Despite work being a bit crazy - it was like Boss Man couldn't bear the thought of not seeing the lot of us for two weeks and wanted to keep us all as long as possible with him - I had a great week and I've been in a very Christmassy mood all along.
Cookie helped a lot cause we had ourselves some lovely and/or fannish and/or christmassy evenings as she spent three nights at my place. Or was that four? Anyway, she lived at my place more than at hers. Thus, I'm sure, convincing Nosy Coworker that we are, indeed, together, as she thought - never mind the fact that she doesn't even know Cookie's sexual orientation in the first place. But apparently being a friend of mine means you're automatically a lesbian by association. And if we're friendly? Then we're A Couple. QED.
It made us smile to hear about the news and we're both playing it like we are indeed together that way. The secret is to keep a straight face - ha! - when we talk about 'romantic dinner' and stuff like that. It makes for a lot of fun :-)
Anyway, back to the Christmassy activities - in picspam, cause I love picspams.
First it was Christmas lunch at work :

Cookie took her mobile out and I was like 'whee picture!' because we're never afraid of being dorks in public! So we had foie gras and poulet farci and yummy veggies and potatoes and one hell of a big slice of cheese! And Christmas cake, too. Dunno if it looks that good but it was. I mean, obviously it's not from a restaurant or anything and maybe I'm easy but I thought it tasted just fine!
Then we went to W&H Smith where I bought my - first - Christmas presents and we made a detour to see the the beautifully illuminated Galeries Lafayette:

And no the blank slots aren't broken bulbs, the illuminations make different patterns... there's a moment when they're all lit up but it's not easy when you're just using your mobile to take the pic.
And there was one evening when we wrote our Christmas cards - which have been posted yesterday, yay \o/ - while watching Christmas films.

We started with It's a Very Merry Christmas Muppet Show followed with Mickey's Magical Christmas - Snowed in at the House of Mouse -
All in all, it was great :-) Also, to keep with the theme and because
babycakesin asked for a pic of my Christmas tree, here it goes:

I took another one because tonight because I needed to add that bottom-of-the-tree thingie and also because my nativity scene had no inhabitants at all and now it has Marie and Joseph and a cow. There're also two of the Magi en route. Baby Jesus is in a Christmas Tin Box, waiting to be born. There!

And a close-up of some of the decorations.
And since I was talking about cards - mine have been posted yesterday, btw \o/ - I received a bunch of them so a heartfelt thank you to :
katikat,
strippedhalo,
turloughisere,
babycakesin,
moimoietmoi and
yami_tai! Checking my mailbox is always so delightful this time of the year! ♥ Also, Tai! The pressie arrived at my parents', thank you again!!
Tomorrow is Last Big Top so, right this minute, I'm 98% on holidays for two weeks! Pure bliss :-)

I wish I had gotten your info. I made my christmas cards last night and posted them early this morning. I made a pretty good Merlin one. I would have loved to send you one. Maybe next year?

Date: 2008-12-21 02:11 pm (UTC)Well, obviously. Don't you know gay people can't have friends of the same sex? Honestly, woman. :p
(this is why bi people are such sluts, you know. we can't have friends of either sex, so we just sleep with everyone we run across. it's in our genes. trufax)
Also, the pics look wonderful. And the food looks delicious, it's a good thing I just had lunch. :D

Date: 2008-12-21 04:47 pm (UTC)(we had a Christmas lunch at work... then two days later we were asked to pay for what we had eaten. Yeeeeah... I was used to my employer paying if they're inviting me, I had not thought about the fact that I would have to pay. Thank God I was reasonable!)
