Big question of the day: do I watch SPN 4x21 or do I wait till next week, when I'll be able to watch both episodes in a row? Dilemma, dilemma!
I finally caught up with Dollhouse. I'll definitely cry if the show doesn't get a second season because it's so good! Though I'll admit that I was a tad disappointed with 1x11 but I think it's my own fault - after seeing everyone gush about it, I guess I was waiting for something different. But it was good, I liked it! Just not how I thought I would. Expectations should be banned.
Anyway, back to 1x11 - I have a spoilery question about something dominic!Victor said when he was in the chair, being interrogated. Did he call Saunders 'Whiskey'? I mean, I know they went for the 'he's asking for a drink' approach, but that sounds like bullshit when you know 'whiskey' is another code, like Echo and Victor etc. So was he looking at Saunders?
Or is it really just a coincidence and I'm seeing twists where there is none?
When I try to make sense of it, I don't really come up with anything valuable because ok, so let's say she is a doll... there's no way anyone would imprint her with a personality that's so attentive and attached to the dolls' well being - cause it could be dangerous in the long run. Or is it like what Topher called it once, something that goes 'deeper than memory'? Like she's instinctively trying to protect the dolls because something in her remembers being one?
Except! Yeah, when you think of it, she does talk about about how her goal is to protect all of the dolls and she certainly does prove it in 1x09, so she's definitely doing things that benefit Dollhouse...
In any case, it would also explain why she's living there 24/7.
Also, is she another kind of doll, like Mellie is? Or is it something else altogether? And, ok, I was thinking - if she was a doll like Echo and the others, maybe they decided to give her another function when she got scarred so badly? If being a doll means being 'flawless', her scars would get in the way of the whole 'pimping' thing somehow, maybe? And! Does it mean that they might do the same with Victor now?!!
I know we saw what happened when Alpha went on his rampage, but I don't remember whether it was from the characters' point of view - because if it was, then of course Saunders would remember it 'uncorrectly'.
Or maybe she's just like Mellie and being a doctor is her sole purpose.
If she is, indeed, a doll and if Dominic was really talking to her and if he really was calling for someone as opposed to really asking for a drink, like she said. That's a lot of 'if'. Also, I would have thought 'whiskey' would be given to a male doll as opposed to a female one but that might be because I'm thinking of how in French, 'whisky' is masculine ('du' whisky, 'un' whisky) and not feminine?
Wow, so many speculations for something that might mean nothing at all lol So, anyway, see? I did like 1x11 - and actually, thinking of other scenes than the one I mentioned above, I'm realising I might have liked it better than I first thought. Ok, then!
Do we only have two episodes left for this season? Damn. Two episodes and we have no Supernatural and no Dollhouse anymore, how sad! I'm looking forward to the Glee premiere but apart from that, it feels like I won't have any show to watch omg! What is supposed to air in the next month/s? Or is it a sign I just should catch up with those other shows I've been downloading but not watched... or worse, yet, that I've been meaning to download but haven't? Ahem.
Oh! Speaking of shows; I've received my shiny ST:TOS season 1 box-set yesterday, wheee! It's gonna bring back memories, dude!

Ah, super nouvelle ! ^__^

...yeah, I have no idea where that came from, it just occurred to me while reading your post.
But I definitely don't think he was talking about wanting a drink. ;)

Could be one of those things that they can't control, like how one of Echo's imprints needed glasses and stuff. They needed an awesome doctor who was willing to do the kind of work Saunders does and the attachment was just part of the package.
Oh, I can't wait till tomorrow's ep. :D

I know, this time of year is always sad like that. I hate seeing my shows end. *clings*
Big question of the day: do I watch SPN 4x21 or do I wait till next week, when I'll be able to watch both episodes in a row?
I totally fast forwarded through the majority of it. I couldn't stand not knowing what happens, but I don't think I'll be able to really properly watch it till it's all over.

And have you heard, we'll get a season 2! Apparently Fox decided not to be dumb and renewed the show \o/
I haven't watched either SPN yet - I was supposed to watch both episodes with the FP tonight, except I'm not feelin well so I think I'm gonna stay in. Well, I'll just watch them on my own. And probably cry alone?

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. *hugs*
As for SPN...the first part is definitely a tearjerker so tissues are probably are a good idea. ;) Looking forward to seeing what you have to say about it. :)

Thanks, it's your usual bad time of the month. Two days of pain and then it's over. It does suck though *glares*
Looking forward to seeing what you have to say about it. :)
Funny you'd say that because I really meant to just flail a little and then I started writing and writing and in the end I wrote this big-ass review. Well, that's SPN for you :-)

In other news I thought the guy who plays Victor was fabulous as Dominic. He's probably the actor that's impressed me the most in the whole show.

Oh, yes, he was just fantastic! Victor's character was the great surprise of the show for me. I love him so much! Same thing with Mellie.

Viiiiiiiktor. I hope he's in the next season, he's freakin' awesome! (and I hope Miracle is back, she's fabulous and gorgeous)

I didn't notice the Whisky thing, but there's something else I've noticed: Alpha asked her if she'd always wanted to be a doctor, and when she said yes he said she was lying. Why would he ask her that in the first place? I don't think the question was totally random.
Maybe they've imprinted her to be a doctor. Maybe they did it after Alpha disfigured her, since they couldn't use her as a doll anymore?
And what are they gonna do with Victor, btw?
So many questions!!! :D
And I really loved the actor who plays Victor when he's being Dominic. He was awesome!

I'm so worried about Victor now! I apparently already lost Mellie, I can't lose Victor as well!!
