What a gorgeous day today was! Nice temperature (seriously, 11°C?? Wtf), clear blue skies without a single cloud in sight - twas the kind of day that invites you to go out and have a stroll. Or, say, that's what we could have done. Instead, we chose to start the day with some shopping - the sales started on Wednesday. It was a complete success! We went early enough that the shopping centrer was far from being crowded and found nice stuff. As far as my loot is concerned, I found a skirt, a pair of boots, a turtleneck and a scarf. As well as a set of pretty table placemats and napkins. Less glamourous than the rest of the loot but still pretty and useful :-)

And then, we got home and instead of finally taking advantage of the beautiful weather, we made ourselves comfortable and then mainlined Misfits series 2 - we're still at it, as a matter of fact. Omg. Ok, so I thought I loved the show after series 1, right? It was nothing compared to series 2. It is so good! When the reveal about Mysterious Hoodie Dude's identity happened, I squeed so loud! I was soooo hoping it was Simon! I had the feeling it was (with totally valid reasons apart from 'how cool would it be if it turned out to be him??') and lo, I was right \o/ HOW AWESOME IS/WAS FUTURE!SIMON?? Cryptic and mysterious, but so confident and kick-ass and sexy! Our!Simon has been my favourite from the beginning and with that new twist, my love for him turned epic :-)

The whole Alisha/Simon development certainly took me by surprise, I hadn't seen that one coming! It was touching and twisted and cute and different and so damn hot too! Who would have thought? It came out of left field and didn't make sense and yet it worked for me. Now I'm curious to see how Alisha is going to handle the whole thing.

The thing with Nathan and him seeing ghosts was a complete surprise too. I hadn't seen it coming either. It was sad that Jamie died... they were so cute together. The whole episode was really good, what with Nathan's daddy issues... which is totally a kink of mine.

We're starting 2x05 the Christmas Special now, so no spoilers if you're reading this and have watched all of it. And Curtis saves the day!! Thank you, Curtis! You might not always control your powers the way you want to but you're always there when you're needed, GO YOU! ♥

I really didn't like seeing them dead! Even though I knew they wouldn't stay that way, it just hurt. Don't do that again, ok, guys?

And that moment when Simon leaves the hotel room after covering Alisha's body and he's all Intent and Focused and Bad Ass and he puts his hoodie up before making himself invisible without effort? L.O.V.E!

Can we find icons? There's one I would love to have, except I know I couldn't use it on an entry because it's 100% spoilery. But having it would make me so happy *sigh* Oh, Misfits, what a fantastic surprise you turned out to be ♥

[ETA: Did the US already decide to steal make a remake of Misfits? Since they seem to be incapable of just importing foreign shows/films. Cause between all the sex, the un-PCness, the swearing, the inappropriateness of Misfits, the US PTB would have to cut, like, half of every episode? lol If they do their things, it'll become sanitised and glamourous and PC and, well, just completely different. As usual with their remakes, mind.]

Or what about that other scene at the beginning of the episode, with the unwed, pregnant teenage girl having sex with the teenage boy who knocked up? In semi-public, and doggie style? Not bad either ;-)
