Confinement Jour 46 : un peu de douceur...

As I was saying in my last entry (from yesterday! I'm wondering whether I should have deleted it and only kept this one instead, I'm afraid my last post turned out rantier than I meant it to be...) today is May, 1st. How crazy is that? So as you'll know if you've been around this LJ for a long time now, it's tradition in France to offer lilies of the valley on May, 1st to family and friends for good luck. I'm sure we'll all agree that we most certainly need all the good luck we can get these days.

First time in however long I can remember that we won't have lilies of the valley in the house. Odd times.
May, 1st also means bank holiday and as it falls on a Friday this year, it means I'll be enjoying a three-day weekend. Lovely! The weekend should be both chill and productive. Perfect combo, I think.
Let's see, there are the things I've already planned to do like the little apéro we'll enjoy with my parents, sister and nieces later on today, then afternoon tea with the FP tomorrow. Both online, obviously. For our Baking Sunday Cookie is planning on making a financier and I an île flottante (floating island, I believe?). Oh! Did I ever share with you the pictures of my last Baking Sunday? I made red beans ice cream and Dorayaki from scratch. I had a blast while doing so and the result was pretty good, if I may say so myself, I was thrilled. We found ourselves a Japanese Starbucks background to cast on our tv screen and pretended we were back in Tokyo. Fun times ;)
In addition, there are the things I'd like to do like watch some tv (either/or a new show or an oldie) and read a good chunk of the new book I've picked up (Victory of Eagles by Naomi Novik, it's been ages since I read a Temeraire novel! I also think it's the perfect choice for a grey and rainy weekend). I'm hoping we'll play a little Trivial game or two (or three!) as well. Then there are the things I kinda have to do mainly study German as I'm now one lesson behind! Oops! We'd also like to start sorting out the cellar but I'm undecided as to which category I'm listing that one ;)
So far I've had my breakfast (I felt like having something to eat with my tea so I had scones... again, perfect choice for that type of weather, imho), done my Yoga session, showered. I'm now posting this and then I'll nest in my blanket and read for a little while before our apéro. Perfect start of my day and my weekend :)
PS: I'd started listing the shows that I've been watching, finished (have you watched the season finale of Prodigal Son? How brilliant was it?) or plan to watch (either for the first time or as a rewatch) but I deleted the paragraph by accident and I realised that i'd done it too late to be able to retrieve it (Ctrl-Z can only go so far), argh! This will have to wait for another time ;)
