TV galore

Another birthday for another great lady on my flist - as if my flist wasn't full of them *g* - aka estrella30. Happy Birthday, girl!



Ohhh I love la rentrée - so I never know how to translate that particular word - because you get all kind of new shows and new seasons and this is the best time for the Mouse, wheee! *twirls*

In no particular order, we're getting Joan of Arcadia on TF1, Desperate Housewives on Canal+ and Tru Calling on M6, which is wonderful enough. Then I check the Sunday night program on France2 and wow! Two episodes of a new season of ER followed by Third Watch, which is then followed by Cold Case - I mean, COLD CASE! Cold Case is coming back! *loves*

Add to that CSI and Without a Trace and L&O we have every week and well, yeah, that's pretty nice, alright *g*

Still no Numb3rs though. Here, that is. Because when I checked, I read that a certain Pro7 will get it. I? Hate everyone who receives that channel. I was certainly hoping to see something more... French. Not that I'm selfish or anything, of course *cough* But why can't I have Numb3rs in France, why! Though I do have hope, I just know someone is going to be real smart and is going to land the rights to the series, I know it.

And I'm watching Filles perdues, cheveux gras right now and that movie is fantastic! Totally off-beat and just - I love it! Marina Foïs is wonderful as usual.

Haven't read my flist yet - I mean, since the last time I did today *cough* - so you mean you posted about Numb3rs and pro7, too? Man, that's priceless, we're so very connected as far as Numb3rs is concerned lol I promise I won't have any return of the hate...

I always (well, as often as I remember...) check the schedules of the more interesting channels we get in the hope that they'll sneak in one of my addictions favourite shows :D

I do that too, and I've been kinda doing it a lot more since I've become addicted to Numb3rs in the hope that someone would buy the series. So far, no one did... damn them!

:sniff: If there hadn't been Pro 7, I probably would've never been introduced to TS. Which means I might have married a boring man and have three kids by now and I probably never would've started reading or even writing fanfic.

We might even not know each other if it weren't for that channel. :sniff:

Well, I certainly don't have Pro 7, so there's no reason to hate me *g*. Er, except for the fact that because they're American shows, I have first dibs at all of them. *ducks to avoid heavy thrown objects*

Even though I download everything, seeing those shows on my telly is lovely so I can't wait, really.

And it's one of your favourite shows, really? Nice! I'd heard about that series a lot on my flist and was real curious to see it, so when it aired in France last year I checked it out and ended up really liking what I was seeing. We got a new season this summer and I've been following it every week *g*

*frowns* Could you please not say "CSI" when you just mean one of its nasty ass boring spin-offs, please? *gets up on shoutbox* There is only one TRUE CSI and this is not it! We are not currently getting CSI, we're getting watered down versions. Mph. I know, I watched it yesterday and mourned yet again. [./silliness]

More seriously, me, as long as we're not getting House, Numb3rs and CSI (the real one, damnit, and if possible on a public channel cuz I don't have Canal or cable), I'm not happy. I'll maybe at least watch Without a Trace because it's not such a bad show, but that's it. *sigh* Never been so glad for the internet and my DVD player. ;-)

Damn you totally confused me at first! ll I was like, what did I say exactly? Then I realised you were taking about the spin-off and okay you're right, those are not the real CSI - but did they stop airing the real one, then? Cause yeah, they stopped airing it on Wednesday night but what about Sunday afternoon? Me, I'm a fan of Grissom - Horatio... well, I never watched more than a single episode, it's as simple at that. It just doens't work - je fais comme un blocage, dirons nous *shrug* Except I'm curious about the NY version, if only to see Gary Sinise whom I love very much...

I can't even comprehend how I lived before bittorrent! I had to live in constant pain, that's the only explanation I have *blink*

Ah, you're right, they are still airing it on Sundays. Only it's around 3pm and I just don't watch TV at 3pm on Sundays unless I'm sick and it's raining outside or something. Sorry I got confused, I only ever watched CSI when it was airing at night, so...

And yuck. Yes, Horatio sucks hairy balls. Plus the plots! The non existing plots! And the characters! And the bad acting!

Also, I have the first half of CSI NY on CDs and... nope, no better. Well, it's the same thing exactly only in a different town and with worse characters/actors. I managed to watch a couple of eps and just no. It's boring as all hell.

De toute façon c'est Grissom et son équipe sinon rien. Que je sâche, Tarantino n'a pas demandé à réaliser un épisode de CSI: Miami, uh?

And nittorrent rules! I bet it saved lives, too. Yours and mine for example. I've just downloaded stuff to keep me occupied until my beloved series start airing again. I'm going to try out Wanted for the Lee, and I downloaded some Cadfael for kicks. Still, I cannot wait for the return of the good shows. *sigh*

Oh, and Lost sucks, have I mentionned that already? ;-p

I love the new tv season too. We've just got House and Grey's Anatomy is starting, though I don't really know what that's about. Of course Lost just started but no Numb3rs for us either. I just hope it doesn't take as long to get that as it did to get TS, because man. I love the downloads but seeing it for real on the tv is so much better.

I keep hoping for Numb3rs - and I keep obsessively checking the sites to see if this time, it'll be the right time and I'll see something I like.

UK took its time before getting Lost, true enough. I mean, I'm still puzzled over the fact that we actually got it before you... on a selfish point of view, I wouldn't mind getting Numb3rs before you too. Except... well, if we still don't have it by November, if you could have it, it would be nice, since I'm supposedly coming to London by then. So I could see it there lol
