OMG, I just watched the last episode of Oz, and man!

You know, I love Toby, he's my favourite character, but during the last scene with Keller? I wanted to shake him, and yell at him, and then just beg him to stop. That scene? It broke my heart, I swear! It was just heartbreatking - chilling even. And afterward, I felt like crying with him. This is so unfair *sob*

I so LOVE that show, but it's so hard to watch sometimes *sobs again*

Yes, I know what you feel, I think we all felt that. Well maybe we have to remember that

1. Keller set him up, coaxed him into breaking his parole, and took him back inside because he was jealous of Toby having a life;
2. During the previous ep., he tied Toby to a chair, gagged him and played a particularly vicious game with him, bringing shanks to Toby's eyes, threatening him (OK, the shanks were false ones, but Toby didn't know)
3. And he had him kill Schillinger, exchanging the props during the play.

I guess the combination of all this had upset Toby. And I think too that he never thought that Chris could commit suicide.

Yeah, I know. We love Chris no matter why and the fact that he dies in the end is just plain unbearable. And Toby afterwards, during his conversation with SP. OMG, I cried all along.

Any show after this one just looks sweet.

I liked your list. It didn't totally help per se, but it put things under a new perspective, thanks *hiccups*

Theirloveissoshakesperian *sigh* And of course, I'm not referring to the light and amusing of his plays! *re-sigh*

This is the most twisted, the most perverted, the most brilliant show ever! And yeah, just everything would look sweet afterward.

Speaking of which, I meant to ask. What about "The Shield"? The show you mentioned sometime ago? Are you still watching it? Is it still as twisted as you thought when you first started watching it? Yeah, color me curious *g*

Yes, it's twisted and really great. Twisted, cruel, dark, hopeless and the hero is... I can't tell. You can love him then hate him one minute later, he's *real*, complex and all. I love the show. I think the first season is on sale on Amazon.com.

Did you watch last ep. of season 5? That one is comforting. Love and all...

Yes, yes, yes. I went through all the same emotions you did when I watched that. When he called Chris poison, I wanted to throttle him. grrr.

Really want to know? Cos it's not pretty.

Well, let's just say that Keller takes things into hands, and get rid of the whole Aryan Brotherhood, including Vern --through Toby actually-- out of love for said Toby, thinking it'll make him go back to him.

Things don't work out that way though, unfortunately.

There's this huge and so heartbreaking scene when Chris comes back to Toby's pod, and starts to explain how he everything he did was for Toby, and that now, maybe they could go back together... Toby refuses and just throws Chris' confession in his face, even going so far as telling him he's like 'poison', and it's an addiction he doesn't want anymore. Then, there's this sorta misunderstanding between the two, Chris trying to kiss Toby by force... words are exchanged, they're starting to get physical, and it happens-- Chris falls over the railboard... and dies.

Of course Toby still loved him, and you can tell how broken he is.

Oh man, the last episode was just heartbreaking! *sob*

Oh, and when Keller got rid of the Nazis, he used a gaz to do it, which means they had to evacuate Oz. So, the last scene is an totally empty Em City. We just don't know whether they'll open it again or not.

Really tragic and powerful ending, if you ask me.

Tell me about it! I already put that episode, or more precisely that scene into the Case-of-Uber-Denial part of my mind. It just never happened.

I also immediately re-read "Covert Operation" which is one of my most favorite Oz fics of all time.

I felt better after that.

What never happened? I'm afraid I don't know where you're talking about. Nuh-uh. I never read an LJ comment with a horrible description of an "Oz" episode THAT DOES NOT ACTUALLY EXIST.

see? it's working!
