I'm thinking I'd like some whine with my cheese - if you could indulge me just for a moment? Thanks. My sleep pattern is completely screwed up and I'm, well, tired of it. Last night I went to sleep around 3.00 am. I? Had to get up at 6.45 am - I'll let you imagine how well that went. I'm feeling light-headed all day long and it feels like I'm living in a cotton-wrapped world all the time. I know why I can't sleep - still, I'm tired of the whole thing *sigh*

Okay, whining over *waves hands*

Tomorrow is the release date of the Complete First Season of The Dead Zone on DVD - technically, I know that buying the box set isn't going to be my brightest idea but sometimes you just need to spoil yourself, know what I mean? So methinks I'll treat myself with a new box set soon. Tomorrow even, if I have time to make a detour to the mall. And seriously, the timing is perfect since with all the DZ talk I've seen on LJ lately, I was craving some little DZ marathon ;-)

I still haven't watched Lost 2x04 - and as a matter of fact, I haven't even watched 2x03. I have to admit I have been more excited about both Numb3rs and Supernatural... maybe I'll finally rectify it today. Can't abandon my shiny show, right? I wasn't impressed by 2x02 but I have no intention on giving up on the series at this point.

Unrelated now - next week should be nice. First, Serenity is coming out and second, the Kaamelott cast will hold a signing session in Paris! According to [livejournal.com profile] french_hobbit's smart theory, the whole team should be there. We can only hope now *fingers crossed* But dude! That would be so Very Awesome!

Speaking of Kaamelott: reason #25412 Why I Love Bohort - because he's so the woobie in the Kaam-verse:

Perceval :
Après il va pleurer et tout.

Bohort! *hugs tight*

PS: [livejournal.com profile] yami_tai? I finally read the new chapters of Haru wo Daiteita and I have no words either! *melts with you* And have you read the newest chapter? It's a raw version so it's not as if I could understand exactly what was happening except for Iwaki blowing Kato in their car, of course! Boy was that hot *fans self*

ETA: Guys! Take a look at [livejournal.com profile] kaamelott's new look - we now have a header and an icon and all *feels so proud* There's also a girl who created her lj only to be able to join the comm - I mean, DUDE! Best compliment ever *preens*

Oh yuck! I've had insomnia before and it is about the worst thing ever. :(( Poor you! I find the following works for me:
* DON'T nap during the day, do some exercise instead.
* Put freshly laundered sheets on your bed (smells yummy, especially if they've been hung outside to dry).
* Don't eat too late (like everyone else in France). You should finish your evening meal at least 2 hours before bedtime.
* Around 9pm, take a nice hot bath with one of those 'sleep easy' essential oil blends.
* Between 9pm and 10pm dry off and read a good book or watch a good TV programme (nothing too thought-provoking or scary though) whilst drinking a hot, milky drink (but NO caffeine).
* Go to bed and if you still can't sleep, read more of the book, but honestly if you're that exhausted that you haven't slept properly for days, you will be falling asleep well before you finish your drink, trust me.

I've been waiting for quite some time for the DVDs to be released - and it's finally here! I'm glad I taped everything when it aired here but DVDs... there's nothing better, really ;-)

Thanks for commenting *hugs*

You might try...

a natural supplement called "melatonin". In the US, we can buy it at health-food or vitamin stores. It's a substance that the body produces during the sleep cycle. Sometimes, taking a little extra can help you get your sleep rhythms back on track.

Look for a 1 mg pill; if it's more, cut it in half. (The US, on the idea that "more is better" often sells it in 3 mg tablets.) You'll have to experiment to find the most effective time, but if you take it between one and two hours before you plan to go to bed, it should help you (a) fall asleep easier and (b) stay asleep till morning.

I used it for several months when I couldn't stay asleep; it was marvelous. (However, it doesn't work for everybody.) But I wasn't stuck forever with it; after three or four months, I quit taking it, and still slept through. Now I just use it occasionally. If I have three or four disturbed nights, I take melatonin for a week or ten days, and get back to a regular sleep pattern.

It's worth a try. Good luck.

*grins* I have just looked at the new raw chapter, I couldn't resist... I can't wait to find out what they are saying to each other. Personally, I think Kato is being sweet and understanding, which is why he gets such a lovely 'reward' from Iwaki in the car ^_^!
