Folked once more!
Hee QAF 501-502 finally downloaded and I finally watched it and yay!
So. QAF review in one-liners. Because I'm sorta busy and I have a headache and I want to prove to myself that I can do short and concise.
First the opening credits? Still rock my world like nothing else. It's the best opening ever.
#1- Before I forget. Gus. He spoke! He fucking spoke! And not just one line, no, several of them. Wow.
#2- The comic sequences? Were quite original. As was the first Brian-Michael dancing scene with the freezing scene and the freezing sparkle thing which Michael and Brian touched - nice touch.
#3- I never ever thought I would say this one day but Brian? Was sad - not in a sad-sad kinda way but almost in a pathetic-sad kinda way and just... how did that happen? Can't say I liked it. And sometimes, I forgot about him! He seemed really absent to me - it was so odd. So when Justin came home and they were reunited, well I was quite happy because I didn't enjoy Brian until that moment, so thank you Justin - which actually, this whole I-loved-their-reunion thing? Was quite the shocker too because Brian/Justin thing never did a thing for me. But this time it worked - we'll see how long that lasts *snicker*
#3b- I felt sorry for Justin too - well, Justin and Michael obviously. But well, I guess they couldn't have Justin in L.A all season long, right?
#4- Ben/Michael on the other hand still rocks my world - like in the previous seasons. I so fucking love them *bounce* It's like domesticity kink all around - they're so sweet together, and sexy too cause, like.. I don't know, it just works for me. I LOVE BEN/MICHAEL omg! I truly can't get enough of them together *happy sigh*
#5- Though hey I smiled when they were prowling the street of the new gay neighborhood cause I had a flashback of that show they liked so much, that gay soap.. man, what was its name again? Gay as blaze, gay something? Anyway, it made me smile but I kinda like the idea of Ben and Michael moving in a house so why not over there?
#6- The whole Mel-Michael-Linds thing now... it's like you can everyone's side of the story but just... though I usually like Mel, she did annoy me because it feels like she's intent onf becoming a martyr and this annoyed me, all right. And I don't even think she's doing a favour to single parents with her behaviour anyway because see, single parents usually don't have a choice and yeah, they definitely kick ass and they're definitely brave in raising their kids like they do, alone and without help but Mel has a choice. So if he chooses to throw it all away, it's her decision but it doesn't make me feel any real sympathy towards her, I'm afraid. But anyway, everyone thinks they're behaving for the best and wow talk about a mess. I just don't like how they dismiss Michael like that though. Like he doesn't count because hey, he's just the biological father, after all. And he over-reacted? Well that's what Michael does - and from his POV, he has reasons too. And he definitely wasn't the only one either to over-react, anyway. Yeah, fucking mess, all right *sigh*
#7- Debbie? Drives me crazy. We're not even two episodes into the season and I'm back to my love-hate relationship with her - or make that like-hate, maybe. Why is it that she can rock with Emmett and the others and when it concerns to Michael, she makes me cringe - why does she have to act like that? She took his comment to heart, well yeah, of course - but somehow I didn't take Michael's comment as something directed towards single parents - I don't think he ever showed anything but respect and admiration towards her raising him like she did [though btw? One could argue that Debbie chose not to tell Danny about Michael, so talk about choices, here - though each situation is different, so that's not the point] It was more like he was speaking of Mel and Linds's situation and it's just not the same - and anyway, I really disliked her reaction. It always makes me smile - sorta. I fucking love Hazel but with Debbie, there's this side of her that I can't stand. Sorry, Deb.
#8- They're messing with my beloved Brian-Michael friendship. Don't do that! This is going to be hard - they're going to break my heart with that one *nodnod*
#9- Hee I still love Emmett to death. And I really enjoyed the Carl-Em convo. Man, Em breaks my heart sometimes, but Carl made it all better so yay! Really beautiful scene, that one *g*
#10- And I still love Ted, too. They never give him a break, do they? Poor Ted lol
So yeah. Good start, me happy. And okay, I sorta kinda fail at short and concise. Well, tough. But that's still quite short anyway.
Changing the subject now. So far I couldn't wait to be in July for SG S9 but now I realise I'm quite impatient for another reason, namely
ts_ficathons - 43 participants... 43 slash stories - well minus our own, so let's say 42 - to read. 42! I mean, wow! Christmas will come earlier this year *g* [ETA: Hee it's 49 participants, now! Wow.]
Oh and no Revenge of the Sith tonight after all. Has been postponed until tomorrow. Also, SW is everywhere these days - so I was at the uni today [second exam of the week - woke up at 5.45 am too] and we were like six or seven girls at one point and our topic of discussion? Not the concil of Chalcedone nor any other concile, not Nestorianism or monophysitism either, nope - Star Wars, old trilogy, new trilogy and stuff. Lovely *g*
ETA: I love love love Naono Bohra's work!

Hmm okay so let me think. I tend to mix the Japanese and English titles sometimes but I think I read Yukisaki no Koi, which is my favourite - another one whichtitle I forgot - sadly - but it's the story of a father who lost his wife and he falls in love with this younger guy who's really damaged. A heartbreaking little story which ends up awfully sweet *g* And also Covetous Me, Insensible Me, Kimi ni Sasayaku, Three Wolves Rain [or something like that] and I'm sure I read others I forgot about. I really wish I could buy them, in the meantime, I contend myself with

Hinata! I love that too XD It's in one of Bohra's oneshot collections. I have three of those [Toraware no Mi; Covetous You, Insensible Me and Hohoemi no Nichijyou] and Yubisaki no Koi. I recommend the rest of her works as well, many of which you can find as scanlations from different sites [Shi-Ran (http://shi-ran.cjb.net/) has a lot of them as direct downloads ^^].
[mmm~ New York, New York ♥]

Lucky you *g*
That was Hinata, then? Thanks! That was driving me crazy *g*
Thanks again, I think I'll go and download all the Bohra's files there are on that site *worships*
Also yay New York, New York! Not many people know that series, which is such a shame really *pets series* Also this one is dear to my heart because - you delurked, so now you'll have to suffer from my rambling. Sorry. Kinda *cough* - back then, a couple of years ago only two yaoi had been translated in French. Zetsuai and New York, New York - so when I found those two, it felt like I'd died and gone to heaven. I mean... seeing them translated in French and sold in regular bookstores as well as manga stores was quite a nice step, you know? Now we reached a point where we can get new ones all the time - and if it takes too long, I just buy the English versions. All in all, it's a win-win situation *g*
Of course, the real solution would be that I learn Japanese *takes notes for next year*
