Had a phone call from my Babycakes this morning, and there's nothing better to, well, make me things better. Thank you, honey *hugs*

Some people listen to songs when they feel down so that it brightens their spirits, it's usually not my case. I'm not a music buff and for instance, I don't really have comfort songs, more like comfort movies or comfort episodes. Having said that, I have this Christmas song that just puts one hell of a huge smile on my face each and every time I listen to it - which is, like, all the time - and hey, since it's the season and all, I thought I would share with you. And also, I'll share a second Christmas song. Just because I can.

And for something quite different now... SPN fans over there? You remember that we'll have to wait til January to get our new fix, right? Of course, you do, I can see you shivering and fidgeting in the corner - going turkey is hell, isn't it? Well hear this: because WB can be nice sometimes - or maybe really cruel, depending on how you see it - they decided to give us a little taste of what is to come in the form of a brand new promo. A word though, it contains a promo for Smallville and One Tree Hill, too. Thing is, I could care less about SV - or OTH for that matter - so I didn't give a damn. Now, if you think it'll spoil your fun, you might want to wait for someone to upload just the SPN part...

Now, if you don't care and if you want to die with us all who have already seen those clips from "Faith"? Well it's here. I uploaded it at Megaupload, which btw, made me smile because, like, just an hour ago I was whining to Babycakes about the fact that the damn site refused to upload anything for me. It seems I'm quite powerful, indeed, I can make things happen just because I mention them.

I've been waiting for "Faith" ever since I read the synopsis and dude, seeing those clips? Was so good I thought I would squee myself unconscious or something. I CAN'T WAIT OMG!

ETA: That Sinfest strip is the cutest thing ever!

Ah, the torment! Only a couple of episodes ago, I was the one who watched SPN "just as a watching show, I won't read fic, noo, and I'm OK with spoilers".

And now? I'm torn between waiting till January with what we have (i.e. the last episode's cliffhanger) and watching the preview, something I've never done before... Because I always avoid spoilers for shows I care about, and somehow I've started caring about Sam SPN :D Also, previews tend to be tricky. *chews nails*

Next thing I know, I'm going to have an icon. *shakes head*

Ah the torture... I see it from here :-) And if previews tend to be tricky, maybe you're quite safe watching that one? Since, in a way, you wouldn't be really spoilt seeing it could turn out to be so much different. Or something? *cough*

The lure of the icon is strong when one is seriously getting into a show. I should know!

OK, so I watched it because I need to try this semi-spoiled thing for a show (also because I imagine January as "fairly close", since if we finally move in I'll have enough things to keep me distracted and then some) and I'm fairly confident it'll be OK in the end ;-)

(I mean, it seems too early to pull a Meridian on us, you know? *cough*)

But this (if there won't be any tricky twist) tends to contradict the theory I was elaborating on, that Sam is always the hurt/whumped one. Or maybe the writers have picked up on it too and thought change would be good :D

You caved in, didn't you? lol I loved those two short previews. One in particular, ie the one with Religious Guy putting his hand on Dean's head and Dean falling to the floor *wibbles*

I'm definitely glad to see Dean hurt for good. And in such a wonderful day too *eg* Though I'd say Dean tends to hurt, but it's usually more on the emotional side... and it's a bit more hidden that for Sam and all.

*nods* You might have a point. I was just thinking about this last night (because what else to do when sleep doesn't come than think of the Winchester boys?) and I almost reached the same conclusion.

See, Sam gets physically hurt a lot, it's like he's either monster-bait or, er, less competent (it pains me to say it, but he can use the excuse of lack of field practice), and it's not like his psyche is scar-free. But it seems like Dean is the one affected by stuff, though he wouldn't show it for the world. (If he were like in Coming Home more often, I wouldn't object...)

Of course, Sam hurt or in danger gives the h/c lover that lurks in me good fodder, and also the occasion for protective!Dean :D But I won't object if they switch once in a while.

It looks like that long-awaited series review complicates the more I think about it. I hope you don't mind me spamming your LJ with long comments while I'm thinking out loud, so to say ;-)
