Nov. 8th, 2004 01:46 pmSo, I didn't tell you about my Sunday, huh? Not that I really talk about what I do IRL, mind, but it's directly associated with LJ, so my Sunday - was a blast *beams*
Why? Because I met
crazybutsound before she left Paris and I had a great time with her *bounces* I mean, three hours at Starbucks + caramel macchiato after caramel macchiato + white chocolate cookie + cool and enthusiastic French slasher + slash talks all around + queer talks all over the place as well = a brilliant and fun afternoon *g* To add to the beauty of it, she gave me the book I've been coveting for months, and thanks again for that because I know the drinks didn't equal the price of the book, so you're a doll.
I can't get anough of meeting people from my flist - well, maybe because so far I never was disappointed, always quite the opposite *g*
And now - and because I needed a little Lost reference - I'm quite proud to say that I pimped the show to Anne - the girl I go to classand spend my time chatting with. I didn't even need to make any effort. I mean, I talked to her about the show last week or so again and today she was the one who asked me "what my guys lost on the island were up to" - not even kidding lol If it wasn't an overture, I don't know what it was! So I offered to send her the file, et voilà *g* Maybe one more Frenchie hit by the Lost virus, we'll see *eg*

katikat? I received the CDs! *bouncebounce* Kyou Kara Maou is now mine! Thanks, Kati *kisses*

Date: 2004-11-08 12:47 pm (UTC)You're our cornerstone, sorta. And we'll meet too, even if i'm a bit stressed about that - the more i'm beginning to know the FSP in LJ, the more i'm afraid of fucking up when we'll meet for real...

Btw, what about China? Well I'm spelling it like this but I don't know if that's correct, the Methos/Mulder fic you talked to me about? Also, what about more recs for Emily Brunson's stories? Or the URL to her site or something? I quite liked what I read so far *eg*

Date: 2004-11-08 12:56 pm (UTC)And you know, I'm always a bit nervous about meeting people from lj, sure, but not that much... I've met so many people from the online life, sorta, that it just... it feels rather natural to me, now. Sure, there's no telling whether you'll get along or not, but even if it doesn't make for a new strong friendship, it's always an interesting moment. And I'm crazy anyway as I am known for having invited people I'd never met to stay with me for like four days at a time, now how's that for taking a risk? Because it's one thing to meet someone in a café, but it's another to just say "oh, sure, come stay with me for the weekend", lol. So far, I haven't really been all that disappointed... well, once, but that's a bit different.
Anyway, recs!
China, which you'll have to tell me about once you've read it. I'm curious to know what you think of it. :-)
Emily Brunson's site is here: Emland, and I just noticed she's apparently written Sentinel fic as well. :-) I haven't read everything she's written so far, but I highly recommend Hell a

Date: 2004-11-08 12:58 pm (UTC)So, where was I? Oh, yeah. Emily's fic. In CSI fic, I recommend you read Hell, which is the evil twin story to one of other ones called Canada. Both are great, mind you, and if you're going to read both, you might want to read Canada first. But Hell takes it even further and is really the most gripping of the two. :-)
Enjoy!

Date: 2004-11-08 01:48 pm (UTC)Started scanning the stories, beginning with Hell, and you know there's something seriously fucked up with you when you read the kind of things that happened in that story and think 'Really cool, but sorta tame'. Then again, when you have read stuff like The Adversary or Metamorphosis (both XF), pretty much everything will be sorta tame to you lol
But I'm enjoying her stories a lot and I think I'm going to read all her CSI stories which is like amusing me to no end. The Mouse is reading CSI - Grissom/Nick... this is a fandom I never thought I'd get enough interest to try more than one story. Life is so funny lol
