Random Spam

I sometimes write random posts, but somehow this one is going to be a 100% random spam - you were warned.

- You know, with the life I have, I consider myself a happy person. I'm happy because I know how lucky I am, it's that simple - now, that being said, I'm not always content with what I do with said life or with the situations that are sometimes thrown at me/us and things can be tough or just downright sad - case in point, I've been quite upset in the past couple of months since we heard about The News and with everything that happened afterward. Well today wasn't the case. Today has been so fucking good! Pretty tiring because we didn't stop for a minute, but bloody good all the same. I mean, I knew having my granddad back at his place would be great, but it was so much better! It's a bit weird because it wasn't the first time he'd -or my other grand-parents when they were alive - stayed at the hospital for some time but it was just different. Though it's not that weird when I think of it - the situation is different than before, so that's why. Anyway, it was just a great day *g* And when I say we didn't stop for a minute, I'm exaggerating a bit because at 5.50 pm my sis and I took a break to watch SG, but before that we were all busy bees *g*

- With all the gardening we did today, it'll be a miracle if I can move my back or my neck tomorrow. It was for the good cause but damn, my back is already hating me right now *shakes head... reeeeeeal slow*

- Happy Birthday to rhyo - hope you had a wonderful day, you sure deserve it *g*

- Are we the 21st yet, are we are we? *bouncing* I'm so going to jump on the first SW DVD box set I'll see on that day. I'm just sayin'.

- I found a wonderful site the other day where I found the names of tons of actors who dub my favourite characters in the French version of - obviously - my favourite shows. I already knew the name of my favourite 'voices' but I was able to find way more, and it was really cool.

- I thought Rosh Hashanah was on the 16th but I saw several people mention it was today? So when is it exactly?

- I knew CJ and MS had both played in an episode (well two for MS apparently) of Andromeda, but I didn't know it was in the same episode, how cool is that? And how sad that I never saw it? Also, did MS play the same character in the two episodes he guest starred in?

- Oh and I almost forgot. Finally found a real file of Maroon 5's This Love which made me a happy camper because I love-love-love that song.

- And and and I finally found a DVD R2 of Fried Green Tomatoes and I almost cried because man this is one of my favourite movies ever! [/drama queen] And they never released it in France - only VHS or R1 - and when I tried it at amazon.uk and found the R2 it was like a miracle! I also got myself Demon Diary V1 while I was there *g*

I'm so happy for you and your family! I'm glad your grandfather is doing well and that he's home. *hugs* Did you know that MS also stared in an entire episode of "The Outer Limits"? I think it was called Manifest Destiny. Moi, j'adore aussi "This Love"! I tried to download that song earlier this summer but my computer got all screwed up so I gave up on that very quickly.

Oh yeah I know - I remember watching it like four years ago, but I definitely remember it lol He also played in an episode of Highlander though it was in a flashback so I guess we didn't get to see him that much?

Actually, he had the main guest-starring role, so he was in several key scenes. Yes, some were flashbacks, but some were present time. It was a nice, meaty role, but he didn't come out alive. Can't think of the title right now; I'll look it up when I get home.

Ah ah, that suddenly sounds more interesting *g* I don't remember watching the episode he played ie, The Zone, but next time M6 decides to air HL again, I'll definitely pay attention *g* I have to say I really became a fan of HL when Methos arrived, ie in S3 which explains why I sorta missed the MS episode - of course, I regret it now lol

I was getting him mixed up with another actor in the meatier role. (Hey, I'm new to this fangirl biz, and HL has been eclipsed by TS.) You're right; it was 'The Zone', and a fairly small role.

J'ai enregistré ce film y a pas mal de temps quand il était passé à la télé - je l'ai regardé tellement souvent que j'ai littéralement tué ma k7 lol Which is why I've been praying for the DVD to come out and was desperate because it just wasn't happening - so when I saw it over there? Oh boy, I clicked without even realising I'd done it lol

Big disclaimer here: I'm not Jewish. :-)

But... tomorrow (the 16th) is the day the kids have off school for Rosh Hashanah, but if I understand correctly, Jewish holidays start the evening before (sundown? is that the start of the day in Jewish belief as in so many other cultures?), so sometimes you see it referred to by the date it starts & sometimes the date that the daytime part of the holiday occurs on.

Or I could be completely misguided. I guess google could help me, but I'm rather unmotivated right now. :-)
