New LWLDAANAAPAC Movt

Well, LJ is usually annoyingly slow on the weekends because no one updates enough to entertain me but huh, that was different, alright. I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of fangirls suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced... no, I did!

Oh btw... while we weren't even looking naeara and I created a new SG movement. I commented at Nos' LJ about how I loved Daniel not because I thought he was a Saint and Oh So Very Perfect and Could Do No Wrong like the fans of the Saint Daniel Jackson persuasion believe, but because he was, to make a long story short, a whiny little bitch : brilliant and endearing and dedicated but also obnoxious and arrogant and stubborn - and just, you know, not perfect and shit, just human. And we love all those sides of him.

As a result - the improbable LookweloveDanielandarenotatallpsychoandcreepy!movement aka as LWLDAANAAPAC Movt was born. Aren't you so in awe of the name we gave it? Hmm, well maybe you aren't *ponder* But know what? Now that I think of it, maybe we should call it the Whiny Little Bitch Mvt aka WLB Mvt... Damn, where did I put my Whiny Little Bitch Daniel icon now? *sigh*

Yeah, never let two fangirls have too much fun on someone's else LJ, or they could create weird shit like that lol But hey, everyone knows that SG fandom is actually a synonym for SG martyrdom, right? And if you love Daniel, you're usually immediately seen as a sort of fanatic Saint Daniel Jackson person and it's not fair, so there!

Can you tell I'm getting seriously fed up with studying? lol

Anyway...

Seriously I could care less on a good day, because... well, because I usually don't care about other opinion's concerning what I like and stuff, you know? But it had to be said because eeeeeek, you should have seen some of the mean things that were said about Daniel fans lol

I know, seems if you like Daniel it means it's impossible to like Sam *rolls eyes* Or if you don't see J/S it's only because you're a J/D slasher - and no matter you were into SG and not seeing that so-called ship before you were a slasher. You too lol And you know, this Blackout couldn't have come at a better time since these days I really surf only in the evenings, using my days to study, so LJ disappearing on us was totally bearable because... I wasn't really there to see it lol I missed it last night, but I had other stuff to do, ie I had all my shows to watch so it wasn't that difficult, after all.

Yay, look at all the people joining our little mvt. I think Whiny Little Bitch Movt is a great substitute. I know the other is our mission statement and all but it is a little difficult to read. *g*

So, now that we have spies...what should we do with this movement? Let it exist on its own and add 'WLB Mvt' to our interests? Create a community? Never be allowed out of our own LJs because look at what we got ourselves into? ;)

Personally, I'm just sick of not being able to say something positive about Daniel, or bitch about something stupid the writers did, without being accused of seeing him as 'Saint Daniel'. If I never see 'Saint Daniel' again, I could die happy.

For the record, I find the movements to turn Daniel into some pissy, whiny, arrogant, dick just as annoying as the Saint Daniel movement, because they're no more true to the character. Each movement just focuses on one aspect of his personality and blows it out of proportion. I love and adore Daniel when he's being pissy, but I equally love it when he's being, for lack of a better word, good. Is there a movement for that?

While it has a nice enough purpose -- recognizing that Daniel is not all sweetness and light -- all it usually accomplishes is to warp him into some kind of mouthy asshole. Most fanfic to come out of that movement (MOST, not all) has a Daniel who swears like a sailor, shows little respect for anyone, and generally acts like a tit.
