Mar. 27th, 2004 06:41 amIt's just past 6.00a.m. I think my parents' plane took off by now.
I can't believe they'll be in Egypt today! I can't believe my mom is going to have her dream fulfilled by the end of the morning! I think we all were as excited as her about the trip, I swear! lol
I mean, she'll turn fifty on the 29th, and she'll get to celebrate her birthday in Egypt, the place she's been dreaming of visiting since she was twelve years old. Can you imagine that?
Each year, she's been hoping we could go there, and each year, she had to accept the fact that it was just too expensive... until the day my grand-father decided to realize his two children's dreams, and paid them the trip of their life *g My godfather turned fifty last year, and this year, it was my mom's turn. And since my grand-father is one of the most generous man on Earth, he also paid for a ticket for the 'spouses' *g* Et voilà, my parents (and a cousin of mine who joined them, btw *g*) are on their way to Egypt right at the moment we speak *g* For a cruise on the Nile, no less *impressed* My sister and I will check their program each day to follow their visits - it'll be like we're there with them lol
I could cry of joy for my mom, really *hugs self* I also hope everything will go well *crosses fingers*

Date: 2004-03-27 03:44 am (UTC)She did lots of others, from Oz to DS passing by QaF. This kind of icons is too funny for words *g*
Will you do yours, then? I'd like to see how you'll create your own avatars, if they'll be slightly different or pretty much the same *g*
Also, in the original icon, Jack didn't had this look. He had big doe eyes that made me look (in my eyes I mean) so very clueless, and I can't stand him when he does his clueless act, so I asked her to give him a more serious and meaner look, et voilà lol

Date: 2004-03-27 06:52 am (UTC)(oh, and when I had done them, I hadn't discovered the accessories yet, so there's a lot of glassless Daniel - as I like him best, if I am to be honest :D)
Jack is more difficult to do, they don't have his haircut or his grin and one has to approximate :D

Date: 2004-03-27 12:05 am (UTC)Do you remember Georges Perec? He wrote something called "50 things I'd like to do before I die" (well, in French). What are your 50 things? beside going to Prague I mean :)

Do you mean what are literally my fifty things? Or just some of them? *g*
