What We Did Yesterday aka Tv Fest
Yesterday was both extremely lazy and extremely productive: extremely lazy because we didn't set a foot outside - well, I did go out to buy some breakfast but it barely counts because it took me all of five minutes - and extremely productive because we did watch a lot of tv.
Let me think *counts on fingers* We started with SPN 4x07 - which I really enjoyed, that season rocks like a rocking thing that would rock a lot. The End - and decided to keep with the Jensen Ackles theme by watching Ten Inch Hero, which heee omg! So cute! Cute and funny and cute. I bought the DVD right after we were done. Couldn't resist.
Also, it was funny at the end when Priestly does his Banana Republic thing because he looked younger than Dean. Which, how weird is it when someone looks younger than, you know, themselves? And, okay, it's not exactly accurate since we're talking about characters but it was still funny that bananarepublic!JA looked younger than dean!JA. Which, incidentally, made us go 'aww he looks like a twink' *cue cooing on our part*.
Anyway, that was how we started our saturday tv marathon. After that we watched an episode of Ghost Hunters with eureka!Colin Ferguson as the guest investigator. That show is kinda cool but if I were to watch it on my own, I'd be freaking out too much. It's the kind of show I need to watch with someone else *is a wuss*
After that, it was Merlin 1x06 - meaning after two little days
crazybutsound was up-to-date with the show, nice! I think I also managed to insert one episode of Pushing Daisies in there, plus a couple of The Simpsons and one episode of Futurama.
And after a lifetime of hearing about it, I finally, finally saw Latter Days. Yes, it's a very cute film. Also, the Mormon thing made me think of Brendon and whatever reminds me of Panic of the Disco is always of the good, so.
Lastly, it was time for the new Merlin, so we watched that. New Merlin always makes me so happy! Even if I thought we were deprived of a pretty slashy scene at the end with Merlin giving Arthur mouth to mouth which, I'm sure, would have turned into a real kiss between them, which, in turn would have turned into some nice and slow first time... before Gaius entered the room and waited by Arthur's side, I mean.
I suppose Gaius wouldn't really enjoy seeing his "son" being shagged by our princely Arthur. You have to draw the line somewhere. Though I'm sure he wouldn't be fooled for a second... and then would end up giving them The Talk and ask Arthur what his intentions towards Merlin were.
Merlin, aka The Show Where Slash Is Hidden Everywhere. And Not Even Hidden That Well!
Now, off to get dressed then out of the flat and off to Paris for some afternoon in the big outdoors.

I loved Latter Days. That party boy is so pretty. I keep looking for him in other stuff. Not as good as A Touch of Pink. I LOVE that movie. Still so much gay films do not quite work so well. It is wonderful when one does.
I have 10 inch hero. I have only peeked at it. Do NOT love Jensen's look. I hope I will be able to get over it to enjoy his performance. Why do the pretty ones feel the need to play down the looks?!

Latter Days was good *nodnod* Angsty with a happy ending, exactly my kind of stories *g*
I've never seen A Touch of Pink, guess I'll have to investigate, eh? On the same subject - queer films - have you seen Boy Culture? Another favourite of mine; hot and sexy and sensual and sweet. Very nice film.
I have to say I quite dug Priestly's look in Ten Inch Hero - which surprised me a bit, I'll admit. I mean, yes, I'll always prefer JA's 'normal' look - Alec back then, Dean now etc etc... - but I loved how different he looked in the film and I still thought he was pretty ;-)
Plus, his character was so cute and funny and endearing that I couldn't not fall for him too.
I hope I will be able to get over it to enjoy his performance.
I hope too because he was awesome in that role - again. But, hey, sometimes a character's look just doesn't work, I totally get that.

So so good. I seriously cannot over praise it.
I have seen Boy Culture. The one with the male prostitute who is in love with his roommate? I really liked it a lot. Another "gay" movie well done.
I am never one to protest boys wearing eyeliner. The mohawk is another story. One of the reasons (besides not enough hours in the day) I have not watched it yet is that the audio track is just slightly off from the dialogue. Drives me a little nuts when lips are moving different from audio. I dl'ed from that link that got taken down because the poster was nervous over the amount of interest. I might try another dl. See if that will make a difference.
The name Priestly is a little distracting. I don't think I can hear the name and not think of Jason Priestly from the original 90210.
I love Alec to tears, but I don't think there was enough of him to compete with my affection for Dean. Sadly, Alec did not get enough screen time. Jason had his moments on Smallville, but also not enough. I could barely tolerate his role on Dawson's Creek, but I watched every minute. Jensen definitely looks better with short hair.

When I heard about the mohawk I was skeptical because it's definitely not the kind of haircuts that I find appealing. Then I saw a pic of him with the mohawk and changed my mind. I'm easy sometimes, I guess lol
Too bad about the out-of-synch dialogues. It'd definitely stop me from watching something. The file I downloaded might not be the best of quality but it doesn't have the same problem as yours. It's definitely more than watchable.
I'm still impatient to see the DVD version but the version I saw was good enough in the meantime :-)

Lol I can see how it'd be distracting. Though if you knew Priestly's real first name, you'd be even more distracted, believe you me ;-)
As for Dean, that character became one of my most favourite characters, ever. I love him and I love to love him - if it makes sense? :-)

I'm using Bitlord now and am quite happy with it. I don't remember where I found it, though, but I guess it'd one of the first sites that popped up.
