Breaking Point 2 back in the game *blink* Wow!

Wanna know something I would *really* really want? Two days- just *two* days with a friend page that isn't stretched out because of a big pic that wasn't hidden behind a tag, or because of a quizz that is bigger than life or a map that is even bigger or I don't know else could mess it up, just two days with a normal friend page when I don't have to scroll side to side to read a fucking line *sigh*

Hey, I'm pretty happy because my class this morning was actually interesting after all. It definitely was better than last week- and hopefully, it'll stay that way *crosses fingers*

Although when I say it was interesting, I'm talking about the first two hours when the teach' was talking, because the oral presentations by the students are usually a little... boring, you know? So uh, yes, I sorta entertained myself during the last hour- and hear this, I wrote some more of BP2! Not kidding. The students were doing their presentations, and I was writing about Jack and Daniel.

I know, I know, it sounds bad. But let's not be hypocrites here, no one ever really listens to those presentations- and it's the same thing when *I* have to do them, of course. I follow what they're saying, yes- but on the whole, I usually do something else- like everyone else does. That's how it works.

Anyway, my Muses must have been inspired by the place, because I wrote two pages. Not a lot, but hey I was still following the presentations at the same time, so I have an excuse *g*

Now that I'm back, I think I'm going to spend my afternoon reading fics: I have some Faramir slash, and some nice J/D waiting for me, and I hear them calling.

Then, maybe some more of BP2...

What a lovely program *happy sigh*

I've never tried this myself, but under LJ's 'Personal Info', there's an option that reads:

Use image placeholders on your friends page: Placeholders are useful if you are browsing at work or over a slow connection, replacing inline images with links. What size images do you want placeholders to be used for?

And there's a drop-down menu to select what size images you'll allow.

It might stop your friends page from being destroyed by people who don't use cut tags!

That's sweet, thanks for the support *and* the interest *g* I so wish I could go back to it once and for all. It's so weird because BPS was written pretty quickly. If was shorter, but still *shrug*

I already have ten pages, so it's not as if I didn't write anything, but it just doesn't want to come, even though I *know* what I want *glares at Muses* But hey, I wrote more today, so I have to focus on that *g*

I write fic through student presentations all the time, no qualms about it.

Though I really hope no one writes slash through my Antony and Cleopatra presentation unless they let me read it

It posivitely drives me crazy as well, and NOT in a good way, either!

BUT I solved my problem! In the Personal Info page, I checked the 'Use image placeholders on your friends page' box. It replaces inline pics by a link. I chose to put every kind of pic in that placeholder. If I do want to see the pic, no problem- I just have to click on the logo, et voilà *g*

My flist went back to normal- or practically, the image placeholder doesn't work on some memes, but so far, the ones that didn't belong to the img placeholder were small enough that my friends page stretched just a tiny bit only.

It's magical, I'm telling you! It was that, or start to get really bitchy, and really, this method is so much more satisfying! lol For everyone *eg*
