Come back, Wesley, come back!

Something sad happened afterwards that dampened my enthusiasm and don't worry, I'm talking fannish-sad, nor RL-sad here. I went to two, count 'em two malls, and no less than 2 BHV, 1 FNAC, 1 Virgin, 1 Carrefour and... I didn't find the Angel box sets I wanted!
*throws self face down on bed and cries in pillow*
*kicks legs for good measure*
The first BHV had the most pathetic TV series shelves in history and just had pretty much nothing *wipes tears and tries to pull herself together* Then the second one didn't have a single Angel box set left, which was bad because it's the only place where I know for a fact I can find them for half the price... but out of despair, I still went to those other stores, hoping against hope that, maybe, they'd come to their senses with the price, but no such luck. And excuse me, but 52€ for a single set or worse yet 62€ when I can have them for 25€? No.way. So I came home alone, ie without The Beloved DVDs *sniffles*
I'll just go later but damn... I want my DVDs now! *stamps foot*
Oh hey on a different note, so I finally watched the pilot of Point Pleasant and know what? I could enjoy that series. Totally in a B-movie kinda way, granted, but I'd enjoy it anyway - it makes me laugh and everything. And I'm now watching Human Nature, ie the second episode and it's still as funny, so I guess I'll keep watching if I can, I mean *g* I was wondering though... do you think they plan on going subtle at one point in the series? Or will we always get the heavy symbolism and cliched characters and stuff because pfew! But hey, whatever, because the theme is one I love anyway *g*
Also, let me say that RB is ever so brilliant and gorgeous, damn. I could watch the thing just for him. No, I could! I just regret one thing... that the priest isn't played by GM because oh baby the fun it would be! But that's just crazy fangirl thinking, so don't mind me.
And to end that post. Can't wait to be tomorrow! I wish new Lost was back, but it's okay, I'll survive because tomorrow is a) the premiere of The 4400 and b) la Chandeleur, which means Crêpes Night! I'm already salivating *licks lips*

Date: 2005-02-01 08:57 pm (UTC)Second, can your DVD player read Region 1 (USA, Canada) DVDs? If so, and if you want English-language DVDs, I'd be happy to look here anytime for things you can't find. I have an excellent Virgin Records and an excellent Tower Video where I do all my DVD shopping. Both stores have great television sections. And considering the state of the dollar, it might actually save you money as compared to paying the full price in euros. This is a standing offer, all you ever need to do is ask.

Date: 2005-02-01 09:18 pm (UTC)Aw thanks, I really appreciate your offer but it'll be okay *g* I should get the box sets soon enough. Besides my DVD player only plays Region 1 --I should work on that, but right now it's still Region 2). But thank you, you're really a star *g*

Date: 2005-02-03 12:32 am (UTC)I'm way too amused that I came here and found you liking another show, but it is RB so I'll let you off.
It sucks about Angel though, how dare they deprive you of your reward!
And now I must go to bed and say goodbye to you in mail too *g*

Date: 2005-02-04 09:00 am (UTC)I didn't stay deprive for too long lol Though the prices went up - like waaaaaaaaaay up. I'll go back to amazon cause they have better prices. Will take a week or so to arrive, but at least it'll go easier on my wallet *nodnod*
And I'll reply to your mails later but just a little note to let you know how sweet it was to see you back in my inbox two days in a row *g*
