Great day *g*
Nov. 10th, 2003 11:36 pmI had my first class today! Whoo! It was soooooooo interesting, I was in heaven *g* It was on the Greek and Egyptian funerary rituals, the magical conception of said rituals, their different cults, the similarity and differences of their beliefs, the techniques of mummification (sp), their conception of Death, It rocked! Also, I realized I had more knowledge in Greek mythology than most of the students from my class, and it felt so good! lol Suddenly I didn't feel so bad about starting my class so late compared to them *g* Of course, I had more SG moments that I like to count, but really you can't expect me *not* to think of Daniel and SG when your teach' is rambling about Ra, Hathor, Abydos and sarcophagus, or even Tantalus for hours! This class was just brilliant! I'm so happy *schnuzzles class*
Then I met Sandra in Saint-Michel (my favorite neighborhood in Paris) and I bought some of the books I hadn't found the other time : Greek Art, Palaegroaphy... I can't wait to read them *g* Since I was at Saint-Michel, I decided to drag Sandra in one of my favorite manga shops, and I squeed quite loud when I saw they'd *finally* released "Lawful Drugs", 1 & 2- Whoo! *schnuzzles mangas* I also bought the sixth volume of "Tokyo Babylon". Three CLAMP in one day. Nice, uh *g*
Afterward we came home, and she left less than an hour ago. In that time, I made some icons. Yes, you're hearing right, *I* made some icons. Just bases... and non-fannish ones at that! Like this one for instance *points at icon* I'm quite happy about them *g* Or this one *points at icon below*
Wanna see more?
Yes, I guess I was feeling kinda zen-like. Even more than usual, that is *wink*
ETA: Forgot to mention I'm going to see Matrix Revolutions tomorrow with Rissy. Whoo again. Also we were both invited by Juliette for dinner, and since she converted and became Muslim, I'm hoping we'll get to eat some traditional meals for Ramadan *crosses fingers*
