Don't think that I'm going to bore you all to death with new updates on my parents' trip every day --although I could, this LJ being mine blah blah blah - but they just called, so... *g*

They're in Louxor right now, and were calling from the boat. The joy in my mom's voice was beautiful to hear, I couldn't help smiling like crazy myself! lol She told me it looked like they were in Death on the Nile, you know, Agatha Christie's Novel? Dad, Martine and her will start some visits today *happy sigh*

Back to our regular program now *g* I'm meeting Sandra today, and we'll go to the mall - I know, how original. Since I got the money my mom "owed" me, read the money she so generously gave me for having my B.A lol I might be in possession of a Buffy DVD boxset by the end of the day *bouncing*

Also, remember the ventilator from hell? Well... it's about to die on me. We're going to try and fix it today, or in the days to come, but should I disappear from LJ, well, you'll know the reason *sigh*

Mom in Egypt fulfilling a lifelong dream, me getting Andrew on DVD- wow, it's a good day a la Casa del Mouse lol

And speaking of Andrew... OMG! *clears throat* My obsession there is Spike/Andrew right? Well I got a rec the other day that I just read, Knocking on Heaven's Door (http://www.estepheia.com/Knocking.htm). Spike is on top at one point! As in he rides Andrew! Woo hoo! I really liked this one. I was not expecting that.

Your parents are in Egypt? I hate them. Not really, but Egypt is my dream place. I visited once when I was 7, and I fell in love. I want to be an Egyptologist when I grow up, more.

Yes, they are. As from this morning *g* If it can make you feel better, my mom has been dreaming of going there since she was twelve years old, and got to go for her fiftieth birthday (she'll turn 50 on Monday). I mean, she took her time, but she finally went there. It's pretty moving- well, for us, of course lol

And you've already been there? Man, you're so lucky *g* You were really young, but apparently it did make a big impression on you *g*

Oh yeah, it really did. My dad was giving a talk there, and the drug company kindly paid for myself and my mother to accompany him. It rocked, hardcore.

So, the places they're going to. I finally found their program, it was playing hide and seek with me.

Louxor, Esna, Edfou, Kom Ombo, Assouan, Abou Simel, and they'll stay a couple of days in Cairo.
