We use math everyday.

No, it's true! Look: if a is the number of Angel episodes S5 I have to see, b the number of Lost episodes I just received, c the number of Numb3rs episodes I need to catch up with, d the number of Gankutsuou episodes I have to try, e the number of episodes of Hornblower I have yet to discover and if 24 is how many hours there are in a day, I can calculate that I won't have enough time to watch everything I want by the end of today, and go even as far as say that I don't know when I'll finish watching everything... even if I subtract, say, x which would be the sum of everything else I do in RL. Isn't it just grand? I mean, that I have all those shiny episodes just for me *cling*

So yes, [livejournal.com profile] crazybutsound your parcel arrived today and wow, it looks like a real DVD and everything, it's so classy! And the gift for Clark was highly appreciated, too lol We have no idea of who most of those artists are but we'll have a blast going through the CD, I couldn't believe how many files there were! Thanks a lot. And [livejournal.com profile] cygny? Yours arrived as well. I couldn't resist and had to put the first episode on and er, I arrived late at school as a result *facepalm* So I'd say my first impression was of the good lol Thank you! Will certainly ramble about Horatio and Archie and Co later, once I'll watch the two episodes I have *g* And thanks also for the CD, I've missed my City Hunter soundtrack so much and now I have it back, yay! *kisses you both*

Hornblower finally lost its Urban Legend status - it's real, I saw it!

Speaking of discovery - [livejournal.com profile] seiyuu brings me goodies on a regular basis but this week's found is a true gem. Technically, I already knew Sakamoto Maaya since I'm a fan of Escaflowne, but now I know more of her work and I'm seriously in love with that artist. And because you need to share The Pretty, I picked three songs out of the little list I have *g*

Light of Love
Getsuyou no Asa
Kiseki no Umi

For reference --and if you know that artist, of course-- Sakamoto Maaya reminds me a lot of Arai Akino.

PS: "Lifeboat" was on today and I love that episode but it never fails to make me cry in the end *cries*

Yay! You finally got it! See, the post office messed up for two reasons. First they had some kind of strike/sickness kinda shortage in people working there (they wouldn't tell me exactly), and second, when I went to send the packages, the girl at the desk couldn't print out the stamp things but wrote down in pencil the amount they needed to have, and promised me she'd get to it ASAP when they got her more stamps thingies to print on. So I don't know which made it later than the other. Did my packages stay there for days without a stamp? Did they get stamped and then were left to wait for whoever usually works there to come back to work? I dunno. All I know is I filed a complaint a few days ago and oh, look! My packages finally arrived! Grrrrrrrrrrr...

I'm just glad it made it intact, though. Good thing there was no food in the packages, lol.

And yeah, I know, a DVD holds sooooo much music. :-) So I thought it might be fun for you to have a huge pile of random stuff to look into. ;-) Enjoy darling!

This little package went through a lot of adventure before making it home *pets it* But yeah, it made it safe and sound *g*

Clark and I will both enjoy it, promise lol

Did you get my two e-mails? I sent them to your GMail address :>

Much <3 for your use of math :D

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2005-03-21 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I just checked and yeap, they're here - thanks *g* Am in downloading process atm. Also, I seldom use/check my gmail account - only when I need to send/receive heavy files, so for your regular mails, just use my normal one, all right? *g*

And thanks. I can do difficult equations as well, ah!

Understood, ma'am! *salutes*

I just thought you'd see it when you checked the email for the one with the slightly big attachment. (Or had you forgotten about that one? ;-)

Hope it works, and if you want to know something about the characters and I happen to know (I'm a newbie at comics too, but it's the LJ osmosis at work...) don't hesitate to ask.

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2005-03-21 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I hadn't forgotten, promise lol It was just in case you wanted to mail me and suddenly used the gmail account - not a good move *g*

Should I need help, I know where to find you *salutes back* And LJ Osmosis, man, I know the feeling. It always makes me smile when it happens - how you'll surprise yourself with a knowledge you never thought you would have. Wicked.

