France won! Dammit that was so fucking close and so bloody stressful! And this has nothing to do with anything but Lee made us laugh - we didn't realise people actually needed sunglasses in the gymnasium [/sarcasm] Unless they are regular glasses tainted in blue only, of course. That would be a first in this sport because contact lenses are easier but hey why not.

Anyway, they were quite good and I honestly worried we wouldn't win and really, lose against the US in sabre of all sports? No.way! Imagine the level of 'stress' when Damien Touya hurt his hand right before the very last point. It wasn't Smart's fault though, the risks of the sport, but damn, that was tough all right *chews lower lip in remembrance*

But then, Damien decided to come back to make the last point and we won - woohoo!

We'll have a beautiful final now : Italia vs France. That's what Gian-Lu' and I wanted, so we're happy campers *g*

Yeah okay *cough*

Back to LJ land now *g* I'm still reading the comments sent for my last post, and seriously? Those comments are practically as hot as any actual fics, pfew - you're good, all of you. Not that I had any doubt, mind you *eg* Methinks I should ask questions like on a regular basis, because those threads? Are the best *licks lips*

On a different note, only not totally since I'm going back to Jack/Daniel in a way : I went to the mall yesterday night with The Esu and I decided I needed some err Happy therapy, so know what? I bought two SG S7 box sets *beaming* The first and the third one, they have my favourite episodes and even though I received some money from the state --long story and I don't know all the equivalent in English, so you'll be spared the details-- I didn't want to spend everything thank you very much, so the last one will be for another day *nod*

I also let the fancy box set on the shelf because re : what I just said. I'm so happy with my last purchase - S7! Season7!Daniel is too good for words, and it's been some time since I last bought SG DVDs anyway, so there *g*

Hey, I saw that the Slash Advent Calendar is already taking submissions? Man I'm torn :

On one hand :

- I suck at deadlines.
- I suck at challenges.
- The fic I wrote for last year's SAC is the worst story I've ever written, as in I disliked it so much that I never even archived it at my site - and considering I'm not one of those writers who always diss their work, you can trust me on that one.
- I didn't like the idea of the 4152 passwords that were decided for the SAC archive.

On the other hand :

- Maybe I should try to de-traumatise myself concerning this challenge and actually write something good in order to make me forget about last year's fiasco?

Yeah, I'm still not convinced as you can see lol

And to end this post on a 100% random note. I saw the preview for next week's Without a Trace and I saw Christopher Gorham, aka Jake Foley in Jake 2.0. I love me some nice guest stars *g*

That's all *waves* Aren't you glad lol

Bwahaha.. You know what ?
Yesterday I went to the FNAC... And of course I saw the box set in display... And my first thought (I mean pavlovian response, here) was : I bet Mouse'll buy them as soon as she sees them ! ::giggles like an idiot::
You're SO predictable !

And about the sabre... Jeezus, they always manage to keep us on the edge of our seats ! Why can't they win hands down for once !!! I hate them : I just lost three years out of my life expectancy !

You should ask more questions. I had great fun thinking of my answer, not that it took long ;)

Also, join the challenge! I can't be the only one without any willpower for challenges. JOIN! You know you want to *g*

Hey! You French have your off moments, where the world wonders why your doing something strange too...we can't help we American have more of those moments *blush* But seriously I think they were wearing glasses in honor of a friend, or atleast thats what someone told me.

Anyways I say do it, and if it turns out bad you can always hide it away in a cubored that never sees the light of day.

I'm so predictable indeed, but that story of yours was so sweet too! lol

Oh boy tell me about it! I really feared at one point, thank God they did it, but wow it was too close for comfort! And now I'm watching the final *crosses fingers*

I'll definitely think about it. I mean it's both awfully fun and really interesting too - and in this case, it was definitely hot as well lol

The thing is, I'm pretty sure I don't want to - then again, I should try to demystify this challenge. We'll see *g*

Go here (http://www.kardasi.com/Advent/2004/index.htm) to find everything you want to know.

Also, the girl doing it is on LJ too, I don't remember her name though, sorry.

That was the semi-final for men's team sabre *g* They're playing against Italy right now - we'll have one more medal tonight, gold or silver *crosses fingers for gold even though they didn't start that well*

Don't worry, we sure have our moments too, definitely - hey, I'm French, I would know lol It just happens it was your turn *eg* If they did it for a friend, then why only Lee had them? But hey, that would be a nice reason *nodnod*

You'll make me do it, yet!

Btw, don't you have a pseudo or something? Or should I keep on calling you Stranger? It has a nice ring to it, mind you. Though I'm not implying you'll delurk again, of course lol I'm curious I guess *g*

Ooooooh sabre, awesome! I haven't been able to watch any fencing (that's the only sport I care about in the Olympics this time =P) because I don't have cable...But my coach is going to put together a DVD of all these different competitions, including the Olympics, and I'm getting a copy! Yay!

Are you a fencer?

From: [identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com
Are you a fencer yourself, then? And you should enjoy it once you'll get the DVD, I know I do and I'm not even one myself. My cousin is though, pretty talented too since he's playing in national competitions - in Italy though and junior for now, but maybe one day we'll see him in the Olympics? lol

LOL hmm Strange dose have a nice ring to it...but it's a little to common, and I'm anything but common. My names Aireonna but everone calls me Anna (the a sounds more like a o, so think Anna with a Grman accent) so you can call me either, i'll try to remember to sign my messages.

Oh well, I mailny wacth the summer for the swiming and diving, so I don't really pay attention to much else...just the medeals.

Aireonna

That is too cool! I probably could get up to that level, but I don't have enough motivation to become in shape and all that stuff. ^_^

Aireonna is an original and beautiful name, even if not easy to remember the first time lol Nice to meet you, then *g*

We focus on swimming, fencing, canoening and judo in particular over here - and as far as judo goes, we really suck this year, I don't know why *sigh*

Re: the medals - you went ahead in the ranking apparently, right before China which was leading so far *g*

Weird, I just saw another listing and US are apparently still second. Oh anyway, you still have lots of medals lol

*blush* my mother has a knack for odd/original names, but I'm lucky I wasn't my sister who is sadly named Kilarea *shakes head* my mother is just really odd.

Well I like it all, and watch it all but I'm mainly interested in the swimming and diving because I compete...no where near that level though, I can only dream.

Yeah but when all is said and done I think China is going to end up with the most gold medals, there great this year.

We have the most all together but China has the most gold.

*nod* I knew that and that's why it's weird, in the list I first mentioned, US were ahead overall, as in winning thanks to the points not the medals.

I'll have to check the site again since it was supposed to be an official one - though they may have been late or something, so it would explain the 'error'.

My real name is unusual too, but granted I never use it on-line. My mom saw it in a book when she was 12 and decided to name her first daughter this way - twelve years later I came et voilà lol

People always pronounce it wrong the first time I tell them, which usually annoys me because it's not that difficult, really. It's just that it's not usual and there're two other names which sound almost the same, but still *pout*
