I'm watching the news --which I almost never do-- and they're talking about the case of a child who has been tortured to *death* by his *parents* during several days! The police found his little body tied to the bed!

I don't even know what to say. I'm just disgusted and appalled at what some so-called human beings are able to do! And we're talking about their own *child* here!

And some people wonder why I never watch the news?

I know, I know. Sometimes I really like to feel on top of things, and know what's going on in the world.

Then I *watch* the news, and see all the terrible things human beings inflict on each other (not to mention other creatures, and the planet) and it just boggles my mind that humans have such capacity for loveliness, and yet still have such capacity for cruelty.

honey, we've been through this: get away from the fucking television! geez, watch a good healthy movie (Battle Royale for instance) but stay away from the news! Especially today when it's going to be misery chick all the way because it's September 11th (Jesus Christ Almighty, I heard Bush as I was waking up - now my day is fucked I'm afraid!) I'm not even interested in the news. I guess this isn't really smart, but I don't really care. I know about the most important events because I hear about them anyway, but usually the news only deal with the worst of humankind, so thanks but no thanks.

Of course, it doesn't mean I *never* watch the news, but I swear each time, it's the same thing *sigh*

I know, I know, but sometimes I can't help it *sigh* Oh and today, I think I'm going to avoid watching the news altogether indeed. I'll also avoid watching tonight's programs. I'll just watch some DVDs, and then it'll be "John Doe" for me *g*