PS: Lifeboat was on today and I love that episode but it always makes me want to cry in the end *cries*

I read Love Boat and started wondering why an episode of this series would make you cry… *headdesks*
That’s it, I’m going to bed!

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2005-03-21 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL I'm the sensitive kind when I watch TV, but I don't think a single episode of Love Boat ever made me cry *g*

You may be more tired than what you thought lol

Oh my God, OH MY GOD !!!! KISEKI NO UMI !!!! And in a karaoke version !!!! (although I'm not sure that version is the one you wanted to send :p)
I absolutely love this song ! The singer's fantasctic voice (well, in the original version), the haunting rythm... I used to sing it all the time in karaokes ! I'm SO glad you posted this, and just the day I can finally come back to you after a horrible, horrible week !

I lost so many songs when my 2 hard drives died, Kiseki no Umi was among them.

Thank you a LOT for posting this, I've already sung it three time since I downloaded it, my neighboors will probably complain but it's been such a long time I really don't give a damn !

PS : I'm addicted to N3mbers ! I also have you to thank for that. :)

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2005-03-21 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I have three songs which are more vocals than anything, but I love this version anyway, there's something... etheral about it. Do you know Arai Akino? She reminds me a lot of her, and I'm a fan of Arai Akino, so yeah, big compliment *g* Do you want more Sakamoto Maaya files, then?

And you're welcome, of course. Also, sorry to hear about the horrible, horrible week, but I'm glad for my good timing *g*

YAY! I think you're the fifth person I got addicted to Numb3rs. Man, I'm so good! lol Welcome to the club *g*

[identity profile] catiadoodle.livejournal.com 2005-03-21 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know Arai Akino. Does she sing anime too ? I only know Sakamoto Maaya from Lodoss Wars, and I even didn't know her name or any other of her songs until your post.

The only Arai I know is Arai Yumi (maiden name of Matsutouya Yumi, one of my favorites Japanese singers. She's still famous but was most known in the 80' I think.

Re. Numb3rs, I really like the atmosphere of the show, and the characters too of course. Modesty is a quality I especially appreciate in a person, so you can guess I love Charlie !
I've never heard of Horatio Hornblower, but I can't even try to download it, my HD is full and the DVDs I bought don't seem to work... I can't burn ! Life has no mercy, I'm telling ya.

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2005-03-21 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know Arai Akino. Does she sing anime too?

She certainly does. The one CD I have of her has songs from my favourite anime ever, namely Please, Save my Earth. She also performed a couple of songs from one Macross OVA. I adore that singer *g*

so you can guess I love Charlie!

You and me both, Catia, you and me both lol

I have some DVDs to burn for some friends on the flist and I wouldn't mind burning my Horation Hornblower episodes for you if I can. Thing is, I won't do it now cause I can't burn DVDs at home and I have to emigrate to do so, so it usually takes more time. But if you're willing to wait, I'll add this DVD to the list *g*

[identity profile] catiadoodle.livejournal.com 2005-03-21 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooooh, Please save my Earth ! I loved this anime. I remember watching it with a half Japanese friend who translated orally the episodes for us. Fan sub didn't exist at that time. It was... Wow, 12 years ago. It's one of the few anime I found actually way better than the original manga it was based upon. I remember liking the songs too. Slow and quite haunting too.

Wow, thanks for the offer ! And I can't even return it with Desperate Housewives episodes since I can't burn right now... T_T

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2005-03-22 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
I was lucky to have found that anime when it was already officially subbed and everything - dubbed even, though I never watch anime in French, so yeah. I now have the DVDs and I could let my tapes rest in peace lol

No worries, a friend on the flist offered to burn 15 episodes for me *g*

Oh man, it's too late for maths talk *g*

So I'll just say it's so cool to see the beginning of your Hornblower obsession ;)

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2005-03-24 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
I know I said I was heading to bed. Well, in a minute. Or two *cough*

Eek you're right... it was Teh Beginning, it's so moving!
