Ohh no no no - someone created a ML against Ben/Michael *gasp* My poor little beloved pairing *puts hands on their eyes so they don't see* Though I guess having a ML dedicated to them, or more exactly a ML dedicated to those who don't like them mean they're part of the big boys crowd - yeah okay, I'll admit, I don't care lol I love this pairing enough for several people, it should balance things *g*

Oh boy, some people should stop having awesome ideas, really! And I'm thinking about spren_cious here. Apparently ship_manifesto wasn't enough, so now she created idol_reflection - it's the ship_manifesto's sister community, but dealing with individual characters this time. I foresee some addiction within the addiction, but I'm used to it, so yay!

Also? I'm definitely tempted to go over and claim a character - but not the one you would think. I'll let Daniel to someone else --and btw, SG isn't represented at all yet, hint hint-- and Blair has already been claimed by rhyo --so looking forward to it, girl-- so I'm just thinking of doing something with one of my other obsessions... but I'll see *g*

Since I'm apparently falling under the spell of lots of communities these days, I apparently also decided to go and play over at anth_mona because I can't get enough of talking about my fandoms *g* Saw several people from my own flist over there - sweet *g*

And I just received a comment notification, so maybe there's still hope for LJ *sigh*

Finally, I'm waiting for my daily SG fix right now, and you know, each time I watch S1 again I realise how much I love those Sam-Daniel scenes. They're awfully cute together. And no, don't panic, I did say Sam-Daniel as opposed to Sam/Daniel, so I'm not turning into a shipper before your eyes... and anyway, puh-lease, we're talking about me lol Besides Daniel belongs to Jack!

Lol, well I offered to do either Blair or Jim and spren picked the first one alphabetically. I could do both, but since I'd prefer to see slightly different takes on the characters, I didn't volunteer to do both - kinda like the way I'd prefer to see the character things *not* done by the person that did the ship_manifesto, just to get the variety.

The ship_manifesto thing has been interesting, from a meta point of view as well as a character point of view. You can see who spent hours angonizing over every word and who dashed it off at the last second pretty easily.

As much as I like Jim - and I really do love him a lot, I still have a preference for Blair, so I'm pretty impatient to see what you came up with. I guess it always amuses me more when the essays are written by people I 'know' because there's a kind of familiarity which makes the reading even sweeter. Well, for me, obviously *g*

I seriously adore ship_manifesto and for so many reasons. You discover new pairings and have some fics rec'ced to you, but what really interests me is to see how people approach their essays and their OTPs. I also like seeing how a same character is seen but in different pairings, how the dynamics change or eventually stay the same, and why. It's just really cool *g*

Oh definitely. I know there's this essay I've been waiting quite impatiently and ended up being disappointed with because it seemeds... a bit too linear to me and not 'passionate' enough in a way. It felt like it was written too quickly. Though I'm not criticising the writer because hey, at least she participated whereas I just read the essays *g* But still, I was a tad disappointed with the result *shrug*

I'm with you on that one, it's beyond me. I think people just love ranting, venting and bitching, and if they can't do it, they'll create new ways to accomplish that - some people apparently aren't happy if they're not showing how unhappy with some subjects they are *shrug*
