you have to wait a whole season before your favourite character shows up. Second favourite... man, it's a tie between Kurdy and Markus. Jeremiah is cool, don't get me wrong, but it's Kurdy and Markus! I also really like Erin and Theo, in all her OTTand psychopathic at first glory.
I wanted to read some slash - Kurdy/Smith, Kurdy/Markus or Jeremiah/Markus, even - but it wasn't a success. And then, before I knew it, I'd written my own! Yeah, boggles the mind, I know.
Though writing a fic that has no fandom isn't the only thing I did today. I also watched the new Numb3rs, which I really enjoyed!
I've been waiting forever for Charlie's other consultant work to interfere with his work with Don and it finally happened! I loved the little argument the boys had and Alan's intervention. Though what I loved more was Don coming to the rescue of Charlie and coming in between him and the NSA Guys, over and over *loves protectivebigbrother!Don* Hey, Men in Suit, trying to intimidate a big brother protecting his little brother? Good luck with that!
I quite enjoyed the Millie-Charlie scenes. In particular the first one with the chess convo. Loved Charlie’s 'oh boy' and his facial expression, then. Man... first I dug the new Amita/Charlie – though okay it’s not as if I'm shipping them or anything – in a couple of episodes and now I’m enjoying the Millie-Charlie duo... I'm totally gonna be defriended, aren't I? PLEASE DON'T DEFRIEND ME! *clings*
Colby is totally smitten with Charlie! He proves it time and time again! "You gotta let him run with this; he's fun to watch when he's going." Aww Colby ♥ I just wonder what it is with mathematicians and FBI agents who want to fuck them? Don and Charlie. Edgy and Charlie. Colby and Charlie. Hmm, or maybe it's just that mathematician? *beams*
The last scene! So much love for the last scene – it might have suprised me a bit in the sense that I usually claim that I want my Eppes men scenes to be just that, about and with the Eppes men, but I happen to think Mildred fits in. Besides I had some nice scenes with the boys before so I didn't feel cheated or anything. So yeah mucho love for the tag scene, and Mildred was awesome in it – the way she interacts with them all... It doesn't seem forced or anything now and I love how relaxed our boys are with her. Her 'Eppes ladies' comment cracked me up. And aforementioned Eppes ladies' reaction cracked me up even more.

Millie has been much more palatable (funny, even) in the last couple of eps. I think they really screwed up in the first, making he so pushy. I hope we don't see that side of her again.
Colby was wonderful! He likes watching Charlie! *g*
I couldn't believe that I liked the last scene, too! I mean, it's not an "Eppes family moment" if it's not just the boys, but I enjoyed this one. Loved the boys sitting down and playing poker, even though Alan swore he'd never play with Charlie again, lol. I think he's feeling a bit competitive since Millie (who doesn't even play!) beat him at chess. *g* Yes, Eppes ladies, lol! I thought I heard that wrong at first. *g*

I love how Colby is towards Charlie; amused and fond, it's just so sweet *g*
So you liked it too? Great! And I thought I'd hear the 'ladies' part wrong too. I actually checked the quote part of your review to make sure I'd heard right :-) I'll go back asap to properly read your review *g*

OMG! L M F A O. This is why I totally love you, Mouse. Your brain is completely warped, but in a great way.
*loves protectivebigbrother!Don*
That was the best part of the ep, in my opinion.

Don !
