My TS tapes were inside - which was nice btw - plus two Oz CDs - which was even nicer - and the infamous Behind Bars book.

Now, I scanned the book, and wanna know the very first chapter I found? Totally by accident, I mean? I'm not kidding -> Chapter 6: "Don't Drop the Soap: Sex in the Slammer" lol

Man, typical. I don't know the book, but the very first chapter I randomly check is actually the one talking about sex in prison and rape! *shakes head*

I'm wondering how you want me to resist stuff like "When you're in prison, another convict or group of cons might try to make a move on you, using fear or violence to force you into sexual submission" or "Some gay prisoners get rich in prison by providing sexual services" or even "Homosexual prisoners may be very popular among their crowd, and this can lead to complications", and did you know that apparently "in some prisons, the hookers can be easily recognized because they wear their pants backward, with the zipper fly on their rear end"? Wow.

Seriously though, this book seems really interesting - like I knew it would. Thanks Aline, I think I'll read it pretty quick *g*

PS: Speaking of parcels. Terri, I think you're the last one now. Everyone else seems to have received theirs. Am I freaking out because you didn't get it yet? No, of course not... not really... or just a teenie weenie bit.

I think you'll like the book -and not only this chapter, lol. It's very interesting, especially things concerning lawyers! And the Oz cds... sigh...

First the good stuff. I was ROTFLMAO at that chapter you found. That's so typical!

Now the bad. I've received neither yours or Jenny's parcels. None of mine have got where they were supposed to go. I hate my Post Office with a vengeance just now :(

It *was* typical, wasn't it? When I looked at the page, and was already planning to post something about it, I thought 'they're not going to believe me when I'll them it *was* totally random' lol

Yeah, our Post Offices must hate us all. Well, at least hate each other cos apparently everyone else is getting our parcels and everything. Also, suddenly, it reminded me of something. Do you remember the time when I sent you a parcel, and your *neighbours* got it? Do you remember whether it was because I wrote the addy wrong or if it was just a coincidence? Cos now, I'm having bad thoughts about other people getting your gifts *pout*

is that non-fiction? i mean i hear all about sex in prison in fics/movies etc and i always wanted to know how much truth there was in it.

i only VAGUELY remember watching a documentary on it years ago. ack.

Oh yes, totally non-fiction, 100% real facts. The book has actually been written by a criminologist *and* an ex-convict. It details life in prison from a very realistic point of view, and it's quite chilling, really. So interesting, but so scary!
