I did a ton of things today, was out of the house for a good part of the morning and afternoon and I still managed to OD on my beloved series. Man, I'm good!

So what did I watch?

Stargate SG-1:
Okay so I was excited about the idea of this new SG-1 and I've been impatient for S9 to premiere for months now, right? Well holy shit Batman, I was not disappointed! I loved it! I'm not kidding. I wasn't even ten minutes into the episode that I already knew I was going to enjoy that new team tremendously! I love Landry - I mean, I'm already loving him a lot. He's not Hammond, he's not Jack and that's exactly how I wanted it, thanks. I don't know how things will turn out, but let's just say that my first impression is 100% positive.

As was my reaction to Cameron. I've never watched Farscape - only know the series because I've heard a lot about it, so I didn't have any pre-conceived idea about Ben Browder. I was excited about the new blood, but I was curious to see how that would work out. Well I saw. And I definitely enjoyed it *g* That character rocks, wow. It's going to be a delight seeing him and the others interact on a weekly basis *bounces*

Something that made me smile is how Cameron was almost an embodiment of the audience, like, the fans usually scream murder if their beloved team is being separated and here was this guy... who felt the same way lol Cameron fanboys SG-1... no, seriously, isn't it the sweetest thing ever?

Daniel now... killed me dead in that episode - in a wonderful way, do I even need to add? *kisses Daniel*

And I found my new favourite Comic Duo! I fell hard for the Vala-Daniel Show - OMG the funny and the cute and the snark! Gimme more. More, I say! The Infirmary reached some new high in the adorableness, I think - and boy did their antics make me laugh. Those two? Are just too good together. Most of my favourite quotes actually come from scenes where they're interacting with each other, but that's hardly surprising with little gems like the ones we heard. [livejournal.com profile] spikedluv posted some quotes from the episode and my favourite has to be:

Cameron: Ladies first.
Vala (to Daniel): Well then, after you.

Though seriously, each time they talked to each other - or about each other - was a root. They cracked me up! Then again, Cameron's quotes were brilliant and funny as well.

Something else that cracked me up was the Interview scene. I mean, it was utterly ridiculous in the sense that we're talking about the SGC not Clows R Us, but it was meant that way so I just went with the flow and seriously, I laughed my ass off during that scene.

The only thing that didn't speak to me were the flashbacks. I mean, I suppose they were meant to make the audience sympathise with Cameron and make him part of the team before he officially was, but they just seemed to come out of nowhere and somehow I didn't exactly care. Cameron interested me right from the moment he entered Landry's office, I didn't need anything else to make me feel close to him or whatnot *g*

So wheeeeeee! Am a happy camper *g* Can't wait for the rest of the season *bounces some more* Will watch the ep again before going to bed, too.

Battlestar Galactica:
Man, I love that series so much! There's such an intensity to it, I'm always impressed by it. It's dark, it's gritty - I mean, it's not Oz-dark but it has its own type of darkness and I can't get enough of it. There's not so many series that have me holding my breath without even realising I'm doing it. It's all because of the pace - it doesn't give you a break. It's so fast your head is spinning - oh and the drums? Still perfect. I don't have anything specific to say about "Scattered" except that I kept falling in love with my favourite characters all over again and it felt good. I'm impatient for "Valley of Darkness" to air now because from the preview, it seems it'll be a crazy ride too *is impatient already*

Lost:
Tonight was "Raised by Another", "All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues" and "Whatever the Case May Be" and it's just wild how much I'm falling for that series all over again *blink* I'm also discovering a new love for some aspects of the show. Like, I'm getting more interested in Sawyer - which baffles me - and even more puzzling is that I found myself getting into the whole Locke-Boone thing. I mean, I'm not supposed to like Sawyer, much less Boone, so what the hell is happening? No, I'm asking!

Also, even though I did know for a fact that no, Charlie did not die in The Big Bad Tree scene, I felt as stressed out as I watched the scene now as I was then... or okay maybe not as much because that first time I really believed for a moment that they'd fucking done it, that they'd picked Charlie to kill off first, but even now, with the knowledge I had of the whole storyline, I was tense and traumatised and all because OMG that scene! It still has the power the kill me dead. I'm so easy *shrug* And btw, I love Rose in "Whatever the Case May Be" - that is all.

Well no, last thing #1. Jim Ellison was in Lost! Kinda. His voice was. Which was weird because Bernard Lanneau usually dubs younger characters than the one he did this time and it was just weird. But I can't even complain about TPTB choice because I worship his voice! I think he's my favourite dubber, right after Emmanuel Curtil, of course *is faithful*

And last thing #2, maybe. I'm still enjoying how the characters speak: "Ca me saoûle" "Ca te tuerait de le lâcher un peu" "nan sérieux" etc etc... sounds real and all.

QAF 511:
The file was pretty bad so it was a little difficult to follow at times but there's still this moment when ZenBen loses it and wow it was a thing of beauty! I mean, I'm against violence and I don't think reverting to it is the way to go but damn... you go, Ben! And anyway, I did understand where he was coming from and seriously, odds are I would have lost it, too. So anyway, that was quite the scene *blink*

Oh and this has nothing to do with the rest but I got my copy of HBP today. The Mom offered it to me, actually, which was the sweetest thing ever *g* I'll read it when I'll read it though, no rush for me. I'm a fan of the books in the sense that I have all of them and enjoyed them a lot, but nothing more, so I'll let the flist go crazy over it... as well as go crazy about the spoilers too. Just from a distance, is all *g*
