Dec. 28th, 2003 08:14 pmI think using DSL is going to take some time to get used to. I mean, I don't have the 'totally free to cruise the net' mindset yet- and I'm constantly feeling the need to log out because I'm staying too long on line lol
Don't worry though, I'll get used to it *real* quick. I already started, in a way, since I spent a *huge* part of the afternoon, if not most of the afternoon chatting with
rhiannon_jehane on AIM, something I could never had done Before *g* I had a great time on-line before, but I just have the feeling it's going to be so much better now *happy sigh*
I realized my DSL connexion was certainly activated in the middle of the night last night, around 3.30 a.m. I meant to post an entry beginning with : 'I've got a really sexy girl sound asleep in my bed, snuggled up under the covers', when I realized I couldn't connect.
At all.
I tried several times, and then... well, I had this huge grin on my face, because I just *knew* what it meant, ie DSL was now on. I could have installed everything at the time, but I wasn't awake enough, so I just decided to wait, and went to sleep, knowing that when I would wake up, I would immediately bring Blair (that's my new modem, btw) to life- which I did. The installation was the easiest ever! It worked like a charm, I couldn't believe my eyes!
When Sandrine --the sexy girl I mentioned earlier, who incidentally isn't a girl I picked up in a bar, but my best friend who spent the night-- left, I sat in front of my computer and decided I wouldn't leave before a loooong time! Well, that was the sorta incoherent entry I posted earlier.
*blissful sigh* Oh boy does it feel good *g*
Now . Like I said, I saw Sandrine yesterday, starting at 3.30 p.m.
Some days ago, we decided to have a girly night, as in movies and endless talks. Sometime last week, we talked about some of our favorite movies from when we were teenagers, and two movies in particular came to our minds. "Powder" and "The Power of One". Of course, after talking about them, we just had this *craving*- therefore we decided we would rent them, which we apparently did *g*
We first spent an nice and eventless afternoon in the mall, not buying anything, but noticing a lot of stuff we wouldn't mind getting later.
Then, around 6.00, we went home, and watched "Powder" first, snuggled under the covers. Man, there's something to say about quiet evenings spent with your best friends *g* It was just so great. When the movie was finished, we decided to feed ourselves, but since we got lazy, we just went to my favorite Chinese restaurant, just five minutes away from the house. I think we sorta got carried away with the food, but it was sooooo delicious, we just couldn't resist! Then we came back around 10.00p.m, toally sated, and snuggled back under the covers to watch "The Power of One".
Man, this movie is *so* beautiful! I remembered it was great, but I forgot how *beautiful* it was. I love it! And the music is really brilliant too. I need to see if I can't find the DVD somewhere, that would be perfect! Anyway, after that, we weren't sleepy enough yet, so we watched the premiere of "Dead Zone" that I'd taped while we were at the restaurant.
I was really impatient to see it, even more so after I read the comments of some of you guys, and I was so not disappointed! I can tell you I'm hooked on it, and it was just the first episode- well, Sandrine and I sorta saw the episode twice, since we watched it again when we woke up *g* I don't remember who talked about how much they liked how the visions were done, but I totally second that. I love how they're done too!
Also, I'm sorry to say that I felt some pull toward a new pairing, namely Bruce/Johnny. Usually, I wait for some more episodes before starting to slash the characters around, but it just caught my eyes. Bruce/Johnny *sigh*
I can't wait to watch the next episodoes! Oh also, another nice detail. It happens that Walt Bannerman is dubbed by the same actor who dubs Jim Ellison in TS- and I *love* that voice. I don't really know what to think about Bannerman, but at least, his voice is to die for *g*
After that, it was around 3.00, and Sandrine fell asleep- of course, *I* couldn't go to sleep yet, so I decided to read some fics and check my LJ- with the result we know *g*
Anyway, back to TV matter, I'm quite happy about Saturday's evening programs on M6. "Dead Zone" first, then the last season of "Buffy" right after- both being new to us *g*
*Realy* nice, I'd say *g*

At least I would be if I wasn't laughing so much about the fact you were going to leave Sandrine and post in LJ *g*
You rock sis, which is all I can comment on as I haven't seen any of the movies or Dead Zone *g*

Date: 2003-12-28 02:18 pm (UTC)I'm not especially into Angel or BtVS slash, but you know, everything m/m or even f/f is game for me, so I'll wait patiently for the episode you mentioned *g* And no, actually, I realized I didn't know what happened in that season. I'm totally unspoiled.
And I'm a *huge* fan of Willow, and I *really* love seeing her with a woman. I just adored Willow/Tara. So, you mean she's going to find someone else, then? A girl, I mean? That would be so great!
