Of Con, Buffy, Vids and New Amsterdam.

Random question of the day: does anyone know whether there's any Asylum tickets left? Not that I'm going, just, if I knew there were no tickets left, it would do a world of good to my sanity, thx.
My Daily Buffy Fix continues. And er, I don't remember crying so much when I last watched Buffy! Though I guess I did, I just forgot but, wow. Between Monday and Tuesday, I've watched "The Body" "Forever" "Tough Love" "Spiral" "The Weight of the World" and "The Gift" - I know, there're two episodes I missed - and I don't think I spent a single episode completely tear-free *blink* The ending of "The Gift" is fantastic as ever, btw. It never gets old.
On non-Buffy news. So at Wincon,
theoret decided to make it her personal mission to turn some of us into songivd lovers. In my case, it was a success. So I now find myself downloading vids - even hunting vids - and enjoying them a lot.
I mean, did you know that songvids tell a story? No, a real story. Well, I knew, sure, but I don't think I ever really saw them for real. A bit like, you know, those 3D puzzles with a picture hidden inside them? You know there's something in there, except you can't see it, so you don't really see the point. Except now, I've seen the light! *mucho thanks go to
theoret again*
Latest vid I've watched is by the talented
wistful_fever - admittedly she's one of those vidders whose vids I could always appreciate, even before, except now it's different and I can truly enjoy them to the fullest. So, anyway, if you haven't heard of her latest SPN vid, Your Own Personal Co-Dependent Wet Dream, well it's a shame so I'm helping you and linking you to it. See, am I not good to you? She also writes vid notes and that's a pretty neat thing to do *nods*
Changing the subject again; New Amsterdam has been watched. So Sara and her husband are actually separated? And John and her got together already? I think that disappointed me a bit at first; I mean, Sara being married was a nice little twist, and then the writers decided to put that to the side? Didn't they want to make us sweat a little, first?
Then I thought about it and, I don't know, maybe it's not that bad. Because, when you think of it, it's actually a bit more fucked-up that way. Technically, Sara is still married and the fact that she's having problems with her husband might be a good explanation as to why she would fall for someone she basically doesn't know from Adam; he's new, he's intriguing, he's obviously into her, he's surprising and romantic. Oh and he's pretty easy on the eyes, too. Maybe he's exactly what she needs at the moment. Not that it would be cold calculations or anything - I can't see Sara as that kind of person - but John might be a rebound, even if she doesn't mean to. Which makes thing a bit more complicated than they appeared.
Also, isn't it odd how smitten John is with her just because she might be The One? He doesn't know her at all... only know her The One status. It wasn't even love at first sight or anything since he didn't even see her the first time. Just keeled over and then started obsessing about her being The One. I mean, it doesn't seem to be a 'their souls recognised each other immediately' thing, so...
All in all, it does make for some kinda fucked-up relationship, when you think of it. Not that I think it was meant that way, but I think I prefer my version. We'll see...
Incidentally, John keeps being his adorable self and spurting all those True Facts about him in the most natural manner even when he knows people might think he's a bit eccentric. Or crazy :-) And Omar does the same thing, btw. His "feels like I've known him all my life" was cute. And sounded like something Daddy would say ;-)
Okay and now back to my translation. Deadlines are evil, guys! I already knew that re fic challenges but when it's about work? It's even worse... cause you can't bail out *pout*
