I lost one of my yaoi *pout* We moved a lot of things in the past week, and this weekend when I put everything back in its place I realised something was amiss - don't care how many DVDs, books or mangas I own, they're my babies, I know when one of them has been lost. I have no idea where the hell Passion is now - which is the point of 'losing something', granted. I warned The Esu that if they found a manga with two pretty boys kissing on the cover, they were to bring it to me immediately because it was mine and I needs the pretties thank you very much, which incidentally made them smile because yeah, who else could be the owner of that kind of thing, right? But the best is that they didn't even bat an eye. Henry only asked me whether I really meant two pretty boys kissing or if that was a sweet euphemism of mine for two pretty boys doing all kind of naughty things to each other. I? Love my family.

Something else I loved, though it doesn't have anything to do with the oh so exciting story above, is/are the new spoilers for SG S9 --or even SGA for that matter-- we're getting these days. I know they caused an uproar in some part of the fandom --which is sorta normal, I think. The contrary would have been quite surprising anyway-- but I, for one, am really curious and impatient to see S9, I'll admit *g* Even more than before, maybe. It's like we're getting all those different pieces of a puzzle, and I'm just curious to see the whole picture once it'll be done, you know? So yeah *g*

Speaking of SG - you might have noticed that Daniel is my favourite character, and I never hid the fact that even though I love his character the fact that he's so pretty and everything has always been quite the nice bonus. His hotness isn't something I could forget either, but sometimes, I'll be struck by hit again and this pic? Definitely fits the bill, oh boy! It's fairly small, but I'll hide it anyway - wouldn't want people to be blinded by the Utter Hotness That is Michael Shanks, you know? *eg*

I don't get HBO, so I didn't see Carnivàle until the Season 1 DVDs were released. I rented them out of curiosity, fell in love with the show, and bought my own set. Now I'm waiting impatiently for the new season to end and the DVDs to be issued so I can find out how the story continues. My sister watches the show, but I've made her promise not to tell me what happens. I want to be surprised.

At least with Oz I know how the story comes out, and there's always new fic to read while I wait for the next season of DVDs to be released. Btw, I suppose you've already watched all of Season 4 by now. I'm hoping to finally get started tonight after SVU.

As for series... well, I bless the internet for Carnivale, really. What happened was that my friend rynalwyn started watching it and started saying it rocked, and then said the magic words: Clea Duvall licking a nipple (sorry, I'm shallow). Of course, after that I had to see for myself. I don't have cable, it's not showing here... and I am too broke to be buying more DVDs for now (OZ was a priority, you know?), so I downloaded the first season. Now I'm only halfway through but I luuuurve it. I want to get the DVDs soooo badly, so I suppose at some point, when I have a little money saved again I'll get them. But in the meantime, bless the internet!

Same with Lost, really. Even if they start showing it here soon anyway I won't be able to watch it because ugh. There's no way I can stand Dom dubbed in French. *shudders* So until I can get the DVDs I'll rely on internet. and again, same with OZ. They never showed it much here, and mostly on cable which I don't have so... lol

Also, I do know about Aline's community which I've been reluctant to join mostly because I've come to realize that I never have the time to read and participate in communities. I may have to, though, because it's a community I'm curious about. It's just the lack of time, lol.

Re icons. I don't have a computer at home, so pretty much everything I do on lj is done on my office computer. I work for a large company, and our IS department pretty much controls what we can and can't do. No one except IS has administrative rights, so we can't install any programs, change screensavers, etc. I certainly don't have software for making icons (even if I knew how to do it), and I don't know how to grab an icon that already exists and load it (assuming
the IS firewalls would let me do it in the first place). So for now I just enjoy everyone else's creativity.

I have a question for you. Does your DVD player read Region 1 (US and Canada) DVDs?

I believe in Kinsey's scale too - and I do believe some people are strictly 0 or 6 on that scale. Something I don't like in a lot of bi-people is how they always seem to imply that everyone is bi and that they're just too stupid or too coward to admit it. No I don't believe we're all bi - I can believe that more people that we think would be mostly-straight or mostly-gay, though *g*
