This morning I: slept in, took a long leisurely bath, read some deliciously kinky fics and wrote some more of my Merlin story. Cozy and relaxing and fannish morning - just perfect ♥ ♥ Going out later this afternoon is going to be a bit difficult, methinks.
Oh and I've been ogling this. Dude, Live In Chicago/A Picture With Books Deluxe Limited-Edition. Deluxe Limited-Edition! With the "96-page hardcover book entitled 'A Picture With Books.' It features Polaroids taken during the band's 2008 world tours" - I was wondering whether I really needed that book when I read how this deluxe edition was a "must-have for any diehard Panic fan." Clearly they're talking about me! I'm giving myself till tonight tocave in decide what to do. |ETA: A thought occurred to me, they do ship to Europe, right?]
Now, for something different, a little meme. I'll admit to being a bit nosy; I always enjoy those memes where people talk about their lives. So to make myself feel less guilty for the nosiness, I play too. That way it's more a matter of give and take. The universe and me, we like balance!
1. What are your nicknames?
Depending on who I'm with, I'll be Mouse, Alex, Ma Alex (as in 'my' Alex, and not 'Mom' Alex), Lex, Alexou, Bibougne. And Choupinette.
2. How do you style your hair?
Oh, my hair! Such a vast subject. My hair is curly and unruly, I love the curls but it drives me insane on a regular basis. It's been better the past years when I finally found a hairdresser who knew his business but still. Anyway, let's try to keep on track. What I do is at least straighten my fringe because otherwise it looks stupid. But then sometimes the straight fringe looks weird. It all depends on what effort I put into it.
It is an endless source of amusement for me to say that even my hair isn't straight. Even if it's alame joke I can't use in French.
3. What's new in your life right now?
My goddaughter, Chiara. I know she's almost five months old now, but each time I look at her I'm awed because, dude, six months ago she wasn't there! The other day my sister and I were looking at pics of our trip to Croatia, back in August 2007, and it was so weird because Chiara wasn't there yet, she wasn't even conceived or anything. And the weirdest thing is that it felt strange to think of a time when she wasn't part of our family.
4. How many colors are you wearing now?
Two, black hoodie and blue sweats.
5. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Introvert.
6. What was the last book you read?
M is for Magic by Neil Gaiman.
7. Do you nap a lot?
No, which is a good thing I guess as I'm not sure Boss Man would appreciate it.
8. If the person you secretly like is already taken, what would you do?
I don't think I'd do anything. Though I've never been in that situation so I can't say for sure. I just dislike the idea of being the reason for a break-up... but if I knew we were meant to be, maybe I would at least try and see if the-person-I-like is really happy in her couple? Seriously, I don't know.
9. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
There's one thing, but I suppose it wasn't meant to be, so I'll try again next year.
10. What was the last thing you ate today?
I haven't eaten today, actually, just drank my usualy milk with ricorée. I'm sorta fasting. Or not really, but it's just that I've eaten a bit too much lately and my stomach is hating me right now so I thought I'd let it be for today. I'm sorta fed up with food right now. Food and me, we're on a break for the day.
11. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
Not really long. That is, I like to take my time in the morning, but it's more to laze around and not start the day in a hurry. But if we're strictly talking about the bathroom part, it doesn't take long; I just hop in the shower, brush my teeth, do the fringe-straightening thing, dress and ciao. I really just need to shower and dress because I don't eat breakfast during the week - I'll usually buy a pain au chocolat on my way to work and eat it in my office, with a cup of cappuccino, while I'm checking my mails - work related ones, in case you were wondering :-)
12. What websites do you visit daily?
Livejournal. This is most definitely part of my daily routine. Even when I don't post, I'll alway read my flist. I also have gmail opened all day - it does count as a website, does it? I also suppose you could say I visit google daily because I always found myself there for one reason or another. Oh and I almost forgot del.icio.us too. I'm quite often over there.
13. What classes are you taking right now? And if you're not in school anymore, what's your job?
I work for a university - just because I'm not a student anymore doesn't mean I have to leave school, right? - for the Information and Communications Technology for Education department.
14. Do you like to clean?
I like to clean because I like the flat to be clean, if that's the question.
15. What's the last song that got stuck in your head?
Northern Downpour.
16. What are you doing right now?
Obviously typing this. And listening to A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. Also, just before I started this, I was one the phone with a friend of mine. There, you know it all :-)
17. What's better: eternal love or memorable love?
I guess I'll take 'eternal love' cause if it's eternal, it has to be memorable too.
18. What would you do if you see $100 lying on the ground?
Wish it were 100€ instead!
19. Best time of your life?
I'm plenty happy right now, but I still miss my grand-parents on a regular basis, so I suppose the best time of my life was 1999, because I still had my three grand-parents alive and maybe not healthy but healthy enough.
20. Tell me something good.
It's Christmas soon! Obviously if you don't celebrate/like/care about Christmas, you won't care about that either but you asked me so, yay Christmas!
And I'm adding this last line only because I'm not sure I like ending an entry on just the cut. So consider this an LJ quirk of mine - no ending my entries on an lj-cut if I can avoid it.
